The text layers that Maliek is referring to is in Title Designer. There is a +T button at the top. Click on it to add a new layer. Add text to this layer and move the start of it to the right so that it appears after the first layer displays. Do the same above to add another layer. Use the help screen or follow his PD University tutorials on this.

StevenG’s method also works. You only need 2 or 3 tracks if you plan and stagger the titles properly.

Hope this help.
5:19 is the term 5 min 19 seconds used in the GoPro forums for the maximum time length of the 4 GB size limit imposed on the sd card for the continuous 4K h.264 recordings before a new file is created. All these recordings are continuous with no breaks when viewed with the pc GoPro app.

The GoPro videos can be transferred to a phone via bluetooth so that is probably what is seen in the second screenshot. The ! probably just means the bitrate data is not recognized on that phone but it is recognized on the pc. Hope that this helps with the terms used here.
Try this: Rename the myvideo.mpg to booby.mpg. Import it to the Media room of the library. Click and drag the booby.mpg to the timeline over the myvideo.m4v clip and release. Select Replace. That should do it.
Quote In the example - I just chose a theme from the standard ones in the ultimate package. The number of menu items supported per theme is not very evident and 3 seems to be a common number. In this case, the number of clips exceeded the size of a DVD, making the whole project a 2-disk affair, and labelling which disk was what is usually helpful. But adding extra text to label the disk, or movement buttons (next page, back etc) just wasn't available. I can't even add text to the title (eg disk 1 of 2) and just highlight it and specify a reduced font size - nope, the font size applies to the whole title.
Overall then, usable but not as flexible as others I have used. I'll get used to it.

Your statements are not correct. If you use the Menu Designer to modify the Travel or any templates you’ll find it easy to do. Obviously you did not view the screen recording in the linked post showing 7 menu items in the Travel chapter menu. You’ll find adding and changing text in chapters easy if you use the chapter room. Avoid your use of the menu structure in your screenshot as your pc is too slow. Thousands of users are happy with creating and sharing their menu creations on the DZ can’t be wrong or are they???

You repeated the statement about adding text. Some needs to be done in Menu designer. Don’t get confused. The menus in the DZ may be a good place to see other users' creations and then do it yourself.

Hope this make it easier to create or use the menu you want.
This sounds like a bug. Using lens correction from any profile should not cause this. You may want to start a support ticket to let them know and maybe fix it on the next patch if enough users report it.
I have found that my previous versions of PD defaults to the last saved project aspect ratio. You may want to go to Preferences/Confirmation and ensure that Always enter the timeline mode at startup is unchecked so that you can see what it is on the splash screen and make any changes necessary. Loading any project and not saving it as a 4:3 project does not change it. Only saving that 4:3 project will cause the same AR the next time PD is closed and opened again.
The Travel menu that you have chosen is a Cyberlink 4:3 original design created more than 10 years ago. I found that it is fluid and easily edited in the earlier versions of PD running windows 7. It is very slow to respond to every change made in my win 10 pc going the menu structure route that you have chosen to use as shown in your screenshot. I found that it is easier to create and name the chapters in the Chapter room of the timeline and then use the menu structure only to split the chapter name on two rows when needed. You do have to change the My Videos on the chapters page.

You are probably doing everything right. I would prefer a more modern menu with multiple thumbnails created more recently that is more suited to be edited in the PD18 menu designer.

1. You don’t need that Root menu. You can uncheck all 4 checkboxes and still add that First Play video. It just appears too slow on your pc when previewing. The menu will work properly on that created dvd.

2. and 3. You need to use Menu Designer to modify this menu. You can set the font, font size, spacing left to right, spacing up to down, and font color by highlighting each item separately. Better to save it as a different menu name so you won’t destroy the original.

4. In the Menu Designer, click the +T button to add new text that can be placed anywhere that is not part of the My Video template.

Check this thread on that Travel menu. See that wmv video on how fluid the menu preview worked last year on my win 10 pc: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/0/81602.page#335850 .

Hope that this help you to be successful with the Travel menu.
Flip in PiP Designer will always give a mirror image. You can highlight the clip on the timeline, see the blue circle in the center of the preview screen. Click and Drag to rotate the blue circle with the image 180 degrees with the mouse.
Cyberlink does have the cleaner tool for up to PD12. See this FAQ: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=16457 . I believe that it is possible that a cleaner tool for PD18 and others are available if you contact support directly.

I doubt that there is any need to do beyond a normal windows uninstal. If one has created custom assets like titles and particles, etc. then they will be lost if one does the aggressive cleaning that you inquired about earlier prior to installing a newer version of PD: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/83678.page . Those bits and pieces left over from an earlier version of PD wouldn’t be there for use at all to be used in the newer version of PD like maybe smartsound, and NewBlue packs will be gone too.

If you want, the aggressive cleaning works too to remove every little bit of whatever. Each person can have their own preferences based on experiences.

Let us know what support recommends. That would be useful to everyone.
You should be able to install PD18 on a different computer with no problems. Some users may deactivate the NewBlue packs license first if they have purchased them separately to be able to install them on a different pc. You may not be able to transfer the PD18 license later if you purchased an upgrade instead of a full version later. Use the Windows uninstall function to remove PD18 when you are ready to do so and are happy with all your custom templates on PD19.

See this section for the Enhanced VR Stabilizer/x, y, z rotational stabilizer. This may help: https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/powerdirector/19/enu/08_11_02_enhanced_vr_stabilize.html .
Quote Trying to convert a few old VHS tapes to MPEG2 with Video2PC tool.
Having connected kit RCA cables with my old VHS with USB on the other end. Win10 installed on my PC.

PowerDirector dialog box says: "Unable to load the disc content. The disc does not content any content supported by Cyberlink PowerDirector."

The Ion Video2PC device comes with PD9 de version according to the company information back in 2014 where Windows 7 was the current OS at the time. These are the links from the manufacturer: https://youtu.be/VZlkDcbApiI . The video is pretty good in explaining each step.

The device does not work in Windows 10 in 2016 according to this user: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware-winpc/video2pc-class-compliant-driver/ec35c05e-8bd0-4845-abb5-d8a5bb092386 . Others in this forum have got it to work in 2021.
In your screenshot you have a 29 frames transition on a 30 frames per second timeline. One can highlight the seconds or the frames in that Duration box and change the numbers with the arrow keys. Hit the preview screen play button to confirm that is the time you desire. You need to save the project so that the next time the project is opened the changes were saved properly.
Quote Is there a way to load a finished project with chapters direct onto a USB STick not a DVD

I do it all the time with avchd. Have you checked out Create a folder in that final burn window… The contents play back properly in my HTPC and on Sony standa;one BD player with chapters.

You may be referring to mp4 files instead. The PM is correct about it. You need 3rd party software. Do a search on this forum for the answers if desired.
Using the PD12 that PepsiMan used. did the Set TV Format/Scan and suggest on the original and it changed to progressive. Produced at the OP’s mp4 setting. The result is as bad as the one he submitted. Found that the produced file is fine when using the later versions of PD tested by the PM.
Most of these packages should work as a standalone.
It may help if you tell us if your PD19 or if it is PD365 is purchased at a New User price or as an Upgrade User at a lower price. As an upgrade user you should have the option of uninstalling PD18 at the time of installing PD19. I wouldn’t delete stuff. Uninstal is the better option for a trouble free pc. You probably did not create any custom assets and saved them for further use.
Quote WOW--this definitely shows the capabilities of the NB IV program! Thanks for posting. I went ahead and purchased the program, and have been very happy with its performance so far.

Hope you purchased the DS365 in time while it was on sale.

The BCC Beauty Studio plugin is tested in this latest comparison before/after 4k video. The results can be more powerful than in using the NB IV/Skin Touch Up fx posted last week. This is the plugin in the DirectorSuite mentioned by optodata. This is a newer plugin that works with hardware encoding so rendering is much faster. See the result here: https://youtu.be/nZV6YakOgsg .
Thank you for supplying the DxDiag.txt. It looks like that the PDVD15 may either be an oem version or a retail version that has not been patched. There has been six patches for it.

Two Blu-ray discs is not enough. In the past I have found that Commercial BD rented or borrowed through the mail can have tiny cracks at the edge which would cause the problems indicated here on a pc. Better to borrow a working one from a friend or rent one from the Redbox to try out.

You may be more comfortable contacting support with the same information and see what they advise to get you going.
The PowerDirector menu system can be great once you figure out what you can and cannot do. Easy to see where one can be confused For example:

Many items can be added to the Root menu like more than 3. The first 3 are for Play, Scenes, Subtitles toggle. The others added do nothing although they were allowed to be created. The item names can be changed to say Play All, Scene Selection, etc. but they do the same thing. You cannot change what they link to.

The extra menu in the Menu Structure screenshot is there because you added a project maybe with chapter/titles created. Use the scroll bar to the bottom to see the chapter/titles in the other project.

From your description of your project earlier, you don’t need the root menu at all so uncheck include the root menu. The first menu you see then will have say two selections; The first title which consist of chapters and the second project which can also have chapters. Try this and I think that it is closer to what you originally intended.
Quote My question is that I would like to have the ability to smooth skin/remove wrinkles in my videos. I couldn't find a way to do this in the Essential version . . . is this something that can automatically be done in a paid version of PowerDirector 19 or 365? If not, what is the best plug-in to use in order to perform this function?

Thank you for any help you can provide to this PD newbie!

I have posted a before/after 4k comparison result video on using the NB IV/Skin Touch Up fx in response to a question about it posted on the FB PD Users forum. Link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCqwE6ulqjg .
