Got free promotional NewBlueFx Stabilizer but cannot install in PowerDirector 365
[Post New]
I got a promotional email for a free copy of NewBlue FX Stabilizer but don't know how to get it running as a plug-in.

I have installed it on my Windows PC, validated it. And now can launch the NewBlue FX Application Manager, which shows that the software is activated and ready.

But I don't see it in my list of plug-ins on PowerDirector.

Please advise me on where to go from here.

Thanks,
Clark Johnson

It's not compatible as a plug-in to PD. It is compatible with other editors like Resolve, Premiere,....PD's plug-in compatibility is mostly the "legacy" NB products.

Most of these packages should work as a standalone.

Thanks for both replies. However, I did get the NewBlue FX Stablizer plugin working fine.

It was under Plug-ins, Effect, NewBlue Essentials....

All of its settings are active, and apparently it is stabilizing the video better.

Maybe I missed it before, or maybe I needed to re-launch, or didn't hold my mouth right before.

Yes the NB Stabilizer plug in should be in this location and it is fully integrated into PD like all of the NBFX packs:

However there's no Analyze button present to apply the effect. This was discussed 5 months ago and last month I contacted NewBlue support as OP in the other thread hadn't posted back.

They confirmed that the plug-in wasn't working correctly in PD and have passed the issue on to their developers. I will post back here and in the other thread once I get a definitive answer, but for now the plug-in isn't usable in PD.
