1.Maybe no one has found a way yet to do that. Someone who has done that in their workflow should post. Reading the PD18 UG may help.

2. An experienced contributor has come up with an innovative way to remove the glass reflection in a video and replace it with an underlying image. You can do the same by chroma keying out the reflection so what image or video you want will show through that reflection.

Investing in a polarizing filter for the camera would allow the reflections to be suppressed before being recorded. Hope this help.
No. Here is a link to the standalone versions: xxxxx
If you look at the small print in the subscription version, there may also be a link.

Edit: optodata's link above does show all the standalone and the subscription versions available. My link was not necessary.

In addition to what Dieter_Wilke suggested try this: Assuming that the Music video is on track3 and your other assets are on tracks 1 and 2. Set the opacity slider for the video track 3 to say 50% so you can see this track all the time. Make splits where you want the music video on track 3 to begin displaying and stop displaying throughout the project.

Move the opacity slider on the clips down to 0% where you don’t want the video portion to display. Move the opacity slider to 100% where you want the split clip to display. That is the basics that you can use. As you gain experience, use other tools such as the PiP Designer to have a more polished and better looking created video.
The PD12LE was never able to burn a DVD. It has not been patched to work with the latest Windows 10 updates.
You should find the video candle flickering effect by searching shutterstock for candle flickering or maybe flames to be used as a background overlay for the effect.

Here the sample images are placed in track 1 on the timeline. On track 2 The candle flickering lighted background is used by enlarging it to eliminate the candle flame. Opacity is set to say 50% or less for the desired effect. See the attached sample image slideshow.
You can always use a backup of the hard drive that you previously created if you have one to restore it. You can also use the recovery partition to restore it. Be sure to read the instructions on the HP website so you understand it before doing the restore. You should also contact HP and report what you did so they can disallow other users to incorrectly download it from their website.
Tomlays - Your BD burner may have come with PowerDVD. Give it a try. It plays all the optical disc types that I created in the past. Don’t have a BDXL disc to try. VLC won’t play an AVCHD 2.0 Disc.

In English: You may want to record say a few seconds of black black video or have a completely black image or photo that you can insert at the end. You can then use any transition between the two.
Quote Crop ,Zoom and Pan tools

Sometimes it may help to see someone else do it on a video clip. See this old tutorial: https://youtu.be/OdqScgItitw .
Thanks for the screenshots.

It looks like that after you enter your email and password, there is a big blue rectangular Sign in button that you have to click with the mouse to get rid of that screen.

If that is not it then click the Quick Registration blue button shown in that screenshot. You can always just wait for a different answer from others that may see something else that may be the issue.
I believe that you entered your email to download that ColorDirector. Maybe someone else can help as I can’t see your screen. Any email and any password you choose should work on the ColorDirector. Maybe the password need to be at least 8 characters long, include an upper case and number, etc. Things have changed since PD17, 3 years ago.

You need to close your PD17, 19, or 20. After installing the ColorDirector you can restart PD with your project. Highlight that purple background clip on the timeline. Click the Fix/Enhance button and click the ColorDirector button. ColorDirector opens. Choose the motion tracking mask. Here are some help files: https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/colordirector/10/enu/06_02_06_motion_tracking.html?q=motion+tracking+mask .

Hit the big Back button on the top left to get back to PowerDirector after you are finished with ColorDirector.

You may want to search this forum for help on ColorDirector and see some tutorisls too.
This video screenshot looks like that it is a good candidate for using the motion mask in ColorDirector to isolate the subject from the background. You may want to download the trial to see if it works for you.
If you are using PD365 then a search on Shutterstock for spider on screen turns up many on available backgrounds that can be chroma keyed out when used as an overlay.

The DirectorZone is also a good source for those spider motion PiP Objects with transparent backgrounds.
Quote Probably something amiss here, 19% CPU is way underestimated. Issue could be too rapid of snapshot at start of shadow file process as windows uses a time averaging approach. Inconsistency also evident as HWMonitor shows 74% CPU utilization.

Jeff

Good catch Jeff. The task manager was paused to end task on Windows Explorer that is locked up. Just duplicated it. CPU utilization is 92% on the task manager and less on HW Monitor. See the new screenshot for Shadow files generating.
Warry answered the question well. Out of curiosity, I enabled shadow files and checked CPU utilization, power, and thermals while they were generating. It’s 19% at 4.6 Ghz on this particular desktop. See the screenshot.

The CPU fan should not stop on a modern CPU that is throttling between 95 to 100 degrees Celsius. A laptop CPU may be power limited to say 15 to 45 watts by throttling. I Would like the OP to post a DxDiag.txt of the pc in question. This will allow users to determine if it is a laptop that may still be under factory warranty.
Go to the Particle Room and click on Downloaded. If you don’t see it in the Media library then change the Aspect Ratio of your project settings to match that of the Particle that you downloaded and installed.
Quote Can anybody tell me how my photos ended-up in the Particle Room? It's not a big deal. I'll just remove them.

I would not remove them as they are the legitimate particle names in the Particle room with the incorrect image for some of the particle thumbnails. This can happen when the pc is low on resources. You may want to shut down the pc for a minute and then cold start it to see if it helps. My experience is that when this happens, Windows and the apps appear to run very slow and it keeps finding errors on the boot drive which is fixed by replacing it.

Try optodata’s solution as it is no cost to fix the pc.
Quote Is there a way to apply a zoom effect on a tracked object using the tracker?
So far I could only apply mosaics and clip some PiPs..

No. It is not among the three types of effects allowed. However the fx Magnifier can be keyframed to accomplish this. The NB Cut Away plug-in given away free two months ago to registered Cyberlink users can also be used. It has more options.

See this link on the use of NB Cut Away plug-in: https://youtu.be/uCotuHofzDA and this one on the use of the fx Magnifier: https://youtu.be/LCE-6gTfpn8 .
The new AI vocal removal in AD12 requires AVX2 which can be found in the i7-4770 or higher as in this spec page of Minimum service requirement: https://www.cyberlink.com/products/audiodirector/specs_en_US.html .
Have no idea. Attaching the mediainfo of that recorded video can supply the details so that members can see what might be the problem. Attaching a 1 minute recording or link of a sample recording will allow others to test it.
I have received responses from NB support and supplied them with requested and relevant info from my pc. This is a response from today:

Hi Tommy,

Unfortunately, this is a known bug that started occurring after the latest update of PowerDirector that we have not determined a solution as of yet. Our developers are working on this with high priority.

Your request is being put on hold until we have a resolution. At that time, we will contact you with further instructions. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

I did follow up that I am reporting this on a previous version of PowerDirector. Hopefully this will be fixed soon for all PD versions.
