Please look at the enclosed video clip
You sure don’t make it easy for users to provide the solution to the unwanted unstable movements of the toddler by combining the text with the toddler in the produced green screen. Ideally that camera recording should have been on a tripod instead of being hand held.
Needed these steps to produce a stable moving toddler to be able to be held in the hands of a young woman while steadily skating. See the attached screenshot recording for details.
- The original QUESTION.mp4 is placed on the timeline on the far left. Tools/Crop/Zoom Pan Tool is used to enlarge and recenter the toddler to eliminate that added text. PiP Designer/Chroma Key is used to remove the green screen background. Produce the clip1.
- That Produced clip is placed to the right and back on the timeline. Fix/ Enhance/Video Stabilizer is used at default settings to eliminate the unwanted up/down and left/right movements. Only the toddler's natural movements remain. Produced the clip2.
- The sample Skateboard01.mp4 video clip is placed on track 1. The Produced clip2 is placed on track2 below the sample video clip. Use PiP Designer/Chroma key on clip2 to remove the black background around the toddler and to resize the toddler to be smaller than the woman so she can hold him while skating steadily. This final clip3 can be produced now.
had tried this earlier today but did not have the time to post it before the PDM responded. You can also do it other ways like the PDM suggestion with motion tracking and keyframing if desired. Let us know how well you were able to accomplish this. I am using PD365.

I used default profile fullhd 40Mb. Also the customized 18MB,
Yes, I stuck the pen-drive in the TV, it gave audio, not video (mp4) the tv is getting old, it only accepts a Fat 32 pen-drive and not any format, especially with a high bit rate.
You can format one of your usb flash drives from Fat 32 to NTFS as a test. I find that they are accepted both in my Sony BD player and my LG TV. Don’t recall seeing it in the manufacturer documentation.

This has been brought up in the past and no one has volunteered to post the result or say they have a pc capable of a sustained 8x or 16x preview speed. Optodata has supplied the accepted solution.
See the attached screenshot. I have a pc that is close to the cpu and ram in your dxdiag.report. It’s on the intel integrated graphics now instead of the nvidia because it is required to have dual graphics available in PD21/365. Using preview quality of full hd, the windows clock timer, starting timeline playback at 8 and then 16x, noting start and end times, then subtracting the start time, see 3.15 for both the 8x and 16x. It is smoother at 8x. In the past I recall higher times with a previous version of PD on high preview quality and with nvidia decoding on 1080p60 video.
The PD365 allows cueing with audio at the speed of drag and moving the scrubber anywhere on the timeline. That is in the free essentials version if you want to download and check it out yourself.

A lot of background removal tools online use ai that can’t be matched by traditional green screen removal. In the Windows PD version, you can set 3 chroma keys, each to remove a slightly different shade of green only. You could try the free Apple iMovie to see if it works any better. NewBlue made a plugin that many users find superior to the one supplied in PD but it is no longer sold to new users.

Sir The images in editing mode (Crop-scissor) are inversed when taken in OM 5 Gimbal making it inconvinient to crop edit the clips in my PD 14 version. Will you please suggest a solution and oblige.
Ramarao.
See this page: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175362383583?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5338678874&toolid=20006%26customid%3Ds%253AGS%253Bgc%253Aef9cb71b883a15514e02d4ae969c2783%253Bpt%253A1%253Bchoc%253A1&customid=s%3AGS%3Bgc%3Aef9cb71b883a15514e02d4ae969c2783%3Bpt%3A1%3Bchoc%3A2&msclkid=ef9cb71b883a15514e02d4ae969c2783 . This gimbal has nothing to do with a mirrored image as you claim. Smartphones allow the front camera to view a mirrored setting on the screen but record the images correctly. Others allow you to see the mirrored images on the smartphone screen but record it the same way as you see it on the screen. Example is the text on your shirt is mirrored left to right. Check for the smartphone camera settings and change it to record properly. It may not be possible on some low cost smartphones.

Try this: Don’t include the root menu. You have chosen an old menu.

I just installed PD20 and it has been a mess.
After 20 versions it still ruins previous installations of New Blue and BorisFX.
I should have known better, Cyberlink NEVER got this right, and it seems lots of people have a different experience with the same issues. Some get a prompt to reinstall Boris, I did not.
My other New Blue installations are a mess, double icons, unregistered, 1/3 of them no longer work in my other PD versions.
It's great when a new installation can ruin previous versions.
Why did I not listen to the little voice that said DON'T DO IT!!!?
My PD17 was just fine, except for the inability to capture more than 4.1Gb of video (idiotic bug at this point).
I will submit a ticket but I'm just here to bitch in public, because CL earned it.
That same 4GB capture bug exists in the later versions of PD too after your report on PD17 almost 2 years ago. Like all the posters, no one wants to report it to CyberLink but only to bitch on this forum like this one on PD19: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97304.page . I have had the same problems with NB and the Boris FX. Both have been addressed and fixed by posting on this forum and by CyberLink Support which is necessary.

Yes according to the spec for PowerDVD 22.

The problem has been resolved as Cyberlink support stated “After pilot checking, we are unable to reproduce the condition you have encountered. The root cause of the condition is unknown, and could possibly relate to the software/hardware compatibility, or some abnormal system configuration problems.” They asked that two folders in the registry be deleted to allow them to be recreated.
Found that in my pc where both internal and external graphics are used that a PD21/365 setup for the nVidia means that the Intel integrated graphics will not be available. PD21/365 setup for the Intel integrated graphics will have both it and the nvidia external graphics to be available.
The problem happens when the display monitor connection has to be switched from the nvidia to the Intel for PD17 to do hardware encoding for the m2ts files for BD. This connection change caused the hardware encoders not to be available permanently in both PD21/365 and in my PD21/365 Business Essentials. The solution for PD21/365 is to delete the two folders in the registry to allow them to be recreated. I did not report the problem for the PD21/365 Business yet. The same solution with different folders will probably work.
I did not have this problem in the previous PD20/365 as I edit in PD365, produce m2ts files with DD audio, author with PD17, and burn with ImgBurn. Earlier nvidia encoded files were not svrt compliant for my BDs. Later ones with a different video driver were. I prefer the Intel QS as being the most reliable hardware encoder for the job on BDs.
Hope this helps others that have both integrated and nvidia graphics and desire to use either one when desired or needed.

Try this: Go to the DZ and check the aspect ratio of the particle that you downloaded. Open your project and check the aspect ratio to be sure it is the same. If it is not then change your project aspect ratio to match that of the downloaded particle. The downloaded and installed particle should then be available.

On the finished, burned blu ray, certain menu items (chapters) are skipped over when stepping forwards through them. My menus are text only and using the down arrow on my blu ray player remote normally jumps down to the next option. e.g. Chapter 1 > down arrow, Chapter 2 > down arrow, Chapter 3 and so on. So, 1>2>3>4>5 etc as you'd expect. On the faulty chapter menu it goes 1>2>4>5, and the selection won't land on 3. If I go back up from 4 I can get to 3 but on one project I can't land on 3 at all. If I play the title and use next chapter I can jump to chapter 3. You can't see this issue in the preview as there's not an exact equivalent to the cursor keys on the blu ray remote (using the mouse you can always select the correct menu item).
I've had this issue on 3 separate projects and been unable to fix.
Any ideas how to fix? Is this a known bug? If so, is it being worked on to fix in an update?
Any help appreciated, thanks.
There is another possibility for this scenario. Creating the chapter markers not in sequential order like 1,2,3,4 and then placing another chapter in the middle which becomes 3 and chapter 4 then becomes chapter 5. It may preview properly but will exhibit the symptoms you described in the final disc.
You can find any problem by using VLC or PDVD to play the created folder before burning it to a disc, saving you from creating another coaster.

Thank you for the feedback. Glad that you were able to troubleshoot the problems and being able to install PhotoDirector afterwards. Your posted guide may help others that have installation issues with any software.

According to the specs, only the 64 bit version of Windows 7 is supported. You need to have more than 4 GB of ram in the pc to be assured that it is 64 bits.

Create Disc/Playback mode button will bring up the menu.

Registry hack or not, these problems need to be reported to Cyberlink support as forum users are not allowed to reverse engineer or hack the program. I would not ask any user to spend the time to fix it without being paid to do so.

I recall answering a question about the mp4 capture from the vc-500 where the OP stated the same problem on the then current PD20/365 that Barry brought out in 2021 in this link: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/85167.page and is answered by optodata in exactly the same way.
The Op stated that he will not contact Cyberlink support as he only had a few more to do and the workaround works and is of no concern to him. I was trying to get him to write the support ticket since he has the same problem in the current PD20 version that Barry reported here for PD17. No , I won’t write a ticket for someone else that has the problem that I have no interest in pursuing. I reported the PD17 then current capture issues found and it took almost a year for most of them to get fixed.

In case you don't want to use the precut, there are free utilities out there that can split clips at keyframes so nothing needs to be re-rendered. The files won’t be split to where you want it. That is a small price to pay. Do a google search for them.

I always delete the older stuff and I only keep current/incomplete ones up there for the most part. It shows I only have 40something GB up there right now. The max size is 100GB with Director Suite subscription. You mean they are tracking the overall upload/download over time as well and not showing any progress meter? Thanks.
That is interesting as I can’t use cloud storage for editing, that being slow. Maybe a user here that has a fast internet connection and uses it for editing instead of file backup can shed some light on this.

You can add fx tracks and extend the fx effects for as long as you want. Never tried it with LUTs.

It looks like the limit is 50GB/1 year. You may have exceeded that so they want more money. I would prefer not to exceed 50 GB in one year to keep the cost low. OneDrive and Google drive also charge more if you exceed the limit at any time.
