I have an active 365 membership and PowerDirector is telling me it is expired.

Hello all,

It was working fine before the new update. I just installed the newest version of Powerdirector. I was trying to back up my project to the cloud like I usually do, but it says that my membership is expired. It says to renew at the Members Zone. I went there, and it confirms I have an active membership with a half a year remaining. I restarted the computer and the problem continues. Every time there is a new update, there is always some sort of new problem that destroys my productivity frown.

Hopefully u guys know how to help. I contacted customer service, but that will take a while. I'd love to edit a lot this weekend but I'm scared of losing my project. Thanks for your help guys! Please be a lifesaver!! laughing

I can't quite tell if the "expired" notice occurs each time you start PD or only when you try and save your project to the CL Cloud. If it's only impacting cloud saving, you can just do a normal Pack Project and save everything to a location on your computer or on a USB drive until the issue is resolved.

If the problem is preventing you from editing, you might try uninstalling PD (either from the CL App Manager by right-clicking on PD or from the normal Windows uninstaller tool), then rebooting and reinstalling the program.

Thanks! I can edit still. It happens only when trying to back it up. I learned more since I posted this. I upgraded to 365 a month into using the entry level version. It appears one part of the site says I am good for another year and a half, and the part linked to the cloud says today was the expiration date. The system is glitched so it appears only someone who can handle billing can help. There seems to be a conflict in the system. I will leave this up still to help others and until I know its resolved for sure. I appreciate you!

It is showing my subscription expired next year(see the screenshot) on the cloud website. I exempted the site and all software from my antivirus. This seems to be on their end, where the cloud service is glitched due to upgrading to Director Suite from the entry level plan after a month.

First please see the PM I sent you regarding removing the personal info on your screenshot.

Second, what happens when you click on the Manage and Upgrade links for the DS LIve subscription and also for the CL Cloud? They are two separate entities, and it's possible that something there will be of use

I can click "Get More Storage" and that only gives me the option to pay for more storage with the smallest being the 10GB one. In "My Storage" it shows that I should have the "free" cloud 100GB but shows no expiration date. It still shows the GBs of content that I have uploaded. There are no buttons I can hit to do anything to help. The "Manage my Products" section is blank and shows nothing. I did email customer service back explaining that it appears to be on their end. Also, since I last posted I tried using my other computer to see if it would work. It did not work there either. So it does seem to be on their end. 90% sure at least. Also, the software on the other computer isn't the latest version. I suspected it was due to the newest software at first but it isn't.

I'm also certain it's on CL's end but I wanted to see if there might have been anything for you to tweak on the account page. For now, I think you should just just go with Plan B until they can resolve the issue for you.

Once that's done, open up any projects you haven't backed up to the cloud and take care of them then.

I appreciate you very much! Thanks for helping! They got back to me saying that the renew went through, but I don't even see a pending charge on my credit card yet. I updated the card info in case it would take cash yesterday too. So I sent them the screenshot showing it has to be on their end. I hope they don't make me do all sorts of stuff like it usually goes lol.

.

I am confused. An emplyee got back to me saying it looks like I have to pay for more Cloud access. I have Director's Suite 365 and I still have access to all the software. If you have an active subscription doesn't that always come with cloud storage? Or does the cloud storage go away after your first year and you have to pay extra after that? I thought it was always included...

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers!

It looks like the limit is 50GB/1 year. You may have exceeded that so they want more money. I would prefer not to exceed 50 GB in one year to keep the cost low. OneDrive and Google drive also charge more if you exceed the limit at any time.

I always delete the older stuff and I only keep current/incomplete ones up there for the most part. It shows I only have 40something GB up there right now. The max size is 100GB with Director Suite subscription. You mean they are tracking the overall upload/download over time as well and not showing any progress meter? Thanks.

That is interesting as I can’t use cloud storage for editing, that being slow. Maybe a user here that has a fast internet connection and uses it for editing instead of file backup can shed some light on this.
