Quote:When loading the GIF to the smartphone, do you place it in the pictures, video, etc. section of the phone?
Hi Dan05201,
I don’t have Moto X phone.
My phone has a curly wire connected to a handset, and a base with a round disc with finger holes in it that one spins to dial. Point being that. . . I really shouldn’t be chiming here, other than having a little interest in using PowerDirector to edit video file segments that can be converted into GIF files.
I’m sure you’ve checked the Moto X “user guides”.
I looked and found this entry, though it doesn’t seem to be too “specific” in describing how to do what you are wishing to accomplish.
Same here as what CubbyHouseFilms reported.
I have never experienced this issue in either my XP or i7 rig.
And I use the Video Crop tool a lot, with various video formats/codecs.
Quote:Is there a way to remove the names so I can just see the waves? especially when you start splitting them, the names are everywhere in each clip
Hi rtys,
If you are talking about the the little Windows info boxes that pop-up, then Carl is right,
you just have to wait till they disappear.
However, if you are talking about the clip titles that are embedded into the audio clips in your timelines, then yes, you can remove them by following the steps shown here. . .
Barry has gone to great efforts, and has done a superb job of compiling a site filled with useful links to a lot of cool stuff that can be added to one's arsenal of video editing tools, that many forum members may not be aware of.
NOTE: If you and others find Barry's site to be as useful as I have, perhaps express your appreciation for his efforts via the the DONATE Button on his "Links Page" here... http://bgillcyberstudio.com/bgcs-cyberstudio_002.htm
Quote:I need to change the audio settings, but I can't get edit the audio (or any of the video for that matter).
When I click on the clip there is no longer the 'Modify' 'Power Tools' 'Edit Audio' etc... features. What am I doing wrong?
Rfyadon615,
Have you tried this?
- Highlight the clips you edited in WaveEditor, then right click and choose… Unlink Audio and Video in the menu.
- Now highlight the top Video portion or lower Audio portion in your timeline.
Did you edit or open any of your clips’ audio, in Wave Editor?
If so, highlight and right click on those clips and choose… Unlink Audio and Video.
Then highlight the top video portion only, and your Editing buttons will re-appear.
Also, if you’ve used Group Objects in the right click menu for a series of clips, the Editing buttons will not be available until you un-group them.
If neither of these two apply, hopefully someone will chime in with another solution.
If you use the two templates, then all the work is done. You just need to remember to first set the Images duration in Preferences to 1 second, and make sure that your stacked Splits are 1 second long.
Then simply drag the 2 templates to end of your project somewhere, and copy / paste attributes to “your” splits.
When you’re done copy / pasting, delete the templates from your timelines.
Quote:I'm in Title Designer but I don't get the Extrusion/Transparency screen.
Hi Cooper44,
Are you using P10, or another version?
Are you sure you’ve chosen the “3D Like” templates section in Title Designer?
The “Extrusion” option is only available in the “3D Like” section.

The First Title page is lost. Any hints?
Hi obiwan,
AS you said, I notice in you screen shot that there is no Enable/Disable checkbox in your Title track. You seem to indicate that the checkbox comes and goes?
This is probably the main, or at least a contributing factor. The check box should be there and visible.
But as you know, you can use any track for Titles, so moving them to a new track may be a sufficient workaround until you get this issue resolved. It may also be glitch as you say you are using the trial version.
This issue has come up before in earlier versions of PD.
As I recall, a complete re-install repaired it, but you could use this forum’s Search feature to see if you can locate the thread(s) on this similar issue.
I believe in was Ron H (?) that also had this issue in PD10 or 11.
This is first I’ve seen it reported in PD12, but perhaps someone will chime in with a solution to retrieve the missing Enable/Disable checkbox in your title track.
Yep, your .dzp does now work on all versions (sans the rotating dial).
You might consider editing your reply to add a (space) between the "colon" and the "link", so when others click on the link, it will be active.

Quote:Just downloaded from the Directorzone/ Motion Objects/ Countdown.dzp (16x9 by Cyberlink Design) and installed it. The webpage preview show that the numbers countdown from 5 to 0. It shows as up as a static object 5 when applied to any video track on my PD9ultra.
Hi tomasc,
You are correct. To test I downloaded and installed that exact Countdown .dzp motion object.
http://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/119970378 Upon opening in PD9, there was no motion, and it just sat there as a static object.
I then tried opening it PD10, and again, no motion.
However, when I opened it in PD11, it did indeed work as motion object just as shown on the DirectorZone download page.
But what’s even more curious, is that when I opened it in PD12, it went back again to just being static. Very odd.
I did these tests on a 32bit XP and 64bit i7 platform.
I know this doesn’t help resolve your issue, but I can confirm that the Cyberklink created Countdown motion object, is indeed only a static object when attempting to use it in PD9.
Maybe you might want to contact Support to see if they have any thoughts on what may be happening here.
