Timeline View: Timestamps obscure the sound wave in the audio track.
[Post New]
I'm wondering if there's a way to move or remove the numeric timestamp that shows up in the timeline view at the beginning of each clip. It makes editing video based on sound somewhat difficult. I searched the forum for this and found nothing. . which leads me to believe I'm missing something really obvious. .but I've looked through all the settings I can find and have had no luck finding a solution. I have found a workaround by expanding the audio track horizontally and vertically, but would still prefer to move this number out of the way.

Thank you
Cameron.

Hi Crafty Viking,

This might work for you.
- Highlight the clip or audio.
- Right click and choose Change Alias in the menu.
- In the Alias box, delete the characters.

Excellent! That did the trick!. I didn't consider that the timestamp was a name, so I was looking for a display option. Thanks again!

It's been suggested to CL several times over the versions but nothing has changed so far. I find it quite irritating, especially with long screen capture type of names. But we wait in hope...................

Cheers
