Hi all,
just wondering if anyone is having an issue with POWER TOOLS>VIDEO CROP.
I set a few points, no adjustments, hit OK, fine.
Make adjustments to those keyframe points, hit OK, crash. Repeatable.
I even tried unticking HA. Same.

Hi BarryTheCrab,

Same here as what CubbyHouseFilms reported.
I have never experienced this issue in either my XP or i7 rig.
And I use the Video Crop tool a lot, with various video formats/codecs.

Never been an issue for me either, but for some reason PD just crashes with this Canon Full HD clip after VideoCrop.
It won't save my keypoints either (for this clip). More work to do. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

I've tried adding a half dozen keyframes using PT/VC on a Canon 28Mbps .mts clip, then went back and made size and centering changes to the keyframes but no crash here.

I ran that same clip through PD, using SVRT, to reduce the cut clip to "just the clip".
THEN I ran that edited clip through a 3rd-party stabilizer.
So, it's a whole new clip. Bring into PD. Use Crop tool aggressively.
CRASH...something in my cropping.
Folks, try not just cropping, but move the video OUT OF THE FRAME, so black emptiness is on one edge, then the other, at least 10 key-frames, some of which you move out of the frame. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Same here. I created 12 keyframes, clicked OK. Went back in and cropped, panned, rotated, clicked OK. No crash.

Many keyframes had one side black, some had two. I set at least 1 keyframe off for each of the 4 edges, but no crash and PD played the clip properly with edges panning and rotating in and out of view. I even moved this clip completely out of the frame at one point without any problems.

Maybe try uploading the problem clip with a link to the forum (even after all the post processing it may be possible that something's amiss). You could also try this clip straight from my Vixia GF30. It's 23MB so it won't take too long to download, and it's one I did my testing on.

GF30? Gee whiz, nice camera. Insert pathetic "sigh".
I think I'm just gonna stop asking CROP to do what it's not really designed to do, and move on with my life. I thought it was a bug.
