Does this same clip have audio when played in the media library? If it does then Click and Drag it to the timeline to replace it and check for audio. That clip audio may be missing the decoder needed if it is, say dolby digital 5.1.
You can check the Windows properties/detail and/or the PD20 show properties on that clip to find out. Alternative would be to use vlc or mediainfo to find out.

I wish to have 2 ROOT MENUS (i.e. Root1, Submenus, videos , Root2, Submenus, videos)
1) Can I have 2 or more root menus ? (eg. "At the beach" & "At the Ocean")
2) Am I restricted to a max of 3 video clips for each submenu ? If not, how do I put more than 3 clips in a submenu ?
Thanks,
Rod
Power2Go 13.0.2024
1} The answer is No. You probably meant the Chapters/Title menu which can have the beach and a different say ocean background.
2} The answer is No. Get the menu in the DirectorZone that has more chapter thumbnails. You can browse or search for those with say 6, 8, 9, 12, or more thumbnails for the video clips in your drawing. You can have different chapter menus but that requires PowerDirector and a learning curve to do it.

Hello
I produce clips created with PWD19 as MP4 files.
Up to now I was assembling these clips to produce BR disk using MP2 format.
For the first time I have produced my BR disk using H264 (to save space). When I read the disk on my TV, I can read the BR sequentially fine but the menu navigation bugs: the chapter selection works and goes to the right position on the film but the reading does not start and everything freezes. Same with the commands "next chapter" or fast read ...
I could conclude that the H264 format is only partly compatible with my reader. But ...
I have tried reading the hard disk file copy (BDMV and certificate) using Powerdvd21. Same result. Readind freezes when jumping to a chapter. So far Powerdvd was working perfectly with BDMV files produced as MP2.
I have checked that I can play the menu of this film on PWD fine ! For information, I have used the option 1 (start with menu and reads in sequence) on the menu parameters.
Is there a known issue related to H264 ? Do you have any experience of such a problem ?
Thanks for your hep
Regards
Alain
I have done further testing with other samples in H264. I came to the conclusion that the problem could come from the chapter marker placed right between clips. Rather strange because I newer had the problem with MP2. However I have added a little space filled with an vidéo effect between clips at chapter start and now menu navigation works now fine. I am still eager to get some comment about the issue.
Thanks
Your post about the chapter markers is interesting as no one has reported this on the forum before. 10 years ago, I found that you have to move 3 frames forward with interlaced avchd in order not to get a previous clip thumbnail showing on the chapters menu in PD9. Pinnacle had the same problem but only setting 1 frame forward is enough. That is because it is possible the last field of the previous clip can be used in the thumbnail. Never reported it to Cyberlink or Pinnacle as Tech Support did not escalate my reported issues in the past. I end up just like you do to find workarounds for all issues and to maybe help others on the forums.
It has been about 6 years since that I use progressive videos and create 1080/60p h.264 (progressive) videos on BD and have no problems with setting the chapter thumbnails on the first frame like you would with interlaced video. There is the function to create a chapter at the beginning of each clip that tests show it to work properly with proressive source videos. I did use AMD gpu’s at that time and that may or may not be the issue. Please read this post: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/85748.page . You can attach a DxDiag.txt of your pc on your next reply for others to look at and maybe spot a problem.
You do not have to produce your videos first. If possible just edit and go to the Create Disc function to save time.
You may want to supply this same information to Cyberlink Support and see what they say or have a solution.

I do drag it into position; it takes the proper position but does so by overwriting the clips on each side (maybe one side)
Here is attached a screenshot of what AVPlayVideo was describing. If you keep your fingers off the Control Key when you drag the clip over then you will receive a white dialog window showing your options. Ctrl + Drop overwrites as you stated. Choose inset when that dialog window appears.

You should not lose access to Phd9 and PD13 at all since you are not allowed to upgrade those at all. Buying a subscription to PD365 does not remove your stated previous versions.

Please read this sticky: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/80133.page and attach the DXDiag.txt from your new pc on the next reply. Let us know how long the project was on the Timeline to render in 1 min. 37 sec. and if you are using a lot of Effects. Let us know the file format and resolution that you are producing. A screenshot of your timeline will be useful.
Please also let us know the mediainfo of the video files that you are using on the timeline by using this online link: https://mediaarea.net/MediaInfoOnline and then click the blue Download Mediainfo Report button. Attach the generated .txt file.
This will allow other users to get a better idea of what you have in your new pc and what to expect and to suggest changes.

I have seen in the past that when disk authoring is 99% complete, the created folder is actually complete and usable. Never had rendering stop at 99%. It would seem to me that the produced file may also be complete. Have you checked it. If the file size looks correct then it is probably playable in VLC. You can then use VLC to create a working file from it.
You may want to contact Cyberlink Support to help diagnose your problem for the next projects.

I know that Fix/Enhance/Color Match works with continuous clips from two different cameras if done at the beginning before editing, splitting, and cutting. It would probably work with four camera videos if you try it and figure it out.

Uncheck Hardware decoding in Preferences/Hardware Acceleration. Uncheck the other box too if desired.
|
|
It does sound like that the PD16 has not been patched to the latest version. That patch should allow the Nvidia GPU load to increase from 0% to between 50 to 100% which may decrease the rendering time for certain formats.
|
|
Try this: Go to Preference /Hardware acceleration and make sure all checkboxes are unchecked and click OK. Let us know if you are able to load the project.
|
|
This has been duplicated in my system when the Color Enhancement is checked with your GoPro 2704 x 1520 rotation 180 clip. This is something Cyberlink Support needs to know as it affects the previous versions too. Try a GoPro uhd resolution clip.

Yes, the first one still works fine, but I tried the next three which still all play like in panels that. I do intend to try it on another DVD player when I get a chance. Only other thing I can think of is if the type of files matter? Mpegs, Avi or wavs?
It looks like Power2Go6 was created in 2009, 12 years ago based on the support patch for it. It supports the file formats of that era. The latest Power2Go13 can be downloaded and used for free where you can use all the features for 30 days. It supports all the common and avc files from cell phones used today including those not able to be used in the old Power2Go9. It may solve this issue.

Thank You for the screenshots. They indicate that you are using the Windows 7 media player which does not recognize the rotation flag in modern video taken with cell phones. I have seen my own videos orientation change from landscape to portrait when facing the camera downward at a keyboard or floor. That is normal. You may want to consider using a different media player that is more modern and recognize the changes in modern video.
The fix is simple. Highlight the keyboard clip as shown in your project file screenshot. Place the mouse cursor on the outer blue circle of the preview screen. Click and Drag the circle clockwise 90 degrees and release the mouse button. You will need to move those white balls at the edge of the clip outward to resize it to fill the screen. There are other ways to accomplish the same thing if you read the Help files suggested by optodata.
The DxDiag.txt was not attached. You may want to consider the suggestions made in the other post linked earlier.
Edit: Op replied while I was still typing.

I have an odd issue where I've video taped a piano player's hands playing a piano.
I filmed it in landscape mode, but it appears that Power Director 15 thinks that this particular video is in portrait mode once I import it into my project.
Any idea how to easily fix this issue?
Thanks
You did not indicate which Windows version is on your pc and which media player that you are using to determine this condition. Please read this sticky: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/80133.page and supply the DxDiag.txt and a screenshot of your Timeline showing this problem. See this recent post for possible help: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/86272.page .

English: Hold down the Alt key and Type 0169 using the Number keypad. This works in the Root Title and in the Menu Structure for the Chapter/Title pages tested.

Thank You for the screenshots. I haven’t seen that before. Having 3 or 5 titles on a dvd should not be an issue. Do you think the first dvd still works on the same dvd player… It would seem that the standalone dvd player has developed an issue. I would try it in another dvd player like at a friend or relatives house. The TV is receiving a bad signal from the dvd player.

I have no problem playing avc 2160/60p mov files from the new iPhone13. There are some issues seen in your screen recording. 1. You are playing a hevc 2160/30p mov file from the media library in which the shadow files have not completed on the one you are previewing. The shadow files are all completed on the videos that you are not previewing. 2. Previewing the video on the Timeline may be helpful.
I do not have access to the iPhone13 to record and download a hevc 2160/30p mov file right now. Since the last ios update, it has been difficult (impossible for now) for me to download live photos and videos to a Windows 10 pc. I have to use the iCloud for this. I may have to buy a MacBook pro like you suggested.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge on the iPhone13 will chime in. Hopefully you can get support to escalate the issue for someone to preview a iPhone13 10 second hevc 2160/30p sample clip that you can supply them and also attach here on your next reply.

If there is a popup when using the NBFX in PD365 then Go to Effects/Activation/Buy Now. One other alternative would be to start your project in PD16 using the desired NBFX, produce it and then import it to the PD365. Other users can suggest alternatives to the particular effects that you are seeking.
