Hey
So all new to this (sorry in advance) but just installed the photo director 8 on my mac, but when I click on the icon nothing happens? I've restarted and tried re-installing but the same issue is happening.
Just wanted to know if I'm being daft and missing something? I contacted the support but not had anything back.
Help!! Thanks!
Sincew you didn't give us more information, the first thing to check is that your MAC is above the minimum specs listed here.

Get that information from the instructions or directly from the camcorder manufacturer. Since the videos don't work, that may mean that they are not supported.
You can use another program to convert the videos to an acceptable format (mpg2 or similar). There are several free ones.

Is PD supposed to play these files? I drag a file onto the timeline but when I play it the preview window remains blank and silent although the marker moves along the timeline at the bottom of the window as if it is playing it - thanks
I assume that you mean PowerDVD (player) and not PowerDirector (editor).
No, flv are not supported unless they are "1Only supports FLV/MOV files encoded with H.264 codec"

Did you try to get help here?
|

Thanks.
How have you done it in the past? Watch this for an example of cleaning up audio. .
Do you have any other Cyberlink software? Perhaps you can use the audio ducking (How to Video) in Power Director 16 to try to do what you want.
If you don't have it, you can try GoldWave (program). It has a lot of features and a free trial.

Yes, it can be done. I've seen it on youtube many times.
Example please.

Hi,
I'm having a similar problem. I create fan videos of my favorite t.v. series. How do I remove the music in the video clip and keep the voices? I want to use my own music instead. I'm currently using PDR15 ULTRA and audio director 7. I also have wave director.
Do I need to upgrade to PDR 16 ultimate, or does Cyberlink sale a software to help me with this problem?
Same answer. If you cannot separate the music from the "voice", then it can't be done.

i just dont understand all the tech terms plus having mental health issues makes it harder
Plus i purchased PD13 2 years ago
What tech terms? The only one I used was OEM. That is free software that came with a piece of hardware (like computer or burner).
Time has nothing to do with it. You can still register the original PD 13 if you bought it 2 years ago. Did you try?

i do have the email recipt but the link provided only goes to my recent upgrade purchase of PD16
You didn't answer my question about PowerDirector 13.
Did you buy it and REGISTER it or is it an OEM? With the e-mail try to register it. Are you sure that the email receipt or the follow up (if any) did not give you instructions to register it?
Just a hint - if a question is asked and the answer is not related to the question, it appears tht the person answering the question has something to hide. I'm guessing that the question was misunderstood rather than tryign to hide something.
|
|
So it looks like you didn't register Power Director 13 or it was an OEM.
Check your spam and junk files for replies from Cyberlink or go to the web site where you asked your question and see if a reply is there. Do you have the original purchase information for Power Director 13?
|
|
Cyberlink's Power 2 Go - of course ! The free version is enough.

|
There were some major changes in audio between Power Director 15 and 16.
Audio ducking was introduced but one of the changes that occured is how to move those little "dots' One must hold down the CTRL key. More information on a pop up when you hold down the key and grab a dot.

Since the OP talked about high definition in his original post, I thought it was important to him -- apparently not.

There are at least 3 ways to put that 1.5 hour video on DVD and have good quality. If the aspect ratio is 4:3 then just choose the appropriate settings in the 2D disc tab for quality.
If the video is 16:9 then choose Smart Fit. There are at least 3 other ways to do it in the settings. Try smart fit first.
High definition on a DVD with/without Smart Fit?

Here is a good intro to PowerDirector 16 highlighting the new.

i have a 1 hr 30 min project running in full HD that I need to be able to export onto a single layer 4.7 GB DVD. Any suggestions on what file format I need and resolution? I cannot seem to get anything to a small enough size to one DVD. And no, I cannot go to a dual layer and no, I cannot go to two discs. Thanks!
Trying to squeeze 100 pond of XXX into a 10 pound bag?
You realize that putting the full HD video onto a DVD will result in a 720 by 480 (old style VHS quality).
Where are you going to play the video?
You can always:
1) Use a memory card/stick.
2) Make a blu ray disc.
3) Use an alternate program like X-VID or DIVX.

It should if the mp4 files are not H264,
Here are the limitations:
30-day trial version
Limited template pack NewBlue effect pack limited to 10 effects
Does not include CyberLink WaveEditor
Importing and producing H.264 video files is only supported on Windows 10/8.1/8/7 systems or hardware platforms offering independent H.264 encoding and decoding
Watermark appears at the beginning of produced videos (5 seconds) 2K/4K resolution H.264 video files are not supported Importing and producing H.265 video files is not available.
What kind of mp4 files are they?
You may want to buy the full version and return it within 30 days if it doesn't work for you.

Quelqu'un peut-il me dire où sont enregistrés les PIP créés dans le logiciel Power Director 15.
Where you told the program to store them. or use Windows to search for the name of what you wanted stored.
Really not enough information to offer a better answer from me.

Sometimes looking at the video clips using storyboard view helps find glitches.
The second video looks like there is a gap between the clips.

I'm glad you asked, I had a completely different idea of what the OP wanted.

What I want is, at the end of my movie for the playing clip to shrink slide revealing the background effectively creating a margin/padding along the side and bottom so I can put things such as social icons, text, etc while the clip finishes.
Currently using PD 13
Add the clip as an overlay to the "backgtound" You can move and resize that clip and any others you may want to add. The higher track number overlays the low track number.
Is that what you are saking?
