if you're just upgrading from PD13 to PD16, then all you need is PD13 Product Key. when you're installing PD16 it'll say that you don't have any PD installed, enter the product key from the previous version...

if you've registered PD13 then it's located at home>member>product & services>manage my products with a key symbol. click on the key symbol and it'll reveal the product key...

also save that copy of the PD16 on a thumb drive with the key.

So it looks like you didn't register Power Director 13 or it was an OEM.

Check your spam and junk files for replies from Cyberlink or go to the web site where you asked your question and see if a reply is there. Do you have the original purchase information for Power Director 13? .

You didn't answer my question about PowerDirector 13.

Did you buy it and REGISTER it or is it an OEM? With the e-mail try to register it. Are you sure that the email receipt or the follow up (if any) did not give you instructions to register it?

Just a hint - if a question is asked and the answer is not related to the question, it appears tht the person answering the question has something to hide. I'm guessing that the question was misunderstood rather than tryign to hide something. .

What tech terms? The only one I used was OEM. That is free software that came with a piece of hardware (like computer or burner).

Time has nothing to do with it. You can still register the original PD 13 if you bought it 2 years ago. Did you try? .

Hi,

As I understand it you had PDR13 installed, perhaps as an OEM - original equipment manufacturer - version which might be a customised version for their systems.

You purchased an upgrade to PDR16, not a stand alone new copy.

You have no backup installation files.

You had to reset your system and now you cannot access the upgraded PDR16.

You cannot download PDR13 to start the process again.

Please PM me your Customer Support Ticket No. and I will see if I can escalate the issue.

Please bear in mind that this is a member to member forum, where members voluntarily help each other.
