Quote What I want is, at the end of my movie for the playing clip to shrink slide revealing the background effectively creating a margin/padding along the side and bottom so I can put things such as social icons, text, etc while the clip finishes.

Currently using PD 13

Add the clip as an overlay to the "backgtound" You can move and resize that clip and any others you may want to add. The higher track number overlays the low track number.

Is that what you are saking?
Did you find the user manual here?
I gather that you didn't save the downloaded .exe files somewhere safe?

As always suggested, look in you trash or junk e-mail folders. The response may be there, If not, go to where you asked the question and see if they did reply and it somehow didn't get to you.

I believe that there is a warnng that downloads file links are good for only a limited time (standard in the industry) although there are some that don't have that policy.
How much video -in time - are you trying to put onto the DVD?

You can get one hour of best quality video on a single sided DVD. More than that, the video is compressed and it is anyone's guess on how bad the compressed video will be.

Note that a DVD video disc contains the instruction to the player and mpg2 files listed as VOB files. If your mpg2 video files look good, then look elsewhere for the issue.

Did you try more than one video player? Disc you change or otherwise alter the DVD?

Now that you have a good mpg2 file, build your disc from it.
Well that was a nice screen capture that did not show what I wanted to see. Did you select the video and drag it down to the timeline? I didn't see that you did. It does take some time. With 4:3 and VHS type input, you do not need shadow files unless your computer is woefully underpowered.

I would have liked to see a short section of the original capture. Do you have one available? I want it raw from the capture and not from being edited anywhere.

I did not see the green progress bar Are you sure you don't have the shadow files activated? If so, the bar has to go all the way before you will see anyything on the timeline.

Using Windows, If you right click on one of the files and go to details, can you post a screen shot of that?

What device are you using to do the capture. Most will do mpg2 and AVI. I don't know of any that will do mpg4.

Carl may be attacking your problem another way so we may be asking a lot of the same and a few different questions.
What do you see in timeline view?
Quote Hi everyone, need some help. Is there any music plugin for PD 16 like smartsounds sonicfire pro 6 or any other alternative plugin apps? PD 16 magic music doesn't show on magic tools. Is there anything i can do to install it?
Thanks

Perhaps this explains it:

CyberLink PowerDirector 15 (and after) no longer includes the third party plug-in SmartSound. If you installed SmartSound with a previous version of PowerDirector, you can continue to use it in your PowerDirector 15. Any SmartSound music you purchased will still be available to you in your projects.
Bender,

Perhaps your fingers slipped? wink You posted in PowerDVD a video PLAYER. You also referenced two different programs Power Director (a video editing program) and also PowerProducer. I think that Power Producer is obsolete because I don't see it listed on the Cyberlink site but it may still be available elsewhere. Which one do you have?

Please repost this in the applicable forum so you can get the help you need and change the title to something like "Nevermind{ or "Error Posting" if I'm correct about the program you asked about.

If the video is 4:3 and you try to play it in a wide screen project, you will end up with black bars surrounding the video image.

I've now reread your post a couple of times and each time I get a different idea about what you are asking (perhaps too much information).
What 360 camcorder are you using? Are you doing the stitching with the program that came with the camcorder? (except for the Samsung Gear 360)

Do you see the line before applying the stabilization? Do you see that line if you look in another direction? Does the line move when you play the video? Can you tell if the line is a stitch line?

In some cases/camcorders, the stitch line is very noticeable. If it is a stitch line, then it is pretty good but not satisfactory.
Are you looking for a video PLAYER (like PowerDVD) or for a video EDITOR (like Power Director)? You may not get both in one program.

What is you budget? You can buy both of the above; they are on sale. Sale ends today (Jan 15). If you buy, get the Ultra versions. The others lack some features.
Quote Hi,

I'm trying capture VHS using AVerMedia DVD EZMaker 7 device. I get well the signal but when I want configure the "Quality profile setup" I dont see H.264 to select, only MPGE-2 and AVI. I have tried to install some codec pack but nothing changes.
I have Windows 10 Pro N x64.
There is some way to capture it with H.264 codec?

Isn't that a question for the A/D comverter device manufacturer? It is designed to capture for DVD editing.

mpg2 is the format for DVDs. AVI is a non compressed format so the captured files will be large. You can always captures in AVI or mpg2 and convert them to H264 but they will be standard definition and not any higher.
Since you are looking at a Refurb Dell, You may want to look at their refurb site. I've had good luck there.

They have a refurb Inspiron 15” 5000 (556. for about the same amount of $$.

Edit to add review.
Just for "yuks", what did they send you that was : "send me a misleading script"

Please don't attack the posters who are trying to help. If you have something to say to the Administrator, address him/her.
Hi, Youngster !

Capture the full tapes as you can and then select the gear icon "Preferences" then "Capture" and make sure there is no checkmark by do not detect scenes. You can select any of the other two options.

You will have to sort through the scenes to find the ones you want to use.
Quote I recently installed Cyberlink PowerDirector(V16) When I launch the PowerDirector its loading 100% and after few seconds it's not responding and closed the software. I have a Win 7 64 COre i5 PC. Any ideas what to do to resolve this issue? Thanks

To help us answer your question, please post the text file from a Windows dxdiag.exe evaluation of your computer. Post the file and not the individual line by line output. There is no personal information except for the name of your computer.

On your computer; go to "event log" and tell us what software events are listed as having an error and what they were.
Quote For info. - Your linked image is being blocked by Malwarebytes. The report states that "cdn.top4top.net" is blocked because that domain has been spreading malware.

What I posted? When I use the link, I go to a Cyberlink site. I read the text but did not play the Youtube video. (now I have)

I have both Kapersky and manual MalwareBytes on my computer..
Quote Hi

  1. Is there a way to create or customize the Blending Effects in PD16 ?

2. Is there a third party of Blending Effects for PD16 ?

Regards

This video tutorial may be enought to answer your question. It is for a slightly earlier version but it may be the same.

This is in the text: "If you are interested in using other blending effects, you can download others directly and for free from DirectorZone by clicking on the Free Templates button under “Downloaded”. "
Please change the name of this thread to indicate that it is solved so not one else needs to read and post.
Quote Has anyone else had the issue where the audio in not syncing with the video. I currently have about a 1/2 second delay between the two where the audio is ahead of the video.

Are you having issues with PowerDVD 17; the player?

It could be your computer. Please provide the Windows dxdiag.exe text file for your computer. The text file; not the line by line read out. The only persoanl information is what you have named your computer.

It could be your set up. What are you using to play the disc(?). There is always a slight delay that is usually taken care of in the controls for your DVD player, or your audio output. A 1/2 second delay would be much more than expected. What else do you have going on during this time?
Good luck ! What is a slimeotory?

I know that the program was designed to work with a cell phone which has only one camera (not interchangeable) I also know that you can run certain Android programs with a Chromebook. Apparently this is one of them. I'm not sure anyone envisioned using the program with both a Chromebook and an external camera.

Why can't she use the internal camera on the Chromebook?

Since no one answered, perhaps no one knows or have tried using an external camera. Your best bet is to contact Cyberlink's Technical Support,
Quote Downloaded Software. Will Recognize regular discs but not AVHDC or Blu-Ray Discs. What is the problem?

Thanks

Where and when did you buy PowerDVD 16; the latest version is PowerDVD 17.

If you did not buy the Ultra or Live version, the blu ray feature would not be available. Your computer should play the AVCHD disc if your drive is blu ray enabled.

Run the Advisor (here) to check if your hardware will handle those types of discs.

If you have the correct version and the advisor says that you have the your rig will play the discs and it doesn't. Post back with your computer's Windows dxdiag.exe text file (text file; not the line by line result). There is no personal information except for what you call your computer. Also include any additional information that might help us diagnose the problem.

Contact Cyberlink Sales (where you may have bought the software) to return it if it is within 30 days of purchase. If you bought it elsewhere, you must contact them for return or exchange.
