Quote I tried again and it did require a password. This time I dug out my notes and found I had changed the password not long ago. That enabled me to finally log in and download the program.

Thanks for your help!

Downloading the program from Cyberlink is not what you said in your original post. That is a different requirement.

Installing the program to a different pc from a backup only requires the key code. Glad that you got it going.
The OP previous DxDiag.txt indicates that Win 11 home is installed. Win 10 required me to create new documents folders without the onedrive and set them for use. My Win 11 installation last year allows me to bypass adding the onedrive for backup. It was optional. I have an 8 TB external drive for that backup. MS office default is to save in your onedrive account in the cloud. Adding that onedrive for the documents folder was never necessary at all. You use Save As.. to save it to a location on the local drives if desired.

The purpose of having onedrive in the documents folder is so that users don’t lose their documents if the pc went bad or got stolen. You have to pay monthly fees for large amount of data to be stored.
Quote I have uninstalled PowerDirector 17 from my old laptop. I thougnt maybe I needed to download Cyberlink's Application Manager but that too is insisting I have the wrong password. Once again I clicked on Forgot Password and once again they never sent the reset link. I tried to register as a new person but they said an account already exists for my email. I'm really getting frustrated now.

Any help you can proviide would be greatly appreciated.

You don’t need an email password to install PD17 Resetting it won’t help. A Product 16 digit key code is needed. If you did not write it down previously but registered it, then Login to your Cyberlink account. Scroll to the bottom and click on Member Zone. Scroll down again and click on Manage Products. Scroll down to PD17 and copy that 16 digit key code. That is what you need to type in and to activate a new installation of PD17, not your password that I know off. Let us know if this helps…
Have you tried this yet? Go to Preferences / Confirmation/ and hit the Reset button and click OK.

Never used a Mac pc with Boot Camp. There are no responses from Mac users here. The PD365 should have all the codecs you need for those sample files. Contact CyberLink Support starting here: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/index.html for the best help.
Sharpness was not meant to fix motion blur in the OP post. It is very hard to fix with any software. Look at the photoshop tuts on this. It doesn't work at all in the AI softwares that I have tested.
Each time you encode, there will be a loss. That is why there is smart rendering. Check the term out on the web. PD18 has it in the form of svrt. You did not attempt any of the enhancements in PD18 to compensate for loss in the re-rendering.
Quote Ok, so Ive made a awesome video for my grand daughters graduation on Power Director 365 and installed it on a flash drive. turned out perfect for the graduation party. Of course Mom and Dad want a copy on a DVD, so here is the problem. The computer I have PD365 has no DVD burner. So I have PD14 on another computer that has a DVD burner, and Ive always used PD14 and burned plenty of videos from that computer. So I uploaded the file from the flashdrive to PD14. I see it in my library, and drag it to my time line so I can finish and make a DVD... But it only plays the video and no the audio. Now on the timeline I can see the video line patterns like you should be able to here it, but as soon as I hit play to view the time line turns grey, but will still play video but no audio. If I do the exact same thing in PD365 on the other computer I can view video and here audio.. But again I have no burner on the new computer.
What would be causing the timeline to turn grey and playback no audio on PD14??

You could export the video to a different, older video/audio format that you know is compatible in the past and can be imported to PD14.

You can also create that DVD Folder or image in PD365. Copy it to the other pc with
PD14. You can then burn it with any disc burning software like Power2Go, or ImgBurn (freeware).

All of my glass slides are 2" x 2" positive. They are cardboard slides mounted in anti-newton glass. Have yet to see a negative one.

Will try out this website after I set to photo effect to negative in my cell phone camera to try it out.
You guessed right, Jeff. 5000 is the Default setting. I had to increase it a few times because in PD365 it lets me know how much is in the cache already and had to increase it to a larger number to allow more content downloads.

It being that June 12 has passed. No more shutterstock downloads are allowed within the program. Other downloads are allowed.
Sometimes a post is not worded correctly like in the Shadow file post. I remember a similar message when downloading content from Shutterstock in the past when the cache size was low. It asks you to increase the size or delete other content..It doesn’t matter what is the drive size or free space.
I just tried the 9 step method posted by ynotfish except that I already had the middle steps from a previous DZ download from PIC. Exporting a batch of photos with a preset is as easy as a few mouse clicks and it’s done. It is that easy.
According to the Cyberlink PhotoDirector website, they recommend that you use # 8 on their list to do the batch conversion with one click: https://www.cyberlink.com/blog/photo-editing-best-software/1127/best-color-inverter-software .

ynotfish answered first. That may be all you need. Try it first.
Quote hi,
untill now very happy with PD365!

but now all clips from camera, phone all in 4K doen't generate rendering and so when edit on the timeline some clips go slowly, or stop or jump: difficult to cut excatly when I want and when look the edit it's not going as sometimes stop or jump

so I asked to the technician who told me that they will look for this problem as the technician team have a list of problems to correct and this described is one of them, but they didn't knpw when will be done?!?!?!?! maybe with the new update maybe not...

this is creating a lot of troubles as you can image!

someone have same problem?

some solution maybe waiting the tean technician?

I update the PD365, I update graphic driver, i update everything I could also PC... and when I send to cberlink team all the asked about Pc.... seems all okay as they didn't suggest to update or change something

thanks

Not sure of what or why you want pre-rendering on your timeline for 4K video editing.

If PD365 works in editing non 4K lower resolution videos on your pc, then I would set the timeline preview quality from ulta to high. That may be all you need to edit 4K videos on the timeline. If that doesn’t help then go to Preferences/General and check Enable shadow files…

The option you want is in Preferences /General and check Render a preview of the timeline… Don’t think that you should use it.
Can you explain in detail on how you are trying to capture the miniDV... Firewire interface is the best way.

English:
The .mts file uses ac-3 or dolby digital audio. You need a computer that has windows 10 or 11 as the operating system. See this FAQ: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=24372 .

Quote "Audio Codec" issue got me thinking.
So on this one I have made a .WAV copy unspliced of each video clip used, just so I can simply drop it onto and overwrite the original, and it behaves almost perfect.
The point is, Powerdirector should not be tripping up on what is a standard Camcorder video file format in the first place

I know that Panasonic avchd uses Dolby Digital audio as it is the standard for the blu-ray format as I use it and Sony uses it too. DD5.1 audio does not have any issues except that it cannot be produced in PD365 and svrt does not work with the same avchd video files that work in the previous versions of PD. There is no mention of the audio format in the Panasonic hc-v180 manual for avchd or mp4. I never reported these problems to Cyberlink. Maybe you can report them to get them fixed. They did work properly in the previous versions of PD. For stereo audio I use PD365. For 5.1 audio, only previous versions of PD work.
Moo0 File info is a utility that I will use in the future. VLC/Tools/Codec list Channels 3F/LFE. I do see discrepancy in information at times with problematic files when using the different utilities available.
Quote I just got a new DVD and am trying to load the M2TS files in the PowerDirector 21 so that I can convert them to MP4 to save to my media server. I get an error saying it is unable to load the file and I do not know why. I will admit this is my first attempt at working with M2TS files.

Need more info about the file on the optical disc. It may be a BD instead of a DVD. Try this: Load the file to MediaInfoOnline: https://mediaarea.net/MediaInfoOnline and download the text mediainfo report. Attach it to your next reply.
The avchd files use dolby digital audio. I do recall the audio glitches reported in this forum. The fix was to download an update. See this old link: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97734.page#392955 . Patches were created to fix these problems.

See this sticky: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97579.page . A DxDiag.txt and the exact PD21 version on the OP pc can be helpful to diagnose the issue.
