PowerDirector 18: Blurrier produced video than original

Hello!

When trying to produce a video from two recorded files, I'm getting a blurrier image in the produced video than in the original, even with what appears to be the exact same settings as the original files (except average bitrate, which is much higher). Here are screenshots to illustrate what I mean, and VLC media info to show what the settings are:

OriginalProduced

Original Vid Codec Produced Codec
What the originals have that the PD produced video lacks are the color settings, the ITU-R BT.601 (525 lines, 60 Hz), the color transfer function: sRGB, and the color space ITU-R BT.601. Is that the issue? If it could be, how do I set it up in PowerDirector? I've looked but haven't found any type of setting for it.

This is the profile I used for producing the video:

Powerdirector settings

I've tried setting Frame Rate to 60, no difference. Tried Entropy coding to CABAC, no difference. Tried Average bitrate at 6000, 8000 and 15000 K bps, no difference. I've also tried with "use deblocking" on/off, as well as "Use dynamic GOP" on/off without it changing the blurryness of the produced video. Surely there's something I can do to make the finished video look just as crisp as the original?

Thanks!

Each time you encode, there will be a loss. That is why there is smart rendering. Check the term out on the web. PD18 has it in the form of svrt. You did not attempt any of the enhancements in PD18 to compensate for loss in the re-rendering.
