The avchd files use dolby digital audio. I do recall the audio glitches reported in this forum. The fix was to download an update. See this old link: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97734.page#392955 . Patches were created to fix these problems.
See this sticky: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97579.page . A DxDiag.txt and the exact PD21 version on the OP pc can be helpful to diagnose the issue.

That 9:16 video is going to require shadow files to be enabled in my system whereas the 16:9 one worked properly without them.

The same post by the OP in the PD previous version forum with the same but embedded video does show an audio silence a fraction of a second before that overlap transition occurs. That post appear to have been deleted yesterday.

I would like for you to attach say a 10 second sample recording of a 10 bit video from the GoPro 11 to check out on my system.
|
|
In your above settings screenshot, your Profile export is set to 60 fps, while your timeline is set to 30 fps instead of 29.97 so I will assume that you don’t live in North America. You claim earlier that your camera recording is set to 24 fps. None of these settings match which will cause judder in the exported file. Try optodata’s conversion solution. It should help.

The digital artifact is shown in the attached image. This can be when there is a lot of motion at a low bitrate. You could use 30 or 60 fps to record instead of 24.
If those artifacts do not show on the clip in the media library or other viewers on the pc, then go to preferences/Hardware acceleration and uncheck the hardware decoding and click OK. That should fix it. Use a 24 fps timeline to match the clips you recorded or export.

I tested the GoPro clip supplied by Tony. Slowed a range of the 12 second clip down and using the interpolation technology and produced it with no problem.
This being a short uhd 4k 120 fps clip required no shadow files. I normally use shadow files for editing my GoPro 4K 60 fps videos in the past. The codec must have been improved.

Your description indicates one of the recent models of the GoPro. Would like to have a 5 to 10 sec. Sample clip recorded of the same description attached on your next reply to check out on my system.

The Panasonic DVD recorder is an excellent solution. I have an earlier model that Barry mentions that he uses as Time Base Corrector for bad videotapes as a pass-thru. You have nailed it. 1, 2, and 4 hours on a single sided DVD-R are also of excellent quality. Do you have the model number of the unit you have? They sell for a lot of money on ebay.

To answer your specific question, see this link: https://www.amazon.com/Capture-Streaming-Broadcasting-Conference-Teaching/dp/B09FLN63B3/ref=asc_df_B09FLN63B3?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80333187606936&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583932715431388&psc=1 . Scroll down the page to ‘Looking for specific info? and type in ‘standalone dvd player’ and you’ll get the answer you are looking for. It should work.
PC software can cause problems in reading a DVD. See this recent link: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/118665.page#post_box_446674 . One software sees the disk as blank and another software sees the same disc correctly as having data and plays properly using windows software. I am using win 11. They key may be to slow the drive reading speed down
I knew back then when win 98 and xp may have problems reading a cd/dvd drive if it also is spinning too fast. Utilities such as Nero drive speed with an aspi manager can be used to slow the drive read speed down to 1x speed. See this link: https://web.archive.org/web/20070321024628/http://www.cdspeed2000.com/download.html . I don’t have win xp anymore and don’t know if these free utilities will work with your win 7.
Hoping that users with optical disc experience will chime in with their knowledge on what they do to fix the problem of disc reads. I have disassembled drives in the past to clean and lubricate them like when a stick on paper disc label (popular in the past) disintegrated at a high spin speed of 52X. Dollar stores sell CD drive lens cleaners but I don’t want to use them on an optical drive if I can’t control the spin speed. Too fast may damage the drive. You may want to do some research on your own optical drives if those dvd are valuable to you.

I reached out to cyberlink support and they said the removal was intentional, but that may have been a generic answer from the support representative, no way to be sure.
I believe that in the participation of the Improvement program, Cyberlink found and stated in the past that very few users were found to use the NB, ProDad, and fx in their video editing. optodata found 25 in PD17 that were missing in PD365. Yet the users only reported maybe 6 total that were missing.in this forum. The fx is not missed by the majority it seems like. I used to use those speech bubbles a lot in PD9. They all disappeared in the later versions of PD as time moved on, replaced by more modern titles. It’s like out with the old and in with the new. Software is constantly updated to support new features while old ones are dropped as they become obsolete.
Never complained about the speech bubbles being removed in newer versions of PD. I downloaded the ones I need from the DZ. As time goes by DD 5.1 audio is no longer available in consumer video editors. It may be that Dolby no longer licence it. I still use it.
Users need to let Cyberlink know what they need by using those fx while participating in the improvement program.

Go to the autosave folder of the PD14 and choose the one that is approximately the same date or size of the .pds the last time you opened the project in PD14.
Another solution is to do this on a different PD14 .pds file. Do what you did but do a save as in PD365 and add a suffix of -21 before saving. Use a file compare app and see the difference and make the changes to get it to open in PD14. Many PD users have been able to fix it in the past. This being your first time may take a while.

Perhaps cleaning the data surface of the disc with a cd cleaner kit with a solution from a dollar store or cleaning it with a mild detergent solution and then drying it may help.
You can archive the VIDEO_TS folder for win 7 use or create an image that can be mounted in win10 later without an extra disc utility.

You can connect the optical drive first before powering up the computer. The software may then be able to see the external drive.
Make sure that the external drive has power connected and power it up too before proceeding and to connect the usb data cable.

I little different then that. I want the resultant mixed audio from the 2 mics, to be provided as mono or the same mix in both the left and right channels. I have Audio Director. Will it do that? I cant seem to see how if it does.
Here is a thread that the OP may find useful in using PD20 with AudioDirector: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/11048.page . I tested it 2 ½ years ago and it worked from a new user back then who figured out an easy way to do it with AudioDirector. You have choices now on whatever method is the best and/or the simplest for one to use.

As far as I know, some PD12 functions including disc creations were reported to be non functional in Windows 10 after an upgrade from Win 7 nine years ago. Users had to upgrade to PD13 or later versions.
|
|
No. I can do it with Audacity (freeware.) I Believe that a user here showed how it can be with AudoDirector. You may find that thread in a search.

Nun, ich habe die Abo-Version und damit die aktuellste Version. Bei mir funktioniert das genauso wie von mir beschrieben ...
Dieses Dreieck findet sich auf der Android - App.
The changes have already been made in the English version of PD365. See the screenshot. As Mishka mentioned, many functions have already been made to both the English and German versions of PD365. More changes can be expected.

Looking In the link posted by the OP. The flip tool is the triangular button located to the right of the Advanced button in the Step 6 screenshot in the latest version of PD21/365. That flip button is not there because an older version of PowerDirector screenshot is shown.
The fx flip the canvas style effect mentioned above has been removed in the later versions of PD365.

There is the patch available to Updates Screen Recorder 4 to build 25422.

1. This is a users group, not employed by CyberLink. You have to ask the developers that question. You should contact support.
2. PD14 does not have the newer tool so you only have the old tools to work with. Following the threads mentioned in your comments, I already posted how to achieve that with a converter.
Newer versions of PD have the Profile analyzer in which I use. I recall being able to edit and produce the screen recorder recordings at the original low bit rate of 447 kbps to post on this forum. See this screenshot from the past of a low bitrate PD screen recording. You may not need that converter to achieve this.
