Could you please recommand me some software to do this kind of encoding?
You attached the screenshot for properties/general instead of the details tab which would give the dimensions of the resolution, video bit rate, and audio details of that mkv file needed. Change the AR to 4:3 and select the EP mode to create it. It is possible that the file size will be 600 mb with DD stereo audio selected.

You can try a mask and chroma key if the background is a solid color.

That has been reported in the past. See this article for possible help: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/fix-double-clicking-mouse-windows/ . I find that repairing the left mouse button is the answer if you don’t want to replace the mouse every few months.

Yes if you have the purchased installer for the full version of PD17.

I have the same findings as optodata that there is no audio with the original clips in PD15 but have audio in PD365. The original recorded audio level is low. With the handbrake converted clip on the PD15 timeline, Right mouse click/Edit audio/WaveEditor allows a max +12 db volume boost. The audio mixing room max audio boost is also +12 db if desired to raise the audio volume. See the circled area in the PD15 screenshot.

Can you attach say a sample 10 sec original clip with audible sound, the same as 720/60p in your mediainfo. Can you also attach a sample video at the native 4K 30fps resolution so users here can check it out on PD15 and later PD versions.

Running PD365 latest version 20.3.2714.0 on Windows 11.
I have edited short projects on PD365 in the past. Editing a 1.5 hour 1080p30 precut video is very unstable. I get scrubber crash if I move the scrubber forward and backward to locate a specific point, especially on a split. The cpu utilization goes up as the pc cpu fan spins up and the timeline is no longer responsive. Popup Messages give the choice to close or wait. There is a spinning circle even if the cpu utilization is down. Must close to continue. Must restart PD365 each time. Must save after each split before moving the cursor for the nest split as a scrubber crash will happen if the cursor is moved a few times and the cpu utilization starts to go up again.
Found that Tab does not switch between the Storybook and Timeline view. The Storybook mode is grayed out in View. Page up and Page Down do not switch between the Clip and Movie mode. Closed PD365. Started PD17 with a similar project. Able to switch between the Timeline and Storyboard view. Able to switch between Clip and Movie mode. Closed PD17.
Reopen PD365 with the same project. Able to switch between Storybook and Timeline mode now. Able to switch between Clip and Movie mode now with Page Up and Page Down keys. It looks like having PD17 open, use of the keys, closing it added something to PD365 to make those functions work.
PD365 does not work with Panasonic AVCHD1080p60 5.1 28 Mbps video clips properly with SVRT. There is a color bleed across the beginning of clips for several seconds. CPU or GPU encoding is needed in order for the colors to be okay. All this worked using SVRT in my previous versions of PowerDirector versions 17 and below.
It looks like PD365 is not really good on my pc with the latest Intel and latest Nvidia drivers. Anyone else having unstable problems. Looks like loading an earlier version of PD first is necessary to get PD365 working better.

Ricebug - See the screenshot. I don’t have your mixing board with the ASIO interface. You may want to change the Windows settings of the Input device from the Microphone to the Stereo Mix to avoid all those Microphone messages and popups. I had to change it though the audio driver as Windows keeps defaulting back to the microphone and the Stereo mix cannot and was never enabled through Windows settings.

Thank you but where do i adjust the framerate is it under settings or? Cheers
See this screenshot. In the Produce module, select a profile close to what you need. 1. Click the circled + Button and a popup window displays. 2. Click the Video tab. 3. Click the Frame rate window and click 59.94 to highlight it. 4. Click OK to create that custom profile.
Hope this helps...

So i should create a custom profile call it 4K 60FPS and change the media to NTSC.(
Yep. I create whatever custom profile I want all the time. You can create say 4 of them , each with a different frame rate like 59.94, 60, 29.97, 30, etc. just to be comfortable in doing so. Select each one and produce them one at a time to view each produced file to see if they make a difference visually when played.

It is possible that the OP posted the mediainfo for the chapters menu and not the one for the actual videos on the dvd.
See the screenshot. This DVD will play properly on my Sony but chokes on the menu on a cheaper brand standalone player. The OP’s VTS_01_0.VOB is the 15 sec. Chapters menu on my dvd. The bitrate is higher than that in the normal VTS_01_1.VOB which is the video that plays on the dvd. The bitrate on those menus are always higher on my PD created DVDs unless hardware encoding is used in the past.

I have duly downloaded en installed the latest version. But I have no idea what has changed?
May I suggest Cyberlink that you at least give a brief note of what the update entails?
The PD365 update has been available since March 12, 2022. Click the Update button and the Pop up window states that you can export animated GIFs, In/Out PiP Transitions… I’m sure that the PDM can fill in all the details later.
See this link for the March update details: https://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-video-editing-software/whats-new_en_US.html?affid=2581_1506_799_173454_290_ENU&utm_source=DZ_Banner&utm_medium=173454_290&utm_campaign=Notification+Center+DirectorZone+Bulletin . You should see the four major changes described including being able to utilize both the IGU and discrete GPUs during production.

Your concern has not been duplicated in my system. Placed a Black Color bard, The Default Title, and a sample video clip sequentially on track 1. Placed the Fade transition between the Title and clip as Overlap. Placed the transition as a Prefix at the beginning of the clip. Placed the transition between the Title and clip again as Cross behavior and all is still well. Replacing that Title with one that has starting and ending effects did not change the behavior I see.
Some Transitions do have a Direction setting but none have a reverse transition button that I can recall.
It may be helpful to others if you post a screenshot of your expanded timeline with the scrubber on the beginning of the transition. It may also be helpful if you do a screen recording showing that behavior.

You are confusing others. The HD3000 graphics were released back in 2011. The nvidia 4200 card was an agp card released in 2002. The two could not be in the same win 7 pc as pci express connectors and not agp were on the motherboard.
You haven’t said that if you upgraded the windows 7 os in your old pc and added the nvidia gtx 1060 card which would be accepted on that motherboard or if you are talking about a different computer. If that is the case, you may disconnect the monitor cable from the external nvidia card and connect it to the one on the motherboard.
You may want to check your PD13 version and update it to the latest patch too. That would increase the OS compatibility to Windows 10 if you have not done so.

|
The necessary gpu rendering can be done with the Intel HD Graphics 3000, NIVDVA 4200 with the original year 2012 driver and not any updated ones, or with the Intel UHD Graphics 630. The GTX 1060 is a no-no if the menu is created properly for PD13.
|
|
You haven’t supplied the make and model number of the standalone dvd player or details about the gpu on your two different pc. It is possible that the old standalone player requires a pc to have the video card enabled on an old nvidia, or an amd, or intel gpu to make a lower bitrate menu that work in old cheap dvd players. That may be supplied in an old pc. The newer pc may have a modern nvidia card in which the proper dvd menu cannot be made for that old standalone dvd player.
I found the fix years ago that buying a high end sony standalone will play them properly whether gpu (hardware encoding) is enabled or not in creating the dvd.
The sony standalone players do have other problems that StevenG mentioned that they lock up but it does not happen in other players if the videos are not encoded properly.
Buying a recent modern dvd player may be necessary if you want to create them in your particular win 11 pc.

I do recall making all those autoplay settings in the earlier versions of Windows. For Win 10, try this: Go to settings. Search for Autoplay and turn it off.

You did not say which version of Windows that you are using. This FAQ might help: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=17624 .

1. Not to my knowledge.
2. I don’t know. The PowerDvd 21 Essential is a trial version for you to use and compare with the premium features for 2 weeks for you to decide whether you want to buy it.
3. The new versions have more new features. Read about it the Product/Comparison/Learning/Specs and Award page to help you decide during your trial period.

There are many ways to use 4:3 clips in a 16:9 project timeline. I prefer to leave it on the timeline as is. Some users prefer to stretch the clip horizontally and reposition the clip vertically using PiP Designer. Others may want it to be done automatically. Highlight the 4:3 clip and Right mouse click on it. A popup window opens. Choose Set Clip Format/Set Aspect Ratio/Select Not 4:3, 16:9… Use the Drop Down arrow to select UseCLPV to stretch clip to 16:9 AR… Depending on the subject material You may prefer the last option.
