I have duly downloaded en installed the latest version. But I have no idea what has changed?

May I suggest Cyberlink that you at least give a brief note of what the update entails?

The PD365 update has been available since March 12, 2022. Click the Update button and the Pop up window states that you can export animated GIFs, In/Out PiP Transitions… I’m sure that the PDM can fill in all the details later.

See this link for the March update details: https://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-video-editing-software/whats-new_en_US.html?affid=2581_1506_799_173454_290_ENU&utm_source=DZ_Banner&utm_medium=173454_290&utm_campaign=Notification+Center+DirectorZone+Bulletin . You should see the four major changes described including being able to utilize both the IGU and discrete GPUs during production.

Yes thanks, indeed, that was version 20.3.2701 that was available since 10 March I believe. I was interested in the changes for 2714 too, available since 16 March according to my version of CAM. :

Probably a little bit deceiving. More than likely this is just Intel's Hyper Encode being exposed which really only supports Intel based iGPU and dGPU so not as generic as it sounds in the link. Not too many users currently have an Intel dGPU for desktop, but those that do, (and some laptops), should be an encode performance improvement. Intel has been showing ~1.4x speed improvement with other encoding products (HandBrake, DaVinci…).

Since maybe 4 days between 365 version pushes, my guess more of a FUBAR but you'll never get that in the release notes!

Hello,

My CyberLink contact informed me that the 2714 update is to apply a hotfix for a crash issue in the download stock media window. I have asked them to put this info in CAM. Let's hope they do.

Cheers
