You may want to Right mouse click in the Media library and Click Remove all unused content before you pack the project. This would eliminate the unused content from being packed too.
Quote Hi,

When opening a 365 project I get a few AppData/***.bmp files.

I try to find them but can't.

How can I track down whatever files they belonged to?

Thanks

oz

You are saying that these ?.bmp files appear in the media library on one project or all of them?

Try this: Right mouse click on a .bmp file in the media library, Click Open file location. Delete the file if desired. Repeat for all other bmp image files if desired.
Quote Hi
Any idea how to solve 'file broken' error.... spent hours on a few projects and now unable to retrieve any.... look forward to your response....

Please read this sticky: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/85748.page and supply a screenshot of the error message.

Use this link: https://mediaarea.net/MediaInfoOnline and get the media information of the broken file. Save all the text and attach it to your next reply. Need that info for further help.
There are software out there that allows transfer of apps and settings to a different pc such as this one. One recommended link: https://web.laplink.com/pcmover_feature_overview/?_ga=2.239219332.627595885.1649616903-104078830.1649616903 . Let us know if this can help.
Quote Yes that was the problem Thank You.I always wondered what would happen if I produced in 3D and I read a few articles online that there would be no difference from 2d, so I just clicked it,they were wrong'

The articles may have mentioned that you need a 3D tv or 3D monitor with the shutter glasses manufactured 5 to 15 years ago so each eye sees only the video meant for each eye. There would be no difference on the side by side video if there was no 3D content as stated.
Quote why is a video I uploaded to you tube from power director playing split screen side by side?

In the Produce Module you may want to use the Standard 2D tab instead of 3D. If you are using the Online/YouTube tab then uncheck the box Share as a 3D video.
I clicked the gaussian blur 20 times in the media library and the cursor did not move. When dragging
it down to the timeline and then releasing the mouse key does make the cursor jump to the new position. When dragging the fx to the fx track where the red cursor line turns blue and releasing it there and the fx is at the exact position. Be sure to release the fx only at that steady blue line for a few seconds to make sure.

Jeff's method works if you don't get it the first tine.
Be sure you have snap to reference lines checked in Preference. You did not state which version of
PD you have and the fx you want to use.

Try this: Place the cursor on the clip close to where you want the fx to start. Use the keyboard comma and period keys to move that cursor one frame at a time left and right to get exactly where you want to place the fx. If you have unsteady hands then it would help to split the clip at this point. Drag n drop the fx on the fx track where the cursor is at.. That's it.
That post which has the answer is for PhD10, a few years ago. The tools might not be available in the latest version of PhD365. or moved to a different section, or have other updated tools that can be used to do the same job. Cyberlink support should know hopefully.
A search in the forums showed that this was accomplished in the earlier versions of PhD. See this thread: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/82578.page . You can skip contacting support if the answers in that thread suits your needs.
You should contact Cyberlink Support here: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/index.html . It is possible that someone in support may have have seen this problem before from other users and can supply a quick answer to solve the issue.
In the Particle room, go to Downloaded. Right mouse click on everyone you don’t want and click Delete from disk. Do the same for the Custom ones.
You should contact Cyberlink Support here: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/index.html . It is possible that someone in support may be able to think of a possible way to accomplish this in PhotoDirector. You can give them this link with this question in the PD Forums and post their reply back to you here. This would help others with the same question.
Quote I have a logo with a square background that I need to make round is there a way to do that? I have looked on the Youtube channel and other resources but can't seem to find a clear answer. Thank you in advance for any help!

See this help guide: https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/photodirector/13/pc/enu/08_06_02_select_area_tool.html?q=ellipse+tool . The only problem I have is to find a way to invert the selection and remove, cut , or erase the selection. Can do it easily in Gimp and Paintnet.

I’m sure someone may be able to do it in PhD. Maybe even the next user that replies.
VLC can usually play mp4 video files that it claims are corrupted and builds on it before playing the file. Have you tried the normal default Movies and TV app. You may be able to fix it with a freeware file converter like Handbrake or others.
Thanks for the attached clip. The online mediainfo indicates that this is a 10 bit depth video without audio. It is converted to 8 bit for editing in PD17 and PD365 as already indicated by optodata. Shadow files are generated in the earlier versions of PD too though a white screen on the timeline. That file is not usable in PD13 for editing in my pc while you claim it can be done in your pc.
Yes. PD13 supports the hevc codec for import/export as in this faq: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=17746 . Do not know if 5.4k footage is supported in PD13 for generating shadow files. I only have 4k. Can you supply say a 5 second sample for users to test on their pc.
You can lock all the other tracks before adding an overlap transition on that particaular track. This is so that the assets on the other tracks don't move. You can release the other tracks afterwards if desired.
AR 4:3 is also available. You may want to do your project in the AR 16:9 as I am not aware of any 21:9 ultrawide 3D cameras sold. You can then change the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 21:9 by searching the forum on how to do it as I and others already have the solutions posted.
That is the normal transition behavior for the default overlap setting. You can change the behavior to cross to have that not happen in the Preferences. See this tutorial for an explanation: https://youtu.be/TKMpDsEe8UQ .
Quote Could you please recommand me some software to do this kind of encoding?

You attached the screenshot for properties/general instead of the details tab which would give the dimensions of the resolution, video bit rate, and audio details of that mkv file needed. Change the AR to 4:3 and select the EP mode to create it. It is possible that the file size will be 600 mb with DD stereo audio selected.
