There are many ways to use 4:3 clips in a 16:9 project timeline. I prefer to leave it on the timeline as is. Some users prefer to stretch the clip horizontally and reposition the clip vertically using PiP Designer. Others may want it to be done automatically. Highlight the 4:3 clip and Right mouse click on it. A popup window opens. Choose Set Clip Format/Set Aspect Ratio/Select Not 4:3, 16:9… Use the Drop Down arrow to select UseCLPV to stretch clip to 16:9 AR… Depending on the subject material You may prefer the last option.
Quote These are the tapes.

Thanks for the screenshot. Those are the Radio Shack brand of 8mm video cassette tapes. You need either an 8mm analog camcorder or a D8 camcorder to play them. One can use the usb dongle you bought and the other with the firewire IEEE-1394 interface. I have both at one time.
I really don't see that much difference in that last video when using the blur transition in PD.
Right now it can be done with the depth mask in the iPhone. You should contact Cyberlink support as this is a user forum that no one knows what is planned for the future.
Quote My tapes are Supertape HG-30 8. Not sure what exactly this means but I'm imagining it has something to do with the size of the tapes. Regardless, does anyone know where I can purchase a VHS cassette adaptors that would fit these tapes so I can move on with using the program?

Thank you for any input. It's appreciated!

Take a photo of the cassette tape with the label and attach it here on your next reply.
You may want to right mouse click on the clips on the timeline and click Edit Cli[ Alias/Change Alias… to allow you to hit the spacebar or the period and then OK to make it less conspicuous. You can do the same on the clip in the media library.

Try this: Rename the clips in the Media Library before you drag the clips to the timeline. That would save more time if you split and/or reuse the same clips multiple times on the timeline like what you show in the PD16 screenshot.
Try this: Rename the clips in the Media Library before you drag the clips to the timeline. That would save more time if you split and/or reuse the same clips multiple times on the timeline. You may be able to write a small program to bypass the Windows renaming so all your files have no visible names.
Hit the F1 key for help and search for what you may want to do. Here is a link to make art from your photos: https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/photodirector/13/pc/enu/07_02_01_ai_style_transfer.html?q=ai .
Quote Looked around but couldn't find any tutorial.

https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/powerdirector/20/win/enu/05_03_00_capturing_media.html from the PD20/365 help(F1) Key. H is the capture button you need with the right adapters suggested.

The result of using PD365 and CD7 for the packed project is that the result is incorrect AR return from CD7 like in your YT video on the first time. Repeated the test several times and the AR return from CD7 is correct but the LUT is missing. Toggling the effect check mark makes no difference in the clip color.

Tried the same 9:16 clip in PD17 and CD7. The return from CD7 is correct AR with the LUT. Placing the same clip from the Library to the right of the one on the timeline causes a spinning circle. Unable to continue to color match. PD17 is frozen and have to end the task with the Task manager each time.

It may be that CD7 doesn’t work with any clip that is not 16:9 AR. Those are the only clips AR I used in the past.
There is no collage feature in PhotoDirector but PIX shows you how to accomplish this. See this thread: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/96517.page .
Quote what you've suggested is my current setup on the laptop but no audio records whatsoever, regardless of what's being recorded. I've even tried plugging in speakers to see if the output was the issue for whatever reason.

Todd604 - Every pc or laptop can be different. Use the Audio setup settings shown in optodata’s screenshot on the Laptop and then try this: Search and open the Control Panel> Hardware and Sound> Manage Audio Devices> Recording> Stereo Mix Disabled. Right mouse click on the Stereo Mix and click Enable. Then click OK. You may be able to record system sounds now if your speaker volume setting is high enough to be heard.
It is possible that your laptop is too anemic. Try connecting to a usb hub powered with an ac power adapter.
Quote you didn't share a photo, you shared a thumbnail.

There is a way to show the image in cocopots post “This fixed it for me.” In the top left of the rectangular box, Right mouse click on that icon on the top left, and click on Open image in a new tab in that popup window. An imgur page opens with a screenshot of the Screen recorder setting showing Audio setup: Microphone On, System audio: Off, Mix: ball is all the way to the left.

The screenshot shown above is good for recording microphone audio and none of the system audio in my view. Try it and report back.
Your screenshot does not show that you used the scroll bars to go down to the Chroma key section. Be sure to click the OK button after you are finished to retain the changes.
Sometime just installing the software again and it is successful like in this case: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/96550.page . If that doesn’t work then you can always download a fresh new copy of the software from the manufacturer Diamond Multimedia support website.
The perpetual versions of PD17 through PD20 have the Library sort by Created Date or by Modified Date available.
In PD365 you can sort by the Created Date or the Modified Date.
Yes that and many new features will be available. You can purchase the 365 plan pretty cheap now with the valentine’s day discount.
Quote Thanks so much. 2 mediainfo files attached, a GoPro Hero 7 and a Hero 8. Both have the same sync to video issue. Again its only during editing and when I produce the audio is synced fine. Sometimes I need to edit know precisely where the audio is and this is a problem for me.

Thank you for the mediainfos. These are GoPro videos with a constant frame rate and a constant audio bitrate. I don’t have any problem editing the hevc version of them on a desktop. I have found in the past that toggling the Preference/General/Audio between stereo and 5.1 a few times and then OK fixes low level of audio heard on the timeline on previous PD versions. Only had to do that a few times in 10 years of video editing. You may want to change the Preview Quality from HD to High if you haven’t done so already. Check to see if 60 fps Drop frame yes is selected in Preferences. Enable Hardware decoding in Preferences/Hardware acceleration. That is all the suggestions I have as I edit 4k/60p hevc GoPro videos without the audio issues.

Others may want to chime in with their GoPro editing experience.
