Hello sir:
I received a reply from the tech support.
I made exactly what they requested, but the problem persists.
They requested from me other information, and i sended, but like before, not answer at this moment
after two days. I bought a new UHD BLURAY Movie but i can not wach it, this is unfare.
Please just led my now what error 3901751298 means or why is produce it.
Best regards.
After 2 days? You may still send emails, but they may have weekend I guess.
Understood your upset, but be cool, guys.
If the software company know every root cause of every error, they may just resolve them directly before you get the software and complained about the problems.

So even now with PowerDVD18 there is no Dolby Vision support
Of course it must be Dolbys fault. They dont care they dont want to sell the licenses. No mediaplayer (hardware or software besides the Oppo 203) can deal with DV even though more and more discs now have it.
Why are there no plans for it why is there no petition or anything? Just sweep it under the carpet and thats it? Its a damn shame.
Just wanted to say that here even though no one from PowerDVD will see or acknowledge it of course....
That's why HDR10 format is popular on the market.
1. A license from the patent owner.
2. Money/Cost
3. etc.

Audio output:
Dolby Atmos Headphone: on/off.
Dolby Headphone: current option.
As Windows now supports Atmos & spatial headphone, could cyberlink staff add option for people who`s has atmos / spatial , just as people who does has hdr support too.
.................
Per my understanding, Dolby ATMOS is proprietary and commercial licensed format/feature.
Dolby may authorize its license to Microsoft giant, but I think it is not equal to that other programs can use it directly without further authorization.

ASRock is fine on my end, too.
So, both of you got the same error on Gigabyte platforms?
Any motherboard model info can be shared with us here?
ghostaries?

It was a long standing issue with 3D playback on Intel's rubbish integrated HD530 graphics drivers which are working in hybrid mode and it is impossible to disable on a laptop. So after reading that both Intel confirmed the issue was fixed on Windows Creator's Fall release and Powerdvd 17 update patch I upgraded my Powerdvd 15. Guess what NOT WORKING with Intel's sh*t latest drivers. Lagging between scenes is terrible headache inducing, audio is delayed and when switching to 2D the driver becomes corrupted and needs to be reinitialised by either unpluging HDMI cable or reset. Also Powerdvd no longer supports SGH subtitles in SBS or OU 3D so you see double subs or you can use srt files from outside. Theonly way around it is to use the intel drivers version .4364 from June 2016. Anybody knows another option?
Have your ever tried the customzied GPU driver version that offered from your PC manufacturer but not Intel?
If there is no compatibility issue with the custmized veresion driver, it is not necessory to update the driver to latest generic version from Intel.

Hi everyone, i bought 2 Japanese version of the movie Mad Max and 007: The Pierce Brosnan Collection,
i set Power DVD 17 Region to A but after loading(for both blu ray disk), it seems like it doesn't display japanese language also the menu title are in English which is odd because usually the menu should be in Japanese but in both case it's in English, also many other language are included in both disk such as Spanish, Italian, Bulgarian, etc(like +10 language mostly European for 007 movie).
But i read behind both disk that Japanese audio 5.1ch is included.
I just tried Pirates of Carribean and it's totaly in Japanese(it has both English and Japanese language as well as subtitles.)
If anyone know how i can fix it.
Thanks!
And sorry for my English.
Yep, your movie title has Japanese soundtrack. But it is not equal to that the movie menu has Japanese.
If it indeed has Japanese menu, perhaps your Windows language is not in Japanese, right?
Go to powerdvd settings -> General -> scroll down and then click "More settings" -> Select the "Movie Language" tab and customize the settings.

same "full licensed" version upgrade without any purchase?
I suggest that you open the software version page in your powerdvd 12 to see the version type.
if the upgrade was freely given, then ask for a full licensed support does make any sense.

"2. What you are asking here is about the software EOL. Best to show you that users who purchased PowerDVD 9 Ultra, can update to version 12 for free to get the latest AACS keys: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/65609.page. "
I updated ASUSDVD v10 to POWERDVD v12 at CYBERLINKs nagging (continual CYBERLINK, not ASUS, nagscreens every time player is used).
Please advise why updating to V12 starts an endless AACS key required loop which prevents me from watching any BluRay movie.
Don't simply ask why support does not continue on a free bundle software for your ASUS device.
ASUSDVD 10 has probably released for 7 years I guess, and you got a powerdvd 12 upgrade later for years.
You paid all the bucks to ASUS to buy an ASUS device but not cyberlink.
Do you know what a retail license is for a digital software and the difference between hardware bundle license?
(if some software has commcercial license (not powerdvd), it will much more expensive than other type of software license.)
If you know the price of a powerdvd retail license, you will understand what you got with an ASUS device is not a retail or full version software. It's just a free bundle for your "convenience".

My support ticket number is CS001873213.
I receive the error code 21204 and E8814001. With E8814001 with Google I find nothing at the moment, what does this error mean?
Best regards
Christian
Did you try BIOS update from Gigabyte?
I found there is a new version BIOS F3 that released on 3/8 at Gigabyte page.
It also improves the graphics compatibility.

With Latest Windows 10 updates, if I enable HDR the Desktop looks washed out.
Hence I prefer to keep HDR disabled. However on such a senario , Power DVD 17 does not automatically switch pn HDR when HDR content is played. I manually need to enable HDR in Windows settings before Power DVD 17 uses it.
This should be seemless I suppose ?
Per info from support, powerdvd HDR (Intel) does not use Windows HDR, so to play HDR in powerdvd you should turn OFF HDR settings in Windows in advance.
And, it play HDR video only in full screen. If you left full screen, no matter the Windows HDR is on or off, video will be played in SDR.
powerdvd won't touch Windows HDR settings.

i have tried three different movies with the same result. The contrast is so high that most of the picture is so dark it can't be seen. adjusting my monitor contrast and brightness (with AMD visionl) has little effect. i am using Win 7. Colored Bluy ray and DVDs play ok.
How about turning TrueTheater effect off to check the b/w movie playback?
Click the eye icon on playback bar, and then untick the video effect.

Hi! I'm having an annoying issue with PowerDVD17 Ultra (version 17.0.2316.62) in Windows 10. The application shuts down with no error messages everytime i right-click any kind of media (image, music, video) of my library or when I try to expand the menu "Devices & Home Media (DLNA)": I discovered that if I disable my USB wifi adapter in device manager (which uses a REALTEK 8812AU Wireless LAN 802.11ac chip) the problem disappears. If I connect my PC to Internet via Ethernet I also have no problem whatsoever. I already tried two different driver versions (one directly downloaded from Realtek, the other taken from the site of the manufacturer of my adapter) with no luck. Furthermore, PowerDVD already crashed when I had the build 1523 installed, so updating it to the last build didn't help in any way. What can I do? Thanks in advance.
I have another d-link USB wifi adapter. I don't have the same issue like yours. powerdvd won't crash or shutdown after those operations.
If you don't use the USB Wifi, but other connections e.g. ethernet, on-board wifi, etc, does powerdvd work normally?
I don't have other ideas for this case as it seems related to specific hardware combination.
Perhaps, you can contact support if you want.

i have a new video card on my system geo force ti gaming 8g
whit this video card windows activate in setings and screen a new option for activate deactivate hdr.
When activate hdr power dvd only work wit Bd remux not work wit full blu Ray 1080 or ultra hd blu Ray. When deactivate hdr power dvd working full. I try to reinstall program and same problem I make some test and now
My main board is msi z310gaming, processor is 8 generación Intel i7 all,is the last generation. Any idea for help? If you can’t help me and provide any information. Games working in resolution ok and hdr is activate,
my license buy the last month in Cyberlink.com activate without any video card the problems coming today when instal new video card.
thanks in in advance Alberto.
per their spec, powerdvd 17 does not claim support HDR on nvidia gpu.
https://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdvd-ultra/spec_en_US.html
And, I guess what you mentioned is Windows OS HDR setting. This setting is available since windows 10 fall creators update.
It seems to me that powerdvd play uhdbd using exlusive HDR via Intel GPU. It is not compatible with OS HDR currently.

Try this:
Add the background processes CLMSServerPDVD17.exe and PowerDVD17Agent.exe to firewall exclusion while PC uses ethernet.

The title covers it. It's just a simple question. Unchecking the "Enable Hardware Acceleration" box in the settings menu does nothing, and I can't seem to find an option for it in my OS settings.
If you unchecked the hardware acceleration option in powerdvd settings, gpu decoding will not be applied during Blu-ray playback.
Enabling TrueTheater video effect for playback will disable the hardware acceleration automatically, too.
I have no idea that your "unchecking the ... box does nothing" means or what you want exactly.
Per my understanding, gpu decoding generally delivers better playback performance than cpu decoding (disable hardware accleration).

I've been trying to make this app work for a while now and the only way I could make it work is by connecting a USB WiFi adapter and unplugging my ethernet cable from my router. The app can then see the PowerDVD Server and works perfectly with it.
The problem is : I don't want my tower to be connected on my network via WiFi! I need that adapter elsewhere and I don't want to compromise my connection speed just to make that application work! So I need to find a way to make the server work just like it does when the computer is connected via WiFi.
Can anyone help me (and probably several other users) sort this problem once and for all?
Does your router support multicast for ethernet connection?
https://www.cyberlink.com/support/product-faq-content.do?id=16988
Do you have DHCP for your ethernet connection or you applied a custom IP?
I would recommend that let your ethernet connection to get the IP, gateway, etc from router's DHCP by default.

Just check if your account has administrator privilege on Windows to install the apps.
If you already are, have you ever tried to disable your firewall and antivirus in advance to check the activation?
Contact their support if it is still failed when activating powerdvd.

When I attempt to play a video to NFLC Media Renderer I get an error that says NFLC Media Renderer dosen't have playback capabilities. But I can stream to my tv just fine with the windows media player. What am I doing wrong?
What video format you were trying to stream?
If it is just a common H.264 video, I may reinstall powerdvd to check if it works.
I would suggest contacting cyberlink support if you cannot sort it out yourself.

Hello,
So I wouldn't have to take up space on my pc hard drive, I reviewed my videos and made playlists from an external drive. However, I would like the playlists only on my pc hard drive. Is there any way to migrate the playlists i created frm the external drive to my pc? Any advice on this is appreciated, as I do not want to have to create the playlists all over again.
Lora
As what I understand, a playlist is just a list that links to each video file. It doesn't contain any video files inside/together.
It could be useless if you only move the playlist files but not video files from one folder to another folder.
Once you moved video files to other location (external to local), you have to re-link new locations of all the video files to each playlist one by one. It might cause bigger trouble than re-creating a new list from scratch.
I don't use playlist.
But, I think you may need to find an exclusive playlist editing app to help you clean those mass if those editors do help you re-link video files with more semi/fully automatic features.

I looked for language packs but they stop at PowerDVD 9.
I can play Blu-rays okay, but NOTHING in any menu is legible............. obviously.
ANY ADVICE?
Did you buy a drive that only sold in Japan from your local vendor, or online shop overseas?
It is not surprising that it will be shipped with free software, which is in Japanese version.
Go to buy a retail version powerdvd for multilanguage support.

You understand my description correctly. PowerDVD calls shrinking the letterbox bars on the top and bottom side – Instant Zoom. You call it cropping. The result is the same. As the picture grows vertically the sides are “cropped” and no longer display.
You state that PowerDVD does not support cropping (zooming) on BD video. Well, yes. I know. That why I asked the question.
You also imply that a DVD can be zoomed but not a Blu-ray because DVDs have more “feature” availability whereas Blu-ray has stronger encryption or something that prevents zooming. This is not true. Total Media Theater can play a 2.35:1 movie on a physical DVD from my PC BD drive and I can zoom it to any aspect ratio I like until it fills the entire 16:9 screen. I can also do this with a Blu-ray disc that has not been decrypted. Both physical media react exactly the same.
So the question remains, why can I zoom a DVD and not a Blu-ray. There is no technical reason preventing it since TMT does it with ease.
I have sent the question to tech support. We shall see what they have to say.
I have no idea if TMT does it with "ease" by their engineers, but TMT let user adjust it during BD playback.
To be clear, what I said is that DVD playback has more feature availabilities in "powerdvd", and cyberlink doesn't implement what you want (that legacy TMT has it) for BD in its program. Then, my conclusion: Video file > DVD >> BD >>> UHDBD .
Technical reason is not needed, as they jusy didn't implement it on BD.
So, if you want a 2.35:1 BD movie to be seamless displaying on 16:9 monitor by cropping, it is not available in powerdvd currently.
Just search the old topics on forum for users who own 21:9 monitor, you will get cyberlink conclusion without further asking.
They were talking about the same/similar feature you mentioned in TMT.
