With Latest Windows 10 updates, if I enable HDR the Desktop looks washed out.

Hence I prefer to keep HDR disabled. However on such a senario , Power DVD 17 does not automatically switch pn HDR when HDR content is played. I manually need to enable HDR in Windows settings before Power DVD 17 uses it.

This should be seemless I suppose ?

Per info from support, powerdvd HDR (Intel) does not use Windows HDR, so to play HDR in powerdvd you should turn OFF HDR settings in Windows in advance.

And, it play HDR video only in full screen. If you left full screen, no matter the Windows HDR is on or off, video will be played in SDR.

powerdvd won't touch Windows HDR settings.
