Version 20 now has the option in the clip “main” menu (right click with the clip selected) to enable it or not. Untagging “enable” hides the clip from displaying.
What works for me is:
- set the project to 21:9 mode and add one or more clips to the time line. On the question, do not change the project to accommodate for the clip format.
- Drag the clip in the preview screen such that it fills the 21:9 screen.
- Copy the keyframe attributes (which btw are no longer in the “main” menu but part of the edit Clip Keyframe menu.
- select the appropriate clips in the time line and do a past keyframes. In my system these clips are now set similarly to the first clip.
It must be the current demand on the CL servers indeed. About 12 hours ago, I could download and install all 365 software within 15 mins, including reinstallation after the essentials that confused me initially.
A bit confusing is that in the Application manager both the essential edition and the 365 edition are listed. If you try to install both you get into circles. Best to leave the essential version alone (or hide them).

Warry, try to trim the audio file to the length of the video and see what happens (before producing)
Thanks again all of you.

I did try and everthing works okay for me. But I am happy that your problem is resolved!
Yes I see what you mean Azehavi,
But I still cannot reproduce it. See my attempt attached. Is that also how you craft your collages?
Anything exceptional in the images or the sound clip you use? Anything addition you can share about the windows version, the PD version and drivers you use? (Stuff that would become apparent in de DXDiag file too).
Hi
I do not seem to be able to reproduce this. The images 5 secs long are these photo's or video clips? Do they have audio aswell. Maybe you can send us a screen recording of what it is you do?
The answer Optodata gave was a very good start already. Given that you repeat the question now, makes me understand that you are still struggling?
Also suggest to use the search function in this forum as most of the questions have already excellently been answered by the experts😊
Depending on the quality of your source material, and the required quality on Youtube, I would recommend that you use high quality if you have it. So if you produce the clip first and want to upload it separately go for 16:9 ratio, H.264 AVC MP4 is not a bad option (e.g. it works for me all the time), and select a profile like: 1920x1080, 24p pr 25p or 50p with 16Mbps (or higher depending on the nature of your video, e.g. more and faster movements might ask for higher bps).

Thanks.
what is a DXDIg file and hoe do i get it for you?
-Thr clips are filmed from my webcam or mp4 clips already n my computer.
I am dragging clips in the tmeline for editing.
Maybe I put a particle in one spot & then move back up and put a photo in. All of a suden the video starts playing very quickly.
I wasn't even laying the video I was editing the video.
Does power director 19 update automatically or do I need a link to do that?
Thanks.
Eddy Rice

To generate a DxDiag file, please look at (the bottom of) this page: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/83321.page

MP4 files are normally fine. Just to be sure, import one of those files into the media room and then right click with the mouse and select properties, and copy the file format information to share here.
You say you put a particle in, is that a PD particle from the particle room? In one spot? Then move back up to put a photo in? Is that a photo that replaces the mp4 clip or do you put it next to the clip? And what happens with the particle? You may understand that most of these questions could be answered when we SEE you actually doing all this. Hence my suggestion to repeat this process whilst you have the screen recorder (which comes with PD) running, and then share the recording as an attachment (next to the DxDiag file?) here.
PowerDirector 19 does not automatically update. It depends on what kind of version and subscription you have, but in far most cases the CL Application manager will determine whether there are updates available and help you through the process of downloading and installation. The Application manager can be obtained here: https://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/application-manager/download_en_US.html
Although this does not look like normal behavior, really many causes can be thought of. To help you as good as we can, it would be a good idea to share with us the details of your system (include a DXDiag file) so that we can check whether you indeed need to update something, tell us the format of your clips and show us preferably through a screen recording what it is you do “moving clips around”.
Just an observation:
I think that the way tracks can be managed in PD is already fairly good.
When adding a FX-track (which btw is a bit cumbersome, why not make that a bit easier CL, like a menu option to add one FX-track?) instead of making the number of audio tracks 0, because of a typo I added 10 audio tracks (10 instead of 0). Then I removed the empty tracks, which resulted in 3 audio tracks only. Maybe it is a feature. When playing a bit more with the adding and removing of tracks, it looked (as far as I could see) a bit inconsistent. One can remove empty tracks, but the first 3 remain. And the remove track option is disabled for the first 3 tracks. In some cases, one ends up with an audio only track as track number 1, which can only be deleted, when moved to the 4th place.
(I have submitted this as a suggestion to CL.)
I understand that Internet Explorer only runs in EDGE compatibility mode in windows 11. PD required the good old IE for a number of internet activities. Did you try this already? Thanks
Indeed!
Good that you showed us how you applied the transitions. As Bernd explains: transitions between clips only work when these clips are in the same track. See the (english) manual): https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/powerdirector/19/enu/15_02_00_adding_transitions_be.html

However it is also possible to apply a transition at the end or at the beginning of a clip, without overlap to an adjaced clip, in that case the transition will move to (at the end) or from (at the beginning) black. See also: https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/powerdirector/19/enu/15_01_00_adding_transitions_to.html

Hallo

I understand that you are puzzled by this Noppi.
A number of things you can check out:
- What type of transition did you define in the preferences (cross or overlap)?
- Did you make sure that the clips were closely connected without any “black” space between them
- Did you make sure that when dragging the transition to the clips that it overlapped the two clips in the middle (if not, the transition will either apply on the first or the second clip)
- what kind of transition did you use, and
- was the result the you saw when playing the video from the timeline in the preview screen that what you expected
- any specific settings used when you produced the video
In this case it is always faster that you show us what you have done by making a brief screenshot, or screen recording of both the preview result and the final result?
Quote When I went to the Shutterstock website , search for Vatican Museums, I can find 131 pages & each pages contains 25 imagaes
maybe only limited images you are able to download in PD

Correct, although the number was increased recently, it is still fairly limited.
The PD trial version has its limitations. Likely including the search in Shutterstock. With the (my) full version of PD I find 12 videos when looking for Vatican Museum, and 3 photos. When looking for Vatican only there are 150 video's and 90 photo's, a number of which are not showing the Vatican but other sites in Rome.
Can you give us a bit more to work with, like:
what kind of format clips are they? (they or their sound track may be incompatible with PD), and also
what is the software you use to watch them? (maybe it is not the clip but the viewing software), and
what is the format for the output clips you have used?
how long does it take before the sound starts/returns?
and maybe you can share an example?
Yes. The trick is to include the JPG file(s) and any other media files for that matter, into the PD sample directory:
C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector19\SampleClips
And to switch on, in preferences/projects, the Automatically load sample clips……. tag.
The clips you don’t want to load each time you start PD (or start a new project), can be “moved” away to another directory. I don’t recommend deleting them, as they may be handy at some point.
In addition to the good information optodata and tomasc already have given, may I tell you of my experience with using and uploading to YouTube.
Over the last few years, I make recordings of summer concerts my son in law gives. Next to one or more camera’s, we use a separate audio device for better sounds. I use PD and the multicamera options to make the final product. (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCczD4CbDTsdssvnsQ8UP1Wg/videos)
In the beginning I have tried the PD YouTube upload function, which most of the times works. But like you, I like to have a bit more control over the timing and also the data along with the videos, so -as the gents suggest- I upload the videos I produced first not using the PD but the YouTube online upload function. During the uploading you can add your data, fill in descriptions and settings and Thumbnail etc. In that way I don’t have to play with wifi or other internet connections, and I can check the result of the production before it is uploaded to YouTube.
Because in my case the sound is more important than the pictures, I try to make sure that there are no hiccups in the recording nor in the production. In my case this is not difficult because the sound recording is usually one take, with no cuts.
I would certainly suggest start looking for errors at your site first, before looking at settings and/or the conversion/rendering that YouTube does to get your video online. As optodata suggests, try after production more than one media player to see whether the sound (and video) comes out as you want it to be and to make sure that it is your production and not the player that gives the errors. If your production is not okay, you know that you have to look at PD, e.g. see whether playing from the timeline already shows errors.
Using the Profile Analyzer as is suggested is always a good idea, because the selection of the matching output specs will force PD to do a minimum of re-rendering, so securing output that is closest to your original. Since I have a mix of cameras both with HD and UHD quality, and I mix and zoom and crop a lot, I know that the analyzer cannot help me. So, I select the best output and I am hoping the PD does a good job, and it usually does. The production settings I use are always 1920x1080 and select the higher of options I have and I have good results with both mp4 (50P and 40Mbps) and mpg (50i and 25 Mbps). The output files are larger, upload times a bit longer but it the result that counts.
Hope this helps a bit.

The benefit?
Saving users the time of cllicking 30 times to download all files.
Archiving would be great as well

AHA, I understand. Well, given that it takes time for PD to get ready presenting all its features and this all takes a lot of disk space I have not downloaded every and all the goods. As it also takes time to browse through all the features to get the one you need, I have tried to keep the libaries as slim as possible. (And when I dont find what I would need I start looking for what is available on line).

As said, put out your suggestion to CL.

Take care!
