Do you rip the 4k disc into disc folder form?
I guess you would like to use NVIDIA GPU to play the 4K content, that's why you did the cracking.
If you has the ability to rip 4k disc, just rip them to generic video file (e.g. mkv).
I think it will be played normally in powerdvd.
powerdvd doesn't claim the playback compatiblity for the Ultra HD Blu-ray ripped folder.

I can set custom cover art for my movie titles in the movie library.
It works normally in powerdvd 18.
Where do you store your movie files? Is it on a network drive?
The connection path change/refresh will reset the cover art assignment.
Move the movie files to local drive, and do the import and cover art assignment again.

The trial version has limitation that it cannot play HEVC file.
Ultra edition can play it as specification, however, if your GPU does not support the HEVC 10 bit hardware decoding, and you applied software (CPU) decoding to play a 4K, and HEVC 10 bit file, the performance will be terrible, obviously.
For reference, my Skylake iGPU laptop is apparently inferior than my KabyLake iGPU laptop when playing such file.
I can see the playback is relatively not smooth on the Skylake platform.
4K HEVC 8 bit or lower resolution does not require the hardware compatibility that much.
Cyberlink has refund guarantee if you purchase software on their offical web store.
You can check the compatibility after purcahse although the trial version cannot do it.

Let's imagine that you are sitting on your couch, and the TV is at certain distance.
If you project powerdvd on your big TV screen using the PC mode, the interface will be terrible when you wanna read every program options clear. TV mode is better in this scenario.

You can go to windows contronl panel to configure the autoplay setting for movie/audio discs.
https://www.howtogeek.com/236241/how-to-enable-disable-and-customize-autoplay-in-windows-10/
I don't recommend the Windows settings one that mentioned in the article.
Use the control panel.

|
Try disabling the "controlled folder access" option in Windows defender, and check the playback.

My lenovo ideapad laptop's media button (on keyboard) works perfectly with powerdvd.
My laptop has Play/Pause, Stop, Next, and Previous.
I don't know if your keyboard media button is "perfectly" compliant to standard or Windows media button command.
If your keyboard's media buttons support customized command, check powerdvd's hotkeys in program settings, and then customize your keyboard to do it.
VLC is a great free/open source media player that supports most of media formats. But, powerdvd is commercial software.
VLC doesn't have the compatibiltiy to play commercial licensed DRM BD or 4K BD because it applies free/opensource license.
They are under different software development models.
If you already paid for powerdvd, it must have somethings you want and VLC doesn't support it.

MP4 is just a container that can be encoded with various video/audio codec content.
Do all of your MP4 files apply same audio codec?
If yes, what audio codec your video file applied?
Per my own test, equalizer feature is for music playback, but not for video files in powerdvd.

Blue ray disk. Under nvidia drivers if I change the display rate from 60 hz to 30 hz it plays fine. 4k TV through HDMI 2.0. running GTX1080 ti.
Try disable the high performance mode in powerdvd settings -> more video settings.
if it doesn't work, contact their support.

Per powerdvd user guide, your mp3 player should be under the device and home media tab, but won't show up at powerdvd file explorer.
https://www.cyberlink.com/support/powerdvd-ultra/userguide.html
Is your mp3 player detected by windows explorer?
If it isn't detected by Windows normally, and you cannot manually copy files to your player via Windows explorer, it is expected that powerdvd cannot find the device, either.

Black screen?
Check the GPU driver first. And, are your display setup and hardware compatible with 4K 60 hz?
What type of media do you play in powerdvd?
Is it movie disc, or certain format of video?

powerdvd 18 does not have new version update in this month.
If the first time the issue happened 1 week ago, there could be something else caused the problem.
Try reset your Mibox 3 if you don't have many apps installed that need to keep custom data.

Do you upgrade your Mibox 3 to Android TV 8?
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/mi-box-3-oreo-ota-update-bugs-post-your-bug-issues-here-please.44773/
Massive issues are there, and except for offical Google apps, many apps "google cast" did not work or work instably.
Use a Chromecast stick (if you have one) directly, and check if the feature works comparing to MiBox.

Just like what you said, if your monitor is off, then the HDCP authentication will drop accordingly.
Do you have an amplifier as an intermediate to bridge your speakers and monitor?
How about connecting your PC to an amplifier via HDMI, and let the monitor connected behind the amplifier?
Then, keep your amplifier active for audio playback, and turn your monitor off.
I'm not sure if the setup can avoid the HDCP authentication drop because the amplifier is a verified HDCP device at least, and it can divide audio and video output.
You may try it if you already have an amplifier.

I just found a VP9 MKV clip, and powerdvd 18 Ultra edition does play the video even though cyberlink does not list the combination (VP9 in MKV) on the supported format table.

HDCP 2.2 is quite black or white verification, and the compatibility is highly impacted by hardware and firmware (motherboard, monitor, GPU, and Windows) authentication/handshake.
If the advisor shows failed, it is unlikely powerdvd can proceed the playback further.
Do you contact ASRock directly for this problem?
|
|
You may update your BD drive firmware or GPU drivers for DRM compatibilities.
VLC cannot play "DRM" BDs.
Pls also note that you applied a "decryption" plugin to do it simultaneously.
DVDFab is something like AnyDVD. It plays BD via cracking way.

Hi:
I was always disappointed that v16 and v17 never supported playback of HD files encoded in VP9/Opus codec in MKV container, such those from youtube.
Now, I see v18 supports VP9/Opus in WEBM formats BUT BUT BUT... can I playback a VP9/Opus MKV file I download from youtube? Can anyone test it out for me, please?
I download lots of HD/UHD files on YT and they are always encoded with VP9/Opus in an MKV container.
If you have some VP9 encoded MKV files already, how about that download the trial version directly to check the playback?

For the intel sgx detection error, cyberlink released a new version advisor today:
https://www.cyberlink.com/prog/bd-support/diagnosis.do
If your powerdvd play uhdbd normally, but the advisor keeps showing the intel sgx error, try this new one if your don't like the red light on the advisor anyway.
