I think that the quality and the compatibility of current available HDR contents are still varied per my observation.

And, the new GPU driver keeps rolling out to handle the fact: HDR playback is not stable or the color is not accurate.

The recent released Intel GPU driver has annouced that it fixes some HDR playback issues. (I forgot which version mentioned the fix.)
Try it.

BTW, if you don't have a HDR monitor, just play the non-HDR version on the UHD disk.
The artificial and downscaled SDR color playback (from the original HDR one) is overall fake, and not accurate.

If you really care about the playback quality, save your effort, and not to watch the HDR video on a SDR monitor.
The native SDR video can give you a relatively better viewing experience on a standard SDR monitor.
Quote Hello

When I try play an UHD BluRay (IT) it always says: This type of disk is not supported

Whats wrong?

Regards,
Reinhard

Because the trial version does not support UHD BluRay playback, use advisor to check your PC's compatibility first.

Just remind you that GREAT and Sooooooooooooo powerful NVIDIA, AMD GPU or AMD CPU doesn't support UHD BluRay playback.
Save your time to complain about that.

The combination of Intel GPU and USB-C to HDMI converter?
It seems powerdvd won't play 3d through this way.

To save your time and efforts, play 3d content on a PC that does not require the converter.

You can start the disc playback successfully, but the playback interrupted after it played for a while?
Update your BD drive firmware from LG, and then check the playback again.

If it does not resolve the problem, contact support.
Dolby Vision is not supported, only HDR 10.

UHD-BD ISO is not supported. (they only list BD and DVD ISO)

trial version does not supprot UHD-BD and HDR playback.

Some questions for you:

- 1. Does your Roku device play any 3D items on your 3D TV in 3D?
(Play 3D content from Roku's channel directly)
- 2. Does powerdvd play the 3d photo in 3D on your PC's 3D monitor locally?

I beliveve the 3d casting won't work if one of your answer is "NO" for the above questions.
You may install the new trial version to give it shot:

And per the DxDiag, you have 3 monitors connected simultaneously. Have you ever tried (disconnected) any of your monitor, and capture the screen again with single monitor?

The black box means there were probably some unknown windows were loading, but it failed to show you on the screen at the moment you were recording screen.
As far as I know, powerdvd doesn't work with those 3rd-party filters.
Per madVR spec, it does not claim the compatibility for powerdvd as well.
It seems the condition does not matter you install powerdvd how many times, or installation limit.

I didn't receive any similar problems in latest patched powerdvd 18 (version 2202).

Any unknown processes interfered/blocked powerdvd playback after patched?
Windows Defender is suck with many compatibility problems even for Microsoft games.
uninstall and reinstall your GPU driver, and then check it again.

If it does not help your case, contact cyberlink support.
powerdvd 17 and powerdvd 18 only support playing flv video, which is encoded with H.264 codec.
I don't think powerdvd 17 can play vp6 flv file as their spec.
vp6 is not supported by powerdvd so far.

H.264 MP4 file should be playable if no unknown or compatibility problem with your GPU.
Does powerdvd17 still play H.264 MP4 video normally on your PC "currently"?
Do you stitch the 360 video first using your 360 camera tool?
Before stitching, the 360 video/photo is not viewable in 360 view using "other" viewers and players.

There is no good way for raw 360 video stithcing without your camera manufacturer's assistance (e.g. the official camera tool that is shipped with your camera.)

Check that if your 360 video is already stitched first.

A reference for 360 media stitching:

It seems the new patch fixed the YouTube issue. fyi

Does your laptop have hybrid GPUs? (intel + NVIDIA)

Disable the nvidia gpu in windows device manager, and check bd playback again.

Perhaps there are some compatibility issues happened after any system or driver alternation these weeks.
Were you streaming videos to TV via network connection, or just using the "play to" (stream to TV) option?
It is expected that the streaming will not use both of the screens to display the video, but leave your PC screen for you to do other stuffs.

If you just want both of screens to play the same video simultaneously, how about project your windows desktop to TV under duplicate screen mode?
Use "[Windows] + P" keyboard hotkeys to switch the display mode of your laptop.

Note that the DRM blu-ray playback is not compatible with this screen copying mode.
I think that it is Not a sudden.

Windows always upates itself at background after you reboot PC, sometimes it contains driver update as well.
However, powerdvd does not update itself these weeks.

New update fixes old bugs, and creates new issues.
The free opensource player has ffdshow (open source) decoder to handle the playback. It may work around many existing compatiblity issues freely between GPU and Windows decoders. (that's one of the biggest advantage when using a open source program)

Update your AMD GPU driver, then check the playback in powerdvd again.
If poor color still occurs, contact their support to address your concern.
4K BD requires the CPU encryption for its DRM content. And now, there is only Intel SGX feature supports the compatibility.

As you said, you don't have an Intel CPU, and the Intel SGX feature is clearly only availabe on new Windows 10.
Unfortunately, your platform is not compatible to do it unless you crack the all DRMs, which is not authorized and not recommended.
Let me guess, is your 4K video encoded with H.264 10 bit color?

I personally don't like this combination (H.264 + 10 bit color depth), which is a legacy encoding way for 10 bit color video (perhaps 3~5 years ago, it was popular and widely produced by custom video tools) before HEVC format becomes popular.

I consulted cyberlink previously, powerdvd doesn't support H.264 "10 bit color" video playback specifically. The color will be broken.
Except for that, HEVC 10 bit video playback has good quality on powerdvd.
I have similar issue as well, and just forwarded this issue to support.
Do you rip the 4k disc into disc folder form?

I guess you would like to use NVIDIA GPU to play the 4K content, that's why you did the cracking.

If you has the ability to rip 4k disc, just rip them to generic video file (e.g. mkv).
I think it will be played normally in powerdvd.

powerdvd doesn't claim the playback compatiblity for the Ultra HD Blu-ray ripped folder.
