It does sound like maybe an instrumental version of Don’t Worry Be Happy. Google search of "My Smiley FaceAmotz Plessner Andy Muson" gives an artist of that name working with smartsound but not the song.

You need to look at the user manual for the software, which should be on CD-ROM you installed the program from.
According to this Kworld tutorial the time stamp does not occur: https://youtu.be/10hFTYY1KJs . It does not occur on my vhs recordings. The only way to have the time stamp is if you turn it on each time before you hit the red record button. See the attached and marked screenshot.
- Click the Text Overlay Button.
- The Add Text Overlay Window then pops up.
- Click the Add time stamp checkbox.
- Click the OK button to create the time stamp in the captured video.
- Click the Red record button to capture video with the time stamp overlay.
Not clicking any of the first 4 buttons above and you can capture video without the time stamp. Hope this help someone.

It may be far better to apply a diffusion filter for smooth skin while recording video like the pros do in Hollywood. See this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAxlTFi2bG4 . I agree with Barry. Some mirrorless, smartphone, camcorder, and name brand cameras that I have seen have a beauty face or soft skin setting to make people have smooth skin and look younger in the videos. This would save in post production time without having to buy a filter or drink an excessive amount of alcohol. See this article for details: https://www.businessinsider.com/youtuber-skin-smoothing-cameras-filter-sony-canon-used-influencers-vloggers-2019-12 .

If the project is still in your old computer then why not go ahead and produce it as is. You can then bring the produced file into your new computer for further editing.
You can recreate the title in the video by using the “Default” title. Open Title Designer. Type in all your text or Copy and Paste from a text editor like Windows Notepad that you had prepared earlier. You may have the script in your old pc so you don’t have to retype.
Try this first: Open the title in Title Designer. Preview it in Title Designer. Make any changes and click OK to exit. You may find that the title is working in your new pc after this. It is possible that you used a font that is in your old pc that does not exist in your new pc. The fix may be to select a different new font in Title Designer.
There are many Title Designer tutorials on the internet that can help. Here is one relevant to scrolling up text: https://youtu.be/s7uReNCGNzk . It may be more than what you need.

Starting earlier today for no apparent reason, PD17 now grays out the hardware acceleration box whenever I try to use a custom profile with the resolution 2048x1536. Nothing changed in the settings or anywhere on my computer, it just decided to start doing this. No other resolution does this, only 2048x1536, and it only started doing this earlier today without warning. I render all my videos in 1440p, so this has effectively killed my YouTube channel until someone can find a fix.
There is a simple one value change to Simba in the registry to fix this in this YT link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykDEy3qi04Q .

I can confirm that a mp4 video with LPCM audio is silent on the iPad with iMovie. However it should be okay on the Mac with the iMovie using the latest 10.2.5 version. See this article: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00065722 .

You have answered your own question. If you still have that old version of PD installed then you can do it in the WaveEditor standalone. You can get the AudioDirector trial version or use Audacity(freeware) to do the conversion.
|
|
The transitions on the PD mobile version are of the cross and not the overlap type so this is the normal behavior. One contributor here has a workaround for this that you can use. See this post: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/82987.page#post_box_342224 .

Thank you for the detailed screen recording. Try this: Go to the Preferences/Hardware acceleration and make sure that the two checkboxes are unchecked and click OK. Did this timeline preview properly three years ago and only now the problem shows up?? Updating the video card driver can help.
It looks like that this media source error happens between the clover 04 image and the scrolling title. If this continues after performing the above step then remove that image. If that still happens then remove the title. If the timeline otherwise previews properly then it means that you need to redo the last step of remaking either the image or the title.

I made a family video in PD16 3 years ago. I never produced it. I am trying to produce it now and none of the transitions or content works . I keep getting a message with error code 3. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Mike.
Please read this sticky: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/77190.page and supply a screenshot of the full edit screen with the error message. You can attach the screenshot on your next reply. This will allow users to view the entire error message and what may be the problem. Better yet if the screen recorder is working then record the problem and explain what works and post it.

b) turn off the "upload to Youtube" option in PD when selecting Youtube rendering. (yes, disconnecting from the internet works, but not ideal.
That is easy to do as you have already accomplished this. Simply view the file properties of the produced wmv file with PD19, Windows properties/Detail, and Mediainfo(freeware). You will then know the next time which settings of resolution and bitrate of the .wmv file to choose to produce so you no longer need to disconnect from the internet to find out again.

Thanks. But any time I've done this and later upload to Youtube, the audio comes out clipped. I mean, every 20 seconds or so, some "skip" is heard in the audio. I don't get it when I select Youtube, then stop the upload after PowerDirector finishes producing the video.
?
I haven’t uploaded directly to YT except for testing. It will be a .wmv file. You need to know where your export folder is. See this tutorial on it: https://youtu.be/yYIKHxMvvq8 for good tips. Start your produce online to YT. Kill or disable the wi-fi or ethernet internet connection before it completes. That way the file production can be completed and you can upload that wmv file later at your convenience.

The iZotope website did not list AudioDirector as one of the supported hosts. The Live Chat and support is free to use.

You may have installed the full PD15 package which gave you the option to install the Apple QT 7 which supplied that codec. Check to see if you can now suddenly be able to work with mov files with the alpha channel.

Out of curiosity, I clicked on that link supplied above by optodata. Click on the Standard $14+ I want this! Button and get the screen where you must enter a number 14 or greater to go to the Pay now screen to proceed further. There are ways around this but I don’t feel that it is right to get it for free.

They sell both perpetual and subscription versions. A month to month subscription cost more than a yearly subscription. Just below the Blue BUY NOW button is the See all plans & Pricing link:

Can't share it, deleted when I saw it wasn't playing right. Played it on my desktop and my mobile. Stuttered in the exact same place each time.
Have you tried uploading this project online directly from the PD19 Produce tab instead of creating an mp4 first… It may succeed as a different codec is used. Let us know.

RMZahn - You probably need to register with NB and subscribe to their mail even if you are a PD18 registered user. There is no other way for NewBlue to contact you if you did not register your NB plugins with them too. I have found that some video editor users have posted the code in a newblue cartoonr plus giveaway search on the internet. That may be okay with some people. Don’t need to ask here. This plugin allows normal video to be changed to cartoon video.
Jeff - Please see the attached produced video on the 7 blend mode settings in the new stylize version of CartoonR Plus. It does seem to work well. This is a produced documented split side by side video of the blend settings used. Let me know if you have any other concerns on it.

I do recall that silent 8mm film were recorded at 17 fps and sound 8mm film were recorded at 24 fps. The supplied mediainfo indicates that the film may have been digitized incorrectly and it will be out of audio sync when using a normal media player.

Are you implying it's got more features than the NewBlue CartoonR Plus that's already part of some PD19 CL offerings?
Jeff
PD19/365 only comes with the NB Essentials 1 in the comparison: https://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-video-editing-software/comparison_en_US.html.
The Director Suite 365 is missing the NB Paint Effects supplied with the previous versions which included the NB Cartooner Plus. I believe this is what you mean. Don’t see it as a PD19 offering at all.
The new cartoonR Plus is supplied as a new group in NB Stylizers and not in the old NB Paint Effects group. There are two useful additions for adjustments called the Blend mode and Frame Rate. See the attached screenshot. Notice that the clip color changed with that blend setting. Hope this helps others who may want to obtain it.

Reference thread: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/85481.page .
There have been the newer NewBlue packs that have been reported to be working with PowerDirector in this and in FB PD Users forums even if it is not listed as compatible.
NewBlue has been giving away the CartoonR Plus plugin for free until July 31, 2021. Check your mailbox if you are a registered user or subscriber to their mail. Here is the link: https://newbluefx.com/products/stylizers/cartoonr-plus/?utm_source=marketo&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=EMAIL-freeplugin-cartoonr-r1-71321&mkt_tok=MDg2LUpQSS0yNTEAAAF-P9KfGbu_iBZ8kzNOP9171RJU3qBn6laB8_zUyEVrC_7AU5L509jF9GsWTJvomsZnx7qOLRMyvA8jPr4eBYSWZ_qi9MVHlXyIaHKTcw . You need the code to reduce the price to $0.00 and get the download link. This plugin works in Cyberlink PowerDirector as a fx and also works in the other editors listed as compatible too.
Check out this link. Edited and produced in PowerDirector using the NewBlue Cartooner Plus: https://youtu.be/u923hCB2IeU .
