Is the time stamp permanently recorded on the VHS tape itself, or is it from a setting on the VCR or in the Kworld software that can be turned off? PD doesn't automatically add a time stamp.

If it's permantly part of the recorded video, you will have to mask that area in PD.

Thanks for your help. Kworld is adding the time stamp . There is no Time stamp on the VHS when I play the tape through the TV it only appears once the Kworld or the connected PD softwear captures the images. Dont know how to get rid of it.

You need to look at the user manual for the software, which should be on CD-ROM you installed the program from.

According to this Kworld tutorial the time stamp does not occur: https://youtu.be/10hFTYY1KJs . It does not occur on my vhs recordings. The only way to have the time stamp is if you turn it on each time before you hit the red record button. See the attached and marked screenshot.

  1. Click the Text Overlay Button.

  2. The Add Text Overlay Window then pops up.

  3. Click the Add time stamp checkbox.

  4. Click the OK button to create the time stamp in the captured video.

  5. Click the Red record button to capture video with the time stamp overlay.

Not clicking any of the first 4 buttons above and you can capture video without the time stamp. Hope this help someone.
