Hi,

Once downloaded and installed, you just click on a frame or scene to apply it over your webcam video. Frame will put a border around your video, and scene will put your video within a scene, like a poster board or a movie scene.

You can actually see a demonstation in this tutorial:

https://www.cyberlink.com/learning/youcam/1520/apply-effects-for-webcam-recording---im-chatting

If your question is that you are not sure how to install the downloaded scenes/frames, see this FAQ:

Hi,

I have never experienced this issue using YouCam, and most users don't experience this issue, so it could be something with your webcam or computer (GPU, audi driver).

Can you please do as requested and attach your DXDiag.txt file so we can have a better understanding of your environment?

Hi,

1. Yes. Just create a playlist in PowerDVD and drag all the MP4 files from the media library to the playlist.

2. You can import playlists in the M3U format, though I am not sure if they MP4 files need to be in the media library first or not. Try it out:

First question - is this how things are designed to be, or am I missing something - are the Advanced Enhancment features of TrueTheater functionality designed to be available only in PC mode and not TV mode?

And second, is there a logic to this, is there a reason why Advanced Enhancement features are not enabled in TV mode?

Hi,

  1. That is how it is designed.

2. I am guessing it is because TV mode is designed for remote control use, so the controls are going to be simpler. Same for all the settings in PowerDVD. All the advanced settings are in PC Mode.

Quote I have not purchased YouCam9 yet, because the software I downloaded to try out is not like the software on the tutorials. I would like to purchase sooner rather than later to take advantage of the sale that's going on right now, but so far I have not been able to try it out, and I cannot get help from support. This software has many features that I would like to have to make videos for YouTube. For example, I want to blur the background but there is no icon to do it. I want to have the person speaking to be alone on the screen and move back and forth between the host and guest. I would like also to be able to show power point slides. But how do I do it? Please help!

Hi,

Maybe share the link to the tutorial you are referring to. As the other poster mentioned, I don't think there is a Blur background feature in YouCam 9 Deluxe, but I could be mistaken.

Dave
Thanks for the screenshots. Are you using PowerDVD Live version, i.e. the subscription?

Dave
Quote when reinstall my PowerDVD14 , show " the times of reintall is too more to activate the software"
my powerdvd14 had bought legally in 2015

There is a limit to the number of times you can install and activate each version. But you can contact the cyberlink customer support team for assistance:

Dave
The answer is right in the help file, and is not something that can be fixed:

"Note: Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, movie folders, and ISO files cannot be casted to a streaming device."

If you are meaning the background image for a disc menu, you can't edit disc menus in Power2Go. You need PowerDirector to do that. The only background image that can be updated in Power2Go is for photo gallery discs I believe.

If you shared the post you are referring to, that would also be helpful.

Dave
What type of disc are you trying to burn? Knowing would go a long way to helping us help you.

Dave
Hi,

A screenshot of the error message (including the program) would help a lot for sure. Never heard of that message before. Are you using PowerDVD Live? Trying to access the Devices and Home Network tab?

I believe the SONY does play wma. I have one that was created by someone else that I believe is wma. I there a way to tell whether that disc is wma?

Thanks. SweetTasha.

Hi,
You didn't mention which specific player you have, but according to this link WMV and WMA files are not supported on Sony Blu-ray players:

https://www.sony.com.sg/electronics/support/articles/S500008340

Try the MP3 format.

Dave
Hi Gazza,

Coincidentally, I just submitted a ticket today for a version of PowerDVD i misplaced, and had no problems using the same link I provided above.

As QC suggested, can you share some screenshots or screen capture of your issue?

Dave
Ballpin,

That's great that you got it working. This will be a good post for users that have similar setups.

Why Cyberlink mentions Nvidia and AMD cards in their minium requirements (in UHD 4k True Theateric section) is a question mark for me when it is very clear that you don't need that or it is even compatible with it. I'm still waiting on a answer on this from the support.

The only problem i have now is that monitor is to wide for the movies and i can't really get the aspect ratio in order. However i think i can resolve in the monitor settings.

You're mixing some things up here. The "UHD 4k TrueTheater section" is talking about video file playback with TrueTheater enhancments enable. In the spec, there is clearly a section for "Ultra HD Blu-ray", which only computers with certain Intel GPUs can play. Video file playback is about performance. Ultra HD Blu-ray is about performance and most importantly, security, hence the need to install SGX. Don't confuse the two.

For your monitor aspect ratio issue. Have you tried the "Crop to fit" button?

Dave
Not being able to install CyberLink software is pretty rare, so must be some kind of issues with your Windows install that would cause this. Follow the requested steps and generate your DXDiag.txt file and attach it here.

Also send it to CyberLink Technical support, because they will give you the best help:

Dave

P.S. FYI, your computer does not meet the requirements for UHD BD playback if you don't have an Intel GPU, if you were wondering: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/81087.page#333491
Quote It seems that it is only recording my microphone and not my speakers. How do I fix this?

That is correct. YouCam only records the mic input from what I know.

You can try using the U Messenger app to do all this, i.e. have a chat/meeting and then record the audio on both sides.

https://u.cyberlink.com/download

It's free.

Dave
Quote My system consists of the following:

ASUS (GeForce) RTX 2080, driver 441.66

It's pretty straight forward...your GPU does not fit the requirements for UHD BD playback:

"Intel 7th generation (Kaby Lake) Core i processors integrated with Intel HD Graphics 630, Intel Iris™ Graphics 640" required. NVIDIA and AMD do not make cards that support UHD BD playback.

Dave
I don't think so. Closest is in General preference that auto plays the next video in the folder.

Dave
What version of PowerDVD 19 are you running? My guess would be that you have not updated to 19.12.

https://www.cyberlink.com/support/powerdvd-ultra/patches_en_US.html

Dave
The way to do this is not have all your video files and subtitles in the same folder. I have all my movie files in their own folders with their subtitles. TV shows seasons are in their own folder, with each episode having it's own SRT file. Sounds like you need to better organize the files on your computer.

PowerDVD used to only read the file if it was named exactly the same at the video file, but I found that to be too strict. I like the way it is done now. So you either have to reorganize your files, or turn subtitles on or off when you don't need.

Dave
Quote I can't play Blu-ray of 2019 due to aacs license issue.
Do I have to buy the new 2019 version?
How many years is the aacs license supported?

The retail version of PowerDVD 12 Ultra still plays the latest Blu-rays as tomasc mentioned and I outlined here.

Since you have an OEM version, it may be different. It depends how long the OEM manufacturer wanted to provide AACS support for. So you should contact the OEM manufacturer's customer service and ask them if their support is still active.
