Downloaded Software. Will Recognize regular discs but not AVHDC or Blu-Ray Discs. What is the problem?

Where and when did you buy PowerDVD 16; the latest version is PowerDVD 17.

If you did not buy the Ultra or Live version, the blu ray feature would not be available. Your computer should play the AVCHD disc if your drive is blu ray enabled.

Run the Advisor (here) to check if your hardware will handle those types of discs.

If you have the correct version and the advisor says that you have the your rig will play the discs and it doesn't. Post back with your computer's Windows dxdiag.exe text file (text file; not the line by line result). There is no personal information except for what you call your computer. Also include any additional information that might help us diagnose the problem.

Contact Cyberlink Sales (where you may have bought the software) to return it if it is within 30 days of purchase. If you bought it elsewhere, you must contact them for return or exchange.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the response. I downloaded the Advisor and my Disc Drive is not Blu-Ray Compatible causing the problem. I will look into the Costs of switching this out.
