You can only remove ones that you've downloaded from directzone. Is that what you are trying to do? The default ones cannot be deleted I believe.

Dave
That's not the full UHD BD spec, it's just a white paper. The section on UHD BDs is only half a page, and there is nothing about digital rights management in the entire white paper. I doubt they'd make the full technical spec available (it contains technical info), but you can try to email them and ask them for it.

Dave
Quote Hello all,

IAnyway, I was about to throw the towel until I read somewhere that Cyberlink dropped SGX support a while ago and now you can play a UHD disc on any PC that has HDMI 2.0a or DP 1.4 and HDCP 2.2 and that include Intel PCs running NVIDIA cards or AMD.

Where did you read that? SGX appears to still be required if you look at the latest system requirements.

New Intel chips not supporting SGX is intriguing though. Obviously something will have to change.

Dave

If you purchase the box version, there is a link provided in the quick start manual where you can download the software and enter your key to get it on a PC with no disc drive.

Dave
This feature was removed a long time ago. In version 15 maybe? Maybe send them a request to add it back?

Dave
It's available for less than $60 on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Cyberlink-PowerDVD-20-Ultra-Powerful/dp/B0886GYPXQ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=powerdvd+20&qid=1619396745&sr=8-1

Dave
Quote There doesn't seem to be a comparison anywhere and the features sound the same on the surface. What are the advantages of upgrading to PowerDVD 21 for someone who currently owns PowerDVD 20?

Has anything changed (or are there any planned changes) with UHD BluRay playback under Windows 10? New Intel chips and all AMD chips don't support SGX. That only leaves a small set of devices that can play UHD disks legitimately. Is that still the case with PowerDVD 21?

I got the update because I'm a 365 subscriber. So far it looks like most of the new features are in the sharing features, which are signifcantly improved. I like it and am using it all the time for the music and videosI have on my computer.

If you look at the system requirements for the new version, it hasn't changed for UHD playback. As the other user said, it isn't Powerdvd deciding this, it is the Blu-ray Association. So we'll have to wait and see what they (BDA) decide on the DRM for these discs if Intel is abandoning SGX.

Dave
Chris,

You should just follow what the error messages are telling you in the images you uploaded, which is to contact Cyberlink customer support. You can do that here: https://membership.cyberlink.com/support/customer-services.do

This is a user led forum, so not where you'll get the solution.

Dave
HD DVD? Which version of PowerDVD are you using? I couldn't find a 2911 patch in the update downloads list.

Dave
Yeah, this won't work if converted to MP4 file. You need to create a disc image file, and then mount the disc image in a video player like Powerdvd and then play it back.

Dave
I don't think Power Media Player has the repeat one function that Powerdvd has. Can you just create a new playlist that contains the one song?

Dave
I've never heard or seen this before, so have no idea what's going on with your computer. Try to completely uninstall Powerdvd and then reinstall it. Then re-import the files into the media library.

If that doesn't work ask Cyberlink CS if they've heard of it.

Dave
Can you provide more information? Are you viewing the files under 'My Computer' in Powerdvd? I can see the individual video files in my folders, you just sometimes need to browse through all the folders to find them. In the media library I can only see video files in list view.

Dave
I'd try uninstalling PowerDVD, then run the Windows repair feature. After that is done, install all the latest drivers for your graphics card and then reinstall PowerDVD. If it still doesn't work, then contact CL customer service.

Dave
Unfortunately no, it is no longer supported since version 20.

Dave
Seems like most users think this means there is an issue with your Windows install, but we can't be sure because you didn't supply the requested information.

Check this thread: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/62722.page

Dave
From what I remember (reading the forums over the years), on a PC the differemce for NTSC or PAL is only in frame rate/screen refresh rate, and PowerDVD only supports auto changing screen refresh rate when play movie discs, but not when playing video files.

Dave
I've never faced this issue and just checked and it is working. So a little strange that it happens on your PC. Best bet is to contact Cyberlink's customer service:

Dave
Quote I bought both versions and have their product keys. I need version 16 to play 3D Blu-ray discs.

Thanks,
Phil

If they are both full Ultra versions, it shouldn't be a problem. If version 20 is an upgrade from 16, then I don't think so. Come to think of it, you cannot upgrade from 16 I don't think...so you should be good. Are you getting some sort of message during install that prompted the question?

Dave
Quote Hello,

I am trying the free version but do not see the option for MS Teams

Not sure exactly what that means, but all the supported programs are shown in your screenshot.
