I've been reluctant to 'upgrade' or take the free dld of WIN10. This is just my own personal apprehension about this sort of 'stuff'.

I had heard that WIN10 was operating - at least initially - with WIN Updates happening automatically - with no control by the user/owner - to control and go look for or dl WIN Updates. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think ....THINK that THAT has changed so users of WIN10 can turn off the auto Update feature.

Tony, the issue here sounds similar to the Update feature. Similar... not exactly the same I realize - you are discussing dealing with driver updates.

I've kind of always hated 'black box' sorts of products handed to me dealing with computer operations. Don't take that wrong, I'm sure it's good for many operations - it's just that I like to have control of things when dealing with a computer's function/operation.

Thus, I'll probably wait to convert to WIN10 and want to make sure I know how to turn off auto updates and how to control driver updating when I do 'upgrade'.

I don't think I will be upgrading soon but when I do... hope I remember some of these lessons.

CS
Might be a good idea to start a new thread Elizabeth. I know this one is similarly describing your issue, but... and if you do create a new thread... try to provide more details - such as:
(A through E)

CS
I have the XP70 also so I know what you are going through. I do NOT know how you got them to work but... whatever.

I've taken to converting the .MOV files to .AVI files. Then they import fine.

All in all, if it's working for you now... all is good eh?

p.s. if this is resolved... then go back into the subject line by editing it and add 'Resolved' please.
Have you 'googled' Motion Tracker Power Director Tutorials?

via YouTube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHJeWYE4fK4

And another that specifically states PD14 in it's title:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOc8SroeekI

And another for PD14 with Maliek hosting it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJAbV5auIAI

These PD14 tutorials I have not viewed/used - but found them easily with that search.

Do these help and/or solve your issue?

CS
And your 'restore' (as in performing a system restore in WIN) idea is a pretty good one I think too tomasc.

Don't know what OS you're using Ian or if you can review what updates took place since this has been happening. And I don't know if this matters if, when you try to restore to a date when everything was working fine, - that THIS takes care of the issue.

CS
I can't see how that would hurt Ian - but I've seen more timely responses out of Tony and tomasc than 'support' at times. Not trying to 'put down' support but, these guys in here are usually a bit faster to respond.

Still, having said this, why not - communicate this to 'support' and see what they have to say. At least maybe they will document this and potentially work on it.

CS

I agree totally tomasc... wasn't trying to show any disagreement guys.

CS
Different 'joined' dates.... hmmmm?!?!?
If you can, take a screen shot of your editing window and attach it to your response. Then we can see what might be going on.

CS
Have you done a search for menu tutorials ... either PDToots or YouTube tutorials - Menu Designer or ... anything like that?

I know there's a bunch out there.

CS
Probably should just take this to the CyberLink guys but I thought I'd ask here first.

Time will tell I'm sure and perhaps PD15 will be introduced soon if I understand how often PD gets released.

CS

(ps - sorry had to share this too... the confirmation code to list this thread was F26u.....ahhhhh... lol - like I said.. apologies)
I think even some suggest 16G RAM so.... if you can afford it....

CS
I'm not 100% certain but a dxdiag might tell those in here much more about your set up and thus assist them in determining a response to your inquiry.

Go to this link:

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page

read down to the dxdiag part - part B I think - and try to supply that - then you should see some responses.

CS
Not sure I actually supplied a 'link' tomasc (but you're welcome if I did).

Was trying to paste a link but I changed the color of the text and it doesn't look like a link to me now. When I 'make it a 'link' in the edit window (and delete the change of color) THEN it seems to become a link though.

Ah... weird.

CS
I've got to take off but I'm sure if others see your info - they may be able to chime in. Like I stated, I am not the most helpful at times but there are those in here that are really good at this stuff.

Please just be a little more patient though, hang in there and take a breath.

Good luck

CS
Not sure I can assist much but... I think those that can help you might need much more information.

Try this link....

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page

..... and provide more information if possible please.

CS
I think tomasc is referring to this sticky' - link..

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page

.... perhaps tomasc?

CS
azmc - screen shot = screen capture - Part E in the following thread.

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page

CS
He reminds me of the old Saturday Night Live skit of Wayne's World - tomasc..... "I'm NOT WORTHY".... lol... sighs.. nice summation of iris and shutters Tony!

CS
Might be able to also create this sort of transition with initially creating a 'circular grey-scale' ... if that makes sense? Draw several circles (like in GIMP or some other drawing editor) and color each section 'more darkly'..... center circle to be black and the outer most one white. Then use a gaussian blur to blur all the variations of grey. Result is a smooth appearing white to black image - white at edges - black in center.

I was playing with this a while ago - forget if the transition goes from white to black or vice versa. But - you get the idea - and I think you can reverse the motion if needed.

But all that everyone else has mentioned - I'm sure that works - choose the method that is easiest for you to execute.

CS
Hey angale123 maybe attaching a dxdiag (http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page - PART B) file in your next response might be a good idea. That'll help help those that can help with such.

The Screen Capture - PART E of that same link.
