If this is not the case, for us more information, if possible one "print screen" showing your work in PD.
If you opened the project with the error, if not saved the project, close PD without saving design.
Open project and can again look for the files.
If saved project with the error, Carl312 showed the alternative of autosave project, it still has previous PC can copialo to your new PC.
Need to configure the explorer to show hidden files.
The path you see in PD, Edit / Preferences / Project / Browse.
Copy the text of this box and use it in search of the Explorer.
You are creating MPEG2 files (HQ) first?

This already shows the failure of the audio?

Or the problem appears after creating the DVD?

I use another sofware to create DVD-video, here PD13 have low image quality must use quality Smart Fit.

With audio seems fine with stereo audio or 5.1.

Report:
today I made DVD project, I used 6 audio songs in M4A format, such as experience and 1 MP3 to complete.
I saved in MPEG2 (DVD) file.
The M4A audio was perfect.
It is extra work to convert the audio to M4A, but worth it if it works well with PD13.
The size of the M4A file is the same for a little better quality in my opinion.
---
The MP3 has failed when it passes a transition or effect "sometimes", and other little things, so I saved the first audio using WaveEditor or AudioDirector, which solved the problem for me.
---
When I have 2 or more songs together in the timeline I saved in a single file first, use Produce Range.
in this case dispense WE or AE.
---
Note:
The PD. failed in MP3 audio, only in projects that use SVRT.
Projects that leads to rendering the video without problems for audio, MP3.
The update is complete if you ignore the message, or stop the installation with error?
Quote: thanks for input
Update: I figured it out. I was originally previewing video in the small frame to the right directly from the workspace in the media room. It has the option below video window to take a snapshot (which obviously was not working) BUT, once I dragged the video from the media area into the timeline, viewed video (in the same window to the right), it allowed me to use the snapshot feature and saved the image correctly. So, all of the above garbage just means....work in the timeline, not from media rooms "storage area".
NOW that I AM SURE is a real NEWBIE issue!!!!

Here I can take photo the video added to the library.
For photo need to add the timeline.
My opinion PD13, is better than PD11 (has more features), had problems in the beginning, now this well.
Download trial version and check first to decide.
Quote: Why does power tools not give the option of cropping a graphic such as a photo on the timeline?

Select the photo in the timeline, click the Modify button opens Pip Designer or Crop Image button.
Select and apply the Swing transition, click the Modify button and choose the direction, Up, Dow, Left or Right
I checked, here is normal, if it were me beyond reinstall PD13, also the graphics card.
The text track is off, check the box to activate again.

This between the letter T and the lock
Click on the line between two track, the left column near the lock, a double arrow appears, drag down increases the height of the track.

Quote: Yes that's what I mean and I'm aware that I can't put links in my video using powerdirector. How do I go about doing this overlay?

Add each video in one track.
Click to select the lowest range of video.
see preview is displayed in white balls on each side of the image.
Click, hold and drag inward to reduce the image size.
Click inside the image, hold and drag the image to the desired position.
Repeat this process for the track above ....
DVD video created in PD, this bad, is not new but as other users have complained here in the forum, I decided to post the video I show how it behaves the image after Interlaced MPEG2 conversion which is standard for DVD created in PD.
Attention to the vibration of lines, vertical / horizontal wall image.

You did not answer my first question.

The problem is when you select this clip I showed the picture or is for any clip?

How to undo any action, use the Undo button.
Quote: Trying to figure out what it's for and if I can make use of it.

B........

PD will identify and mark the strong beats of a song.
So we can synchronize images with the rhythm of the music.
May have other applications, this is the basics.
I auditioned shown here http://youtu.be/wgNXjc-Xcuk
Quote: I accidentally deleted my project in the "create disk" tab, and now my entire project is gone. Is there any way to reverse this?

If the project was saved and you can not remember where this.

Open PD menu, File / Recent File.

Shown is the list of the last saved projects, the first line is the last saved project.

If not saved the project.

Will have to resort to the Autosave project, which is done every 10 minutes automatically.

To find him, you must configure Windows to show hidden folders.

I do not have the link to the default folder because I moved here on my PC.

See in Menu / Edit / Preferences ... / Projects / Browse.

Inside the box shows the location of the folder, autosave projects.

Search by date and time the last rescue, Feeling Lucky you will know complete project or lack little.

If not what you want, tell us more information.

Quote: Hello All!

I'm working on a video that will combine multiple clips from a playthough of a video game. This involves mostly cropping/resizing.

My issue is, that the video will be in 1080, while the gameplay is recorded in 720. When I preview the clip, it looks nice. Then I insert it - it becomes a bit blurry due to rescaling to 1080. After that I crop it and resize it - then it becomes extremely blurry...

I attached a comparison between how it looks on a produced video and snapshot of the clip preview more less the same size.

Is there a way to force the program not to resize the image when inserting or cropping? And using the base resolution of the clip after insert?

I'm using PowerDirector Ultra 13.0.2408.0.

If I understand right, you can use masks to leave only show the portion of the image you want and position on the screen.

The image resolution of each clip will take the proportion that it will take up on the screen, this idepende its original resolution.

----
To add masks.
select the clip, Modify button. tab, Mascara, choose a mask if you need to uncheck the box Keep aspect ratio.
My problem is that no matter what I do, I cannot get rid of the audio fade in

Carl312 show the way but common.

Add Fade-in audio, marked in the image.

Don't understand what you are saying. What error?

The error I mentioned, is the PD program, is marked in the image.

PD13 has the option to save DVD_Video Folder (VIDEO_TS) or save to ISO image file, in this case must use another sofware to burn DVD disc.
Note: That the DVD to fit on the disk, bristle 1 hour for best quality "HQ".
If the original video is progressive, PD will convert to Interlaced to create DVD-Video, automatically.
Also if the video does not fit on the disc and use the Smart Fit option
cannot toggle audio fade-in button in audio mixing room

The image shows the track 1, the volume is active in the control room, also fade In this active, fade Out must activate when going to the end of the clip.
I see an error PD in your project's some clip showing audio and video separate horizontal.
It is with them that you have the error ?
Right Clik on one video clip.

Select, Set Clip Attributes / Set Aspect Ratio.

See image.

At the end of your project, save and reopen.

Then save to video file.

This procedure has corrected errors for me.

Maybe for you too.

Only my susgestão no guarantee it will work for you.
