PD will identify and mark the strong beats of a song.
So we can synchronize images with the rhythm of the music.
May have other applications, this is the basics.

Betty, did you look at the help files? Are you adding several music files to your video productions?

From the help menu:

Music Beat Detection
Use the Music Beat Detection* feature in CyberLink PowerDirector to analyze a music clip in your video production, and then add beat markers to the music beat track to help you sync the audio in your production. You can also manually add music beat markers.

You can then use these music beat markers for more precise arrangement and syncing of media with the added music.


I have an audio program that makes mixes and it is great for making a mix where the music blends from one to the other without being jarring. I don;t think I have ever used it with video tracks.
