I can no longer access the forum for PD12. Has it been eliminated/combined or have I just lost the URL????
Weird! Tried a couple other stills and the modify/fade out worked. Don't know why some don't.

Also, the "fade" transition worked, just as you said borgus1, if place directly at the end.

Thank you both. Now I do have options if one way doesn't work.
Is there one that fades to black???
Right. It does not fade to black.

But I worked around it. Found line at top on clip in timeline, brought it down to zero. Did it for me.

Figured there was a workaround. Just had to figure it out.

Thanks............
Thanks Barry, but that is what I do for a video. It does not give me that option for a still photograph.

What am I missing????
That is what a do for a video clip. It does NOT give me that option for a still photograph.

What am I missing????
I am ending a clip with a still picture. And cannot find where to set it to fade out into black.

Any suggestions???
Trying to figure out what it's for and if I can make use of it.

Thank you. The solution you offered seems to work. BUT I have the latest update.

Should have included the fact that I use PD12.

I cannot find anything newer than 3403.
Putting finishing touches on a video to be aired Monday. Want to fade in and out some clips, add transitions. Suddenly some of the clips no longer have such options as modify, trim, etc., available, and others do.

Have no idea what happened.

Any suggestions?????
Thank you. The additional information on the tutorial is so helpful.

When I pack a project in a particular folder, it is my understanding that all audio and all video files (jpg, whatever used) will be saved in that folder with the pds file.

So I can delete those files from other folders with no risk to the final product.

Just want to be positive on this before I start deleting duplicates all over my drive.

Thank you. This one never popped up when searching.

and a Happy New Year. You have helped me so much over the past six months. Really appreciate.

Is there a tutorial for Content Aware Editing? Not too sure of myself when using, need some direction.

Is it worth upgrading to PD 13 Ultra just for the stabilizer? Is it that much better?
Had to use Color Director/Color Effects, 70s Flick, to get the right exposure and color in a video clip. But the clip ran erratically.....jerked, stopped, etc., although the audio ran OK. So I isolated and Produced that clip, which eliminated the problem, and inserted that new clip in the timeline.

Had nothing else running on the computer. Have not had this problem with any other editing since new computer.

Wondering if I always have to use this workaround in this particular effect? Anyone else experience this? Tried it several times and had same problem each time.

Betty..........

Bless you, Borgus!!!

That was it! and I was missing it all along.
Yes, there is enough..
I notice that on the Transition/Fade that works properly, in the audio part of the clip under the Fade is a blue section that is entitled Gain. How is it that those that work right have that blue gain insert, and those that are not what I want, do not have that blue insert.

(I make a monthly video presentation made up of clips from various activities and events.

Between different topics, I use Modify/Fade In, Modify/Fade out. Works perfectly.

And between clips of the same topic, I want one clip to fade INTO the next clip. I use Transitions/Fade. Sometimes this works so the previous clip fades INTO the following clip as I want. But there are times when it fades to black and then to the next clip. )

Cannot figure out what is happening. Need help big time as this one has to be burned in the next couple days.

Betty..........
My converter will not work with Win 8.1 so am looking for another one. What do you suggest?

Not expensive as will only be using it for short while.

Too bad I did not convert all my camcorder tapes earlier.
