Any suggestions???

Click on the image in the timeline.
Click MODIFY.
Scroll down the menu to FADES
Click FADE and Click ENABLE FADE OUT.
At the same time, to the right, you'll see the key-frame window.
The diamonds are your key-frames, there will be one near, but not at, the right-end of your clip.
Sliding that diamond will shorten, or lengthen the time of the fade.
There are other methods to accomplish the same thing, including using the FADE transition.

It is the exact same method.
Remember to click on the image so it is highlighted, then the MODIFY button appears.
Or are you saying it does not fade to black?

Right. It does not fade to black.

But I worked around it. Found line at top on clip in timeline, brought it down to zero. Did it for me.

Figured there was a workaround. Just had to figure it out.

Thanks............

You might also drop a FADE transition onto the end of the clip.

The simple "fade" transition does it here, if dropped at the END of a clip. Total black.

Weird! Tried a couple other stills and the modify/fade out worked. Don't know why some don't.

Also, the "fade" transition worked, just as you said borgus1, if place directly at the end.

Thank you both. Now I do have options if one way doesn't work.
