Yes, VLC will play it.
Then when I import it into PD, it plays only a small portion. Not sure if it's not downloading all of it, or just playing a part.
Continuing playing, experimenting. And looking for additional suggestions.

Tried with laptop. No better. Get the following message:
Selected file contains no Richvideo informatin to display scene information. Do you want to generate it now?
So how to generate. or do I want to? What to do!!!!

Trying to import vob files from a DVD I made previously with a different program. But PoweerDirector14 only recognizes parts of each. What to do????
Something once popped up refering to richvideos,but have not seen that since.
Any suggestions? Want to re-edit and update the dvd.

I am having same problem. When VOB (even when extension changed to mpg) and imported into PD14, only a minute from about 15 minutes is imported.
Something about richvideos pops up. Have no idea what that is or what to do with it.

Carl,
I bought this version as a complete program. Found a copy on new computer but installed the one I bought over it . Apparently I goofed somehow.
Should I delete the program and all references to it and then reinstall?
Hope that takes care of it.............
As I bought it as a complete program, am I correct in assuming it should have all the features? (I am sounding like a real newbie now)

Not doing as much editing as before...............this ;may be only project and hate to invest more when this does most of what I need.

Nope, that option is not available. Not even showing or greyed out. Weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find no option for changing a clip to slow motion in PD 12 v. 12.0.5.4601
Is there a way to do so?????

Right! Not only add music but can narrate so young members of family will know these are their grandparents, great grandparents, etc. Some of these clips are from eighty-five years ago.

How great to have my question answered by Carl, who answered so many I previously asked. Have not been using the program lately, so almost having to start over.
I had been doing my own videoing and editing. NOw I have had OLD 16 mm film digitized and am editing it. Will probably have more questions and will be looking to Carl for answers.

Upgraded my computer, which always ran PD 12 very well, to win10 and now it takes forever and a day to do ANYTHING. Any suggestions????

I placed Fade transitions between scenes/clips, but when played back, it fades into the second clip, then the first scene is shown quickly before going into the second one as it should
hard to explain. Any one had this happen? Any solution?

Yes, they are unlinked as I remove the audio and place my own audio there. Been doing this all along. And I'm up=to=date on the version....3403.
There is a gap because I don't want any audio there.
I want to know why when I select one video clip, an audio clip later in the timeline is also selected. So I cannot remove or move one without the other. Very strange. And would hope there is an answer.
Go to 9-12 seconds to see what I mean.

Using PD12. I normally make a separate project of each topic before combining all to make final video.
But this time I am having a strange problem. After inserting another project into my main one, sometimes a video clip and an audio clip that are not related want to move together. I cannot eliminate one without the other...........or move one without the other moving.
Please, any solutions??? Tried to attach a video showing this, but it will not attach.
