I'm not 100% sure what you mean, could you provide a link to the video so the editors can get a better understanding of what you mean.
But from the sound of it what you need to do is to produce a video of just the tittle or take a snapshot of it. You can then use this snapshot or video as a PIP image, meaning you can add your own motion path to it.

Resizing multiple items at once would be a nice addition to a future PD.

rbowser,
That's good thinking, i could just change the background images. But I'm still curious if any users know how this is accomplished.

It DOES work with PD9 and the current patch (2930) but i haven't found a way to have it start with PD. I have to click on it to have it run each time. But it does do a good job at saving some time.
|
|
Then you could use patch 2930's ability to delete and leave gap to get rid of it with out any mess ups to your project.
Or you could add a new track for the Color Board then just get rid of it.

After seeing several DVD menus on DZ like this, i just have to ask. How can you make a little "window" on the main tittle page that shows your video?
The link below has an example of what i mean.

Thanks!

I also think having animated mask paths and shapes would be vary helpfull and have alot of possibilities.

Two ways.
1. You can click the "Page Down" button instead of clicking
or
2. use this program called PDSPEED which automatically play in movie when you click the space bar.

I also like Dafydd's idea of a basic and advanced interface.
Genius!
I would like to see PLUG INS and Color correction CURVES
i also agree with the above mentioned items. It would be nice to see an in editor camera and the Z direction....
|
|
I agree with Nina and Tony, it would be a lot of work for such a long video. But i think the YA credits used a program that had 3d depth of field and an in editor camera with animated motion.

|
With the above mentioned picture option, you can get more possibilities, like adding effects or other PD tools.
|
|
I'm not entirely sure what you mean. But you can just copy and paste the text from the text file into PD's text editor.

I'm just producing it as a file onto my computer. No smartsound, however I did use an mp3 file
When producing a file, you have several file types to chose from, which one did you select?
PD does have some problems with mp3's you could try converting it to a wav. or another format.

..when I scrub the timeline forwards or backwards PD9 freezes for at least 8 seconds...
What do you mean with "scrub" the time line? zooming, scrolling ? Please be more specific.
I think he means grabbing the "scrubber" or time line indicator and dragging it with the mouse.

Neeko64,
Are you using any Smart Sound tracks as they can often cause problems in PD?
And, what is the quality setting of the video you are trying
to output. (I see from your screen shot that the video is about 300MB in size.) I have a computer that can barley use PD, and I can NOT produce HD video , only standard quality.

|
I might be mistaken but i think people saying this are talking about your primary hard drive, The one you install programs onto.

and now have a different method which when CyberLink launches it we will all use I'm sure.
|
|
I use 1 average size modern monitor for my primary viewing area, and my other is a 10 (or more) year old monitor that goes back almost a foot and a half.
|
|
If you have an image of a line and apply a (i might not have the exact name) "Wipe right or left" transition it will look like its drawn in. Just apply to the beginning of the line, don't link it to any other clips. Then you can time a plane to go over it just before it shows up.
|
|
If you installed then they would be in different "rooms" as they're called in PD. Meaning the PIP, Tittle and maybe Particle. You can get to these different rooms by clicking on the icons that are to the left of the imported clips window.
|
|
As far as i know, all the windows are locked together. Meaning like you said you can only move the entire program window or set up a preview monitor.
Not sure if this is what you need but, you could try to move PD to one monitor then shrink it down to about half the screen. Then re-size the windows in PD so they're usable.
Best of luck!
