How did this happen I wonder? I have been a Platinum Member for quite some time. But tonight I saw that I was a Bronze, er Platinum, er Platinum Bronze member!
Jeff, thanks for the explanation. I wondered what that statement was supposed to mean. Now we know.

And it seems CL added a tool that will be useless for 99% of the time, hahah.
I just uploaded a simple song into AudioDirector, and then tried the Voice Removal tool.

It changed the frequency spectrum of the song significantly, but the voice was still clearly discernible.

I then initiated the Equalizer and tried adjusting out the rest of the voice. I got probably 80% of the voice removed but again it could still be heard in the background and the music portion by now really stank.

I next initiated Visual Repair and clicked Apply. It told me to Produce the track in order to save the applied changes and so I did this. The result was complete silence. lol...

Yes, it seems the Voice Removal in Music is a complete FAIL.
No, I have not used the function yet myself.
Neil, you have probably already watched the tutorials presented by Cyberlink, and they have not helped you.

BUT, just in case, this tutorial might have something you can go on.

The "Visual Repair" tool might help you isolate the voice and can it.

Never knew about Continuous Thumbnails. Thanks!

I'll take a look at HW Decode also. Normally though, I never see it as an option anymore when producing.
Not enough computer power? Or something else?

I was moving forward frame by frame and then taking snapshots. Suddenly the preview window turned green. And stayed that way.

And for ynot Tony, today while working on this same project and trying out various Effects one at a time, after several my PD11 suddenly crashed and closed.
Thanks PIX!

Hey, how come CL doesn't e-mail us when there are updates?
Suggestion: Just burn your own copies of the downloads onto CD's yourself. You can even get a free trial copy of Cyberlink Power2Go8 to do it with.
I thought it looked pretty good.
I just read that Hero3 will shoot 2.7K at 30FPS.
Now I have just tried adding directly to the clip, and same results. No crash. Next, I left the PD effect directly on the clip, and added a NB effect down below in the effects timeline and again no crash.

Sorry Tony!
And finally screen cap #4:
Hi Tony,

A strange bugga-boo you have there, indeed!

I just tried four versions, and none of them crashed my PD11. I suspect some sort of 'pathway conflict' I think the computer nerds call it.

01: Added NB - OK

02: Added PD to NB, stacked. -OK

03: Added PD only - OK

04: Added four PD's stacked - OK

Look at your receipt you received in your e-mail. The company you paid your money to (Asknet) is the one who's customer service you need to contact about cancelling your order and getting a refund.
Here is a clip I just made using the selection mask, and carefully outlining the area. I then used the 'invert' tool and changed the background to black and white. Pretty cool effect. I am really enjoying learning new things in ColorDirector.

Thanks again PIX!
Well that's a different idea, isn't it!

Thanks so much Pix for the help!
Awesome job PIX!

Got a question. Actually, I posted this same question on a Cyberlink tutorial on YT but have not received an answer.

There are two toot's about color changing. One is with the mask tool, and the other is with the keyframe tool.

My question was: "Which do you prefer, using mask or keyframe?"

Further, to you, what exactly is the difference? Why use one, over the other?

Thanks!
I have looked everywhere inside Photoirector4 for the "resize" or "image size" tool and I cannot find a thing. I have looked through the downloadable PhD4 Users manual.

In my Photoshop, there is a clear and unambiguous toggle labeled "image size".

Surely, PhotoDirector4 has one as well. But where is it?

Thanks for any help.
Phil,

I'll be doggonned! They still work! Thanks!
