Not too sure what to do now.

I tested some previous projects from my Pano GS400 and everything seems to work there okay, so it must somehow be something betwixt the cam and the program.

While I was witing this decided to film using the Dual cam feature where it alos gives a smaller res copy of the 4K.

The 4K once again played in the library but stuck after rendering a fwe secs in the Timeline but the smaller version 1280x720 with 2.8 bitrate worked correctly.

So now it is only the larger res which does not work with me.

Hopefully a little clearer now.

Yes it is an Elvis clock on the wall !

Yes this clip came through PM because when I attach the cam to the PC via the USB, PM automatically comes up on the Cam and the PC. I chose the option to transfer the files to the PC.

I have just seen the actual cam drive (G:\ in this case) and I found the file in /PRIVATE/M4ROOT/CLIP/

I dragged it to the library then to the Timeline but still got no reaction. The small "rendering' bar was on 0% and stayed there. The program finally goes into Not Responding.

Maybe something with my project setup or?

In Explorer Properties it shows ..

EDIT: Just dragged it to the Library again and it does play in the Preview there but still no go on the Timelline.

Hi,

Firstly many thanks for the quick response.

This is not the orig files I was trying to import to the timeline but I get the same stuck response with this.

The Win10 blue round cursor keeps rolling and nothing happens. One can see the yellow stops a few seconds in.

I get the Win10 Close Program or wait panel.

Hi,

I am not sure what I am doing wrong or not doing at all, but I want to transfer the files from my Sony AX53 to my Win 10 32 PC.

Sony recomend their Play Memories software which I have done and it gives me the primary .MP4 files plus small .modd and .moff files.

I can get the MP4's into the Library okay but it stops everytime I try to get them from the Library to the timeline whether it be 1 file or the lot.

Can anyone help me please?

Hi,

I have PD13 and thinking of going to 14.

I have been used to Final Cut, Magix Pro x, Magix Movie Edit etc and they all show the multi cams in a seperate frame for easy choosing when editing.

I usually do noit use audio sync but that could be very good for me.

I looked at the Tutorial video for Multi cam and it had a completely different wayof editing multicam.

Can 14 or 13 for that matter, set the different tracks into differemt views so they all show together, say 4 to a differnt monitor preview screen?

Hi,

I have captured and saved an avi file and have split it into 2 sections and placed it in sync on 2 video tracks in the timeline.

I now want to use multicam to edit it, as it is now like a 2 cam shoot.

As it is already in sync, I just need to choose vision tracks

Only using audio from track 1.

How best I do this please.

Do I need to create a file out of each track then resync again on the Multi area?

I am not sure how to save each track seperatley from the timeline either.

Hi,

I have captured am avi and have split it into sections and placed it in sync on 2 tracks.

I'm sorry I didn't explain too well.

I meant I have 3 m2t files which I want to run as one file as the original 'live; show was. Usually I can do this with avi, mpeg etc.

There seem to be a few frames of black and silence before the second clip shows the continuation of the first clip.

I tried a few things and transitions etc but nothing works.

It should just keep going however I have never done this with m2t clips before.

PS. The original from the flash card was in a folder /HDR/ and had the m2t files, an IDX file and a tracks.dat file.

Maybe somehow the idx and dat file tell the clips where to join?

Hi,

I have been given a Compact Flash Card with the files from a video cam and I have transferred them in their folders to my PC.

When I import them into PD12 they are fine but wehn I try to join them I get a [rpoblem.

It seems they do not match up perfectly as two inline clips should.

Why is this please?

I want to save the video in as good a formata s I can for archive purposes say avi, then I can get it down to mpeg etc for DVD, and web etc.

The confusion was the frame rate. I could not see anywhere in the original avi I captured from my DV camera where it was anything other than 25 as per usual for pal.

I had split the original movie into songs and saved them as avi using Produce on the time line.

It was when I opened another project and brought in these avi clips that I got the 23.9 message. Still not sure where on earth that frame rate was allocated.

So to summerise 'playsound', should I still save to avi as the best then as you say mpeg and h264 for the rest.

When setting up producing there is a drop down option with many option and this is where I go bananas. For a normal PAL 16:9 what one should I choose? I would have thought there was a default without having to choose.

'Borgus' I will try to do a test and ignore but I wonder whether this would effect the final outcome in quality etc.

Hi,

I am confused about what frame rate to choose when producing a movie.

I have the timeline area set to 16:9 PAL and I want to produce a 16:9 movie

When choosing Produce I see all these size options. What is the best one to choose?

I have tried avi, mpeg2 and H264 but am now really confused.

I have tried some but get 'you work area is 25 frame rate and this clip is 23.9'.

Please help to get the normal default for 16:9

Hi,

I have mostly edited in 4:3 but now need into get into 16:9.

I have captured a 16:9 DV and set the PD12 edit space as 16:9 at the top.

Thing is I have 2 regular 19" screens NOT widescreen.

I am saving clips but they seen to be jerky a little when I play them back.

They look good in the PD12 small preview screen though.

Is there anything I should be aware of so I can produce a 16:9 video result?

With 12 I have a 1 hour show on the timeline and I wish to cut each song and then save them as separate clips for editing.

Hi,

So far haven't seen an audio level meter anywhere so one can actually 'see' what the sound levels are.

Is there one in 12?

If not it's a good idea in a future patch for the timeline area to have one so that one can see the levels of clips across the timeline.

I work in audio most days and to me it is very helpful to 'see' levels in the workspace.

Hi,

I have both an avi and an mpg file of 28 mins and I am trying to burn a DVD without a menu.

I get to the Menu choice and choose 'No Menu' and given a panel with 2 choices but as soon as I press the button the program crashes.

It has done this several times.

I want to burn a DVD with one video, no chapters, no menu etc.

What is the best way to do this and why does it crash please?

I am using XP Pro.
