Hi,

I have both an avi and an mpg file of 28 mins and I am trying to burn a DVD without a menu.

I get to the Menu choice and choose 'No Menu' and given a panel with 2 choices but as soon as I press the button the program crashes.

It has done this several times.

I want to burn a DVD with one video, no chapters, no menu etc.

What is the best way to do this and why does it crash please?

I am using XP Pro.

Ah haa.

Sounds good..

Again.. Many thanks
Thank you. Great..

Have a little crackle noise at the front of one song so will see if I can lessen it without changing the whole sound.

I am used to Cubase and Audition to do this but it means re syncing the audio to vision.

Thanks for the tip

Hi,

I have imported several 3 min or so video clips onto the timeline that are mono.

In between these clips I have 30 second titles and stereo music.

I have created an avi file and made the dvd but just now realize that the mono is mono and the fill in music is stereo.

What is then easiest way to get to the two tracks so it comes out of both speakers.

Thanks

oz

Many thanks..

Will give that a go..

Hi,

I am editing a bunch of clips in 12 with titles between them etc and when I am at a point from the start and after watching the preview of that part, I hit stop and the cursor goes right back to the start.

I want it to stay where it is as I am still editing there.

How can I do this please?

Thanks

Will do...
Hi,

I received a bonus of the Power2Go V5 however I notice that it is only a teaser of the program allowing it to do only some things.

Is this how it should be, or should i have got a real bonus of a program that does what it says?

At the moment it only does data discs.

Hi,

I know this is really basic but it has me stumped!!

How do I get to see the wavs in the audio time line. I need to sync audio and video.

Thanks

oz
Yes !! Thank you both - Problem solved!!
Hi,

I have taken some small clips from project 1 and placed them in project 2.

Noiw I would like to save each clip individually from this time line.

Can I do this.. say by highlighting a clip and it will only save that clip?

Or is there another way?

Thanks

oz
Ah Haaa.

Just copied the split clips in project 1 and opened a new project and pasted the clips. All went well.

Much happiness here!! :

oz
Thanks Neil..

I think the penny is dropping on my drear old brain.

I've got the split option now. Great!

I've seen many of the vids but then I don't get to use PD for a while and forget it all!

Hopefully more will stick this time.

Thanks again

oz
Oh I just noticed!

I don't have those buttons above the timeline.

I looked but can't see whee I get them to show.

oz

It's okay.. Found it.. have to highlight the primary track.

Sorry.. Trying to get my head around it all...
Thank you Jaime-esque.

Neil just gave me the clue about the 'split' not the trim box as you have eluded to I will go see about it now.

I will also try and paste a clip into a new project so I guess will soon see if it works or not.

Thanks again,

oz

Oh my.. missed that in the tutorials..

I will go and see if there is a video tutorial on it now. Yes much easier, certainly for one who has been indoctrinated for so many years doing it another way.

Appreciate the help Neil,

oz
Would like to see (if it's not already in 10) a View option to choose frame size in timeline, say 2 secs, 5, secs, 10 sec etc and the also by each frame as in MediaStudio8.

Also option to cut clips without that trim box.. Just a scissor on the time line.

HI,
For many years in MediaStudio when I wanted to copy say 10 secs from a 1 hour clip, I used the scissors to '
cut in' at a frame then cut out at another frame. I then 'copied' that portion and pasted to another video/audio track running parallel to the primary one. Te primary one remained 'uncut'.

When I was ready to collect all these small clips. I would 'copy' them all or group them and copy them to another project and paste them there for further editing. My original was untouched.

How can I do a similar thing in PD10.

I tried the Trim box and found it quite clumsy as I was not clear what was happening.

When I chose the small portion and OK, I noticed that was the only thing on the timeline, the rest had gone.

Knowing what I am used to and how my thought process is now after so many years, can someone please tell me a clear way to do this.

Thanks

oz
Thanks guys.

Yes good tutorials.

Thanks for doing all that work for newbies like me.

Now to get my old head around them!
