Hi,

I knew about this but have forgotten so did some searches but still no joy.

It is selected in preferences but I still cannot see the wav form in the audio track.

Any help please.

Hi ozstar,
The wave form is generated after placement. A temporary text file stores the data and is located here: C:\Users\YourPCNameHere\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\12.0\WaveForms
Deleting these temp text files will not harm your PC/PDR, PDR will generate new text files when you insert a media file with audio.
Shadow Edit File creation can delay/stall the wave form generation. If you have a powerful computer ShadowEdit Files for HD video are not necessary.

Expanding the audio track in Edit Workspace will or should reveal the wave form. Expanding the track display will elongate the wave form.

Moving to modify the audio, Edit Audio button will give you WaveEditor or AudioDirector to view and change the audio file.

See attached image.
