Hi,

I have captured and saved an avi file and have split it into 2 sections and placed it in sync on 2 video tracks in the timeline.

I now want to use multicam to edit it, as it is now like a 2 cam shoot.

As it is already in sync, I just need to choose vision tracks

Only using audio from track 1.

How best I do this please.

Do I need to create a file out of each track then resync again on the Multi area?

I am not sure how to save each track seperatley from the timeline either.

Thanks

You have elected not to use Multicam Designer or Sync by Audio which is the easy way. You can do it maually many ways. One way is as follow. Try this:

  1. Highlight the clip on track 1. Place the cursor on the center right side white ball of the preview screen and drag it to the left passed the center.

  2. Highlight the clip on track 2. Place the cursor on the center left side white ball of the preview screen and drag it to the right passed the center.

  3. You should be able to see both clips now as you play them on the timeline. Place splits on the track2 where you want track1 to be visable and a split on track 2 where you want track1 not to be visable. Continue on doing this until you are finished.

  4. Either delete all the split pairs you made on track2 or make them invisible by setting the opacity slider to 0 on those split clips you created.

  5. 5. Highlight and resize the windows on both tracks to full size.

Good Luck.

Thank you .. I saw in the Multi Designer I had to have actual files, not just clips from timeline which I hoped I could drag there.

I will give this a try.

Many thanks
