Does not download. The downloader finishes and says dwnload completed. The patch is not seen in the downloaded location. Where is the problem

ProDAD Mercalli offers video stabilization. Don't know if we can "keyframe" with it. I think not.

I checked your PD. It is indeed quite impressive. You usage of opacity and sizing does work. I would rather produce 4 clips keeping each clip at bottom most track, fill the screen and return to the original size and position at its corner.
Thank you once again Ynotfish for taking trouble to help me.

You are right. Stabilization should be "keyframeable" as shakiness may not always be in the entire clip. Stabilization in PD actually zooms the image which is not always desired for the full clip.

There seems to be a solution which is
Create and render 4 pictures keeping the picture that is required to fill the screen at the bottom most track. Save and render
Repeat for other 3 clips, keeping each in bottom and rendering making a total of 4 rendered clips. Put these in a new PDS time line and render as a complete video.
This will work with more clips; however will become exhaustive if the clips are say 50

Thanks for the reply ynotfish. I am at the office as I type this. I have seen such as required be me on TV in NatGeo and few others.
It looks beautiful. There is a mosaic of pictures / videos, all still. The respective picture or video fills the screen as the narrator starts to describe it.
Keeping the video still is possible by taking a snap shot of 1st frame of the video and positioning it just before the start of the video clip, provide enough duration so that it zooms, fills the screen and the video starts from thereon.

You have to create a PPT with a duration of 5 secs. for each slide and a delay of atleast 2 secs. between slides

Here is the situation
I put 4 pictures/videos on tracks 2 to 5 as pip and each picture occupied a corner of the screen.
I now want each picture, starting from bottom left to zoom and fill the screen, stay for a while and shrink back to its corner.
I used motion and scale functions to achieve this.
The problem is objects sitting on higher tracks ie. 4,3,2 the image slides behind the other 3, the reason being the track at the bottom ,i.e., track 5 in this instance, takes precedence over the other tracks above it.
I can use opacity to solve this. I however want the other clips lying on other tracks visible all through and behind the image I am up and down scaling as I cycle through each clip in succession.

Did you check the file extension. Does it show <filename>.pds. If no then try renaming with .pds extension and try

That's brilliant. Never occurred to me. Thank you
Edit:
It would been less confusing had CL provided a button as "Single clip" or "OK"

Recently I was editing a video for our office. I wanted to stabilize a single clip on the time line. I get the option "Keyframe" and "Apply to all". On selecting keyframe I do not see the option for stabilization. I cannot use apply to all as it distorts normal clips.
I have read about this in the forum but unable to trace it.
I believe some one said to render the clip as a separate project and insert it in the main timeline.
Is this the only solution or I am missing something

I do not understand why admin. privileges are required to install PD 12. I installed mine normally by not using the option "Run as administrator".

As Tony said Camtasia is good program. I use it and works well with PD. Match your Camtasia video clip properties to that of your camera, bit rates, fps; if not exact atleast closest. It works beautifully without jitters and jagged lines

I am not sure if this will help. Reduce your laptop's resolution by a notch.

I agree with Julien Pierre. In the 1st case ie., raw clips; on clicking audio analysis the clip is shifted behind the 1st clip while with re-rendered clip it synchronizes properly. It is a bug indeed

I don't think so

GSGaming12
It appears some of your files got corrupted.
Uninstall PD12. Run a registry cleaner. CCleaner is a good one.
Reboot
Re-install PD12

A warm welcome from here in India. It is a pleasant 23 C here in Mumbai .
I would seriously advice you to start with windows movie maker. It has enough frills and fancies to get you started and make a very very decent video.
I started from that one.
You may at the same time paddle PD12. There is a option to make a quick video with almost no editing skills.
Given the timeline you have to make a presentation I suggest to you to make the video with Windows movie maker. This is less demanding on the computer you have and will work like a charm with video format your camera will produce.
Good luck !

What you said is what the Cyberlink wants too. Unfortunately Cyberlink cant access and test on all computer configurations around the world.
You should be aware that the software is "Beta tested" by Cyberlink and by many distinguished members of this forum before it released to general public. It is impossible to anticipate how PD will behave in a particular computer set up. Hence the glitches and patches.
DarkHorseMt.
To check if your PD is with patch 2420 click on power director icon on top right. It will show the version number like e.g, 2230.
If the version number is not 2420 then you need to apply the patch.

I had created a project in PD-11 rendered an MP4. No problem playing on my Sony TV.
I opened the same project in PD-12 and rendered as MPEG-2 which does not play on my TV. I had posted about this in another thread. Rendering as MP4 plays however.
Yesterday I created a fresh 5 min project in PD-12 which was rendered as WMV and MPEG-2 which plays on my TV with default rendering parameters ie., 1980x1080m,50p,25 mbps (MPEG-2). My project has a mix of MP4 shot from my cell phone at 17 Mbps and from my Sony HX-300, (25 Mbps 50p), with titles at the beginning and at the end. 2 transitions were added to simulate the project created on PD-11
The file created on PD-11 was about 54 min. I used same clips as used in PD-11
Now the question
Why does the PDS created on PD-12 rendered as MPEG-2 or WMV plays on my TV while the one created on PD-11 does not.
AVCHD does not play in both cases and I am trying different bit rates

There was no problem with the heat sink. I use water cooler. AMD runs hot and consumes more power
