Split PPT Movie and set new durations

I am trying to sync a presentation video (shown in bottom left) with the Powerpoint (PPT) slides (right pane). I have created a WMV from the PPT and set the default duration of each PPT slide to 5 seconds.

When I import it into the timeline in PowerDirector, I need to find a way to split it out by 5 seconds and then extend the duration of each split so it will be in sync with the video. I can split every 5 seconds pretty quickly, but when I got to 'stretch' the split object it reveals other PPT slides ?? I just want to extend that one slide ....

NOTE: I have imported the PPT was a WMV movie so that set it in the correct position in the PIP once only.

Any help much appreciated
Kind regards
Rich

You have to create a PPT with a duration of 5 secs. for each slide and a delay of atleast 2 secs. between slides

@BabIndia,
Thanks for the quick reply.Can you expand on this a little bit ? For example, how do you add a delay between slides and do I set the duration when exporting the PPT to WMV or in the slides themselves.
Kind regards
Rich
