In Pd17 , 'left click drag' on the timeline scales the timeline.
Scrolling with Mouse Wheel srolls the timeline but this is too slow.
Is there an option to Pan the Timeline without Scaling it similar to 'leftclickdrag' above ?

There doesn't seem to be any way to directly access previously asked questions on this forum.
I would like to refer to them , but couldn't find them in my Profile page .

Under Fix/Enhance there is an option to VideoDenoise , but it doesn't seem to do much.
Are there any other alternatives available in Pd17 , escpecially something like Nvidia Ai denoiser?

But eventhough the AAC/PCM (.mov (PNG)) audio gets detected , it is shown as a flat wave and is not played by Pd.

Hello, which 2 video formats support transparency in PD along with audio?
By the way ,there was some issue with the transparency file settings , on changing these settings the Quicktime(Png) format works .
But a new issue has come up, Audio file linked to the Quicktime(Png) clip is not detected by PD.
How can this be resolved?

In Pd17 , video files with transparency supported formats like Quicktime (Png / Qt Animation) are not showing the intended tranparent background. Changing blending modes shows transparent background but fades the video.
Here PD Supported File Formats support for alphaPng (Quicktime) is mentioned but doesn't work in reality.
Which other tranparent video formats are supported in Powerdirector?

I am looking to create animations like this video (created in Adobe AfterEffects).
It mainly requires animatable masks and use of expressions amongst other features.
I did have a look at Powerdirector19 and ActionDirector , but didn't find the above features mentioned .
Just to confirm ,does Cyberlink have a product which has tools to create motion graphics from scratch?

PD ScreenRecorder2 renders borders on resuming paused video.
It works fine when the recorder is first started but when it is paused and resumed the recorded video has a red dash outline around it .

Also ,another issue - There is no indication whether the recoder is paused on screen, making it difficult to know when the recording is resumed.
How to know whether the recording is resumed?

I could find the cpt files from existing Pipobjects ,but the file for the Pipobject I created could not be found.

In Pd17(Windows10/64) ,I would like to edit the properties of a custom Pipobject in it's cpt file, for creating a PipObject from an Image Sequence.
I could find the cpt files from existing Pipobjects ,but the file for the Pipobject I created cannot be found.
Looked in the path where the pip Image is located-
C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector17\PiPObject
Also it cannot be found in -
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector
Where is .cpt file(PipObject) created on disk?

There's an option provided to spawn particles on a Motion path , but no option provided to make these particles follow the set path.
The closest I could come was by using the "bubble" path (with zero gravity )and made it face the particle path but it didn't work.
Is there any way to spawn Particles on a Motion Path ?

I was trying to monitor the end of Pd17 (Powerdirector 17) video output rendering,so that the rendered output file could be provided to a "compression" program like Handbrake for further processing(with Powershell).
In order to monitor the end of rendering ,Pd17 has to send an "event "signal which could be monitored by Powershell.
Currently, Powershell can monitor if Pd17 is "Running",but there are no other event signals available.
Also ,there is no Powerdirector Sdk available for customisation/automation.
Is there were any way to monitor Powerdirector's render progress ,so that the output file could be post processed with automation via Powershell.

Powerdirector 17(Pd17) gives the ability to set volume for individual channels of a stereo audio clip (right click-> AudioEditor->Edit Single Channel [right corner]),thereby simulating a Panning Effect .
But when the volume is changed for the active single channel ,the inactive channel's volume also changes by the same amount.This merely mimics the changes which take place while doing a Mutlichannel edit ,in which both the channels change when one channel is edited.
Ideally in Single channel audioediting only the active channel should change and the inactive channel's volume should remain unaffected.
Is their any way to get Singe channel editing to work ?

Hi,
Powerdirector 17 comes with great surround sound features like DolbyDigital 5.1 and dts 5.1.
However ,to implement these features, the required Surround Sound Panner doesn't seem to exist.
I couldn't find any mention of the panner in the official Powerdirector 17 documentation , and so I looked into the surround sound implementation in AudioDirector.
There is a feature to convert the audio/music layer to a 5.1 channel layer in Audiodirector and a surround sound panner is available in the clip's AudioEditor.
However ,there seems to be no such feature available in Powerdirector.
Is there any way to convert the audio/music layer to 5.1 surround sound channel in Pd17 and also a surround sound panner to implement the effect?

On exporting a 500Mb video on a 3Gb free space drive , Powerdirector 17 gives the following error -
"Destination disk drive is full"
As the exported file is less than 4Gb,this error is not due to the FAT32 drive.
I looked in the Preferences for any option to change the Destination disk drive size,but couldn' find one.
Is there such an option available in PD17 to change destnation drive free space and what is the free disk space requirement?

I use ScreenRecorder 4 which came bundled with PowerDirector17 on my i3-2.2ghz laptop(Windows 10/64bit).
I use it for making tutorials which are typically 1 hour long.
The screen recording and audio work fine for most of the time but suddenly out of nowwhere the audio starts crackling for about 5-10 minutes and then starts sounding fine.It completely ruins the affected section of the recording.
I am using a BlueYeti mic and have configured ScreenRecorder to use the sound card on the BlueYeti.
I monitor the audio with a headphone but when ever the crackling happens ,it does not get picked up in monitoring.
On checking the Audio settings in the ScreenRecorder ,there are no tweaking options available.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Hi,
I do a lot of Infographic style videos on PD17,which involves moving in and out elements like images and text on the screen at precise times .I happen to use a lot of the defaults in MotionDesigner which is under Pan&Zoom to do these motion effects.
However,,the audio playhead doesnot move on opening the motion designer window ,which makes It impossible to do any precise timing of these motions .Also there is no "Audio Scrubbing" in PD17 which could have aided in acheiving the result
Please let me know if there are any workarounds to this situation.

Hi,
I was trying to move the current selected clip with the clips on it's right in the timeline ie. RippleEdit .On selecting the clip and when the cursor changed to the "hand icon", I left clicked and dragged the clip but only the selected clip moved not the one's on it's right.
Then I tried the same method while pressing "Shift","Ctrl" and "Alt" keys in various combinations but still the adjacent clips just didn't move.
So , I searched and found a previous Cyberlink post on this topic here .In it the same steps as I had performed were mentioned .
Why is the ripple edit option not working for me in Pd17 ?
Is there an option to toggle between the ripple edit modes which I might have accidently toggled?
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Hi,
I have recently purchased PowerDirector Ultra 17 and exported my first Hd720p video.
The Hd720p video is getting automatically cropped.
I have tested videos in other Videoeditors and they are shown in the original aspect ratio(as expected).
However, Powerdirector videos have a crop
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
