I do recall that a well known senior contributor reported the 4 GB capture limit when using PD17 on his pc which would be a NTFS formatted drive. I reported different problems and do not believe all the issues were ever fixed. Support was aware of the issues then. Do not know if they ever fixed the 4 GB capture limit reported to them.
If you can prove that the drive used to record the capture is an internal drive in your pc, then you need to start a support ticket to maybe get it fixed.
I believe that the PD12 supplied with that VC-500 does not have the 4 GB bug but may not support the mp4 capture that you are using.
The copyright protected recording prohibited does not happen if you use the supplied ez grabber software. Your possibilities are endless.

This is in the list in the Cyberlink Learning Center of PowerDirector Tutorials: https://www.cyberlink.com/learning/powerdirector-video-editing-software/283/create-a-star-wars-style-title-opener .
See this tutorial too on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5ilMtKGWnA .
It may help.

You should be able to uninstall the PD20 via Windows. You should then be able to install the original version of PD20 with those installation files you should have. You did keep the original install files in a safe place, right?
If you want any help or let Cyberlink support know about your problems then you must contact them and create a support ticket. This is a user forum only.

How long have you had this vc-500 adapter and was it working in windows 10 before? If you upgraded to win 11, you may want to check the diamondmm website for info and possibly new drivers for it. The device is one of the best sold in the usa. In Europe you may find similar ones for $10. Search this form for ‘vhs capture’ for suggested devices others use.

Wow. I just checked my Cyberlink Application Manager. The only option shown for the PowerDirector 365 - Screen Recorder is Open. There is no Uninstall for it. It has to be uninstalled by the Windows App and Feature list first before an install by the Cyberlink Application Manager. I thought this would be clear from me and optodata to do. Guess that more clarification was needed. Glad that Support was able to help and you got it working!

Thank you for the screenshot. The VC-500 capture should have a lit up led on the body if it is plugged in to an usb port that is working. The 8th button is Capture from a TV signal on the top left should be lit blue. Click that button and it becomes an active white button.
It looks like the capture device is not powered up with an active working usb port. It is also possible that the capture device or the usb port used is dead. You may want to try a front usb port on the pc.

I would check to see if the AnalogTV button is selected in the Capture page. Check to see if the setting is for Composite and not S-Video since that is what you have. Other settings may have changed too so make sure it is set to the appropriate PAL settings, etc. Windows and PD updates may change or change the previous settings so you need to check and set them each time if necessary.

The Video Template room still consists of the Express projects installed and imported from my earlier version of PD. This issue you found is explained by the PDM earlier. Here is the link: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/97242.page . There are a couple of ways that you may get the desired templates back. 1. Install an earlier version of PD365 in which I am using. 2. Install the PD20 Essentials and use it to start your project. Complete the project as needed with the PD365.
Others may have different suggestions.

Open PD365. On the top left click on Plugins/Screen Recorder to start it. You may have the Cyberlink free downloads installed earlier, including the screen recorder 4 deluxe which is not the basic screen recorder 4 that is included with PD365. You need to enter that product key once you paid for it and get the email.
If this is not the case then uninstall screen recorder 4 and reinstall it via the application manager.

You can go ahead and install PD20. Leave PD15 in place so you will have both versions. The custom produce profiles, custom titles, particles, PiP objects, transitions, and menus from my previous PD versions all appear in PD20/365.
Don’t know what you mean by settings. There are no custom settings I made in PD15 unless you mean like in the custom titles, etc.

The end of the clip is a black blank. Move the cursor to the end of the clip and advance one frame backward at a time until you see the frame you want to be at the end. Do a split and remove the right portion. Be sure that the last frame on the clip is not a blank blank. If it is not then do a freeze frame of the end of this clip.
Edit: This may help. The OP stated that the end of the clip is a blank black frame. He needs to remove all those black frames until it is the frame he wants to show at the end that is not black and take that screenshot instead to be placed at the end.

See this tutorial that can help one can adapt to create that motion trail that may be simpler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGrhOJ3_JAY . It is not as elaborate as the Sonic Speed creation.

You need the Cyberlink ColorDirector feature ‘To turn any background to a green screen’. See this link: https://www.cyberlink.com/products/colordirector/features_en_US.html .

This could be a homebuilt computer as the motherboard is not identified. Intel has temperature monitoring software for their Intel brand mb. HW Monitor app works well on younger motherboards to monitor temperature.
You may want to remove the sticker and rubber plug on the HSF and put a drop of oil to lubricate the motor.
You could also replace the HSF with a better aftermarket one rated to cool greater than the 130 watt tdp of the cpu or simply leave the side of the case open. See this thread on what others do: https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/Core-I7-950-Temperature/m-p/393425 .
Edit: optodata has good stress test software you can use to help determine the problem.

It looks like the DVD Folder is talking about the original source video being from a DVD. Sadly, that is not the case here. I created the video from scratch on PowerDirector 19 and I am tryihng to get it onto a DVD for duplication.
If there is a way to create the folder or file after setting the menu and all the chapter breaks without burining it to a disk so that then I can take a clash drive or external hard drive to the duplication service, I am all ears.
Thanks!
Try this in PD19:
1. In The Final Burn window uncheck everything. Check Create a folder.
2. Download Power2Go and use it to burn that created DVD folder. Be sure to follow instructions. I believe that you need to select the 8.5GB instead of the 4.7GB default setting.
3. Burn the DVD at 4x speed if you find it in the settings.
You can take that created folder or a created image to any duplication service to burn a DVD. Check their requirements first.

Wait...these folders are what I get when I burn the DVD...the trouble is I am not having any success burning the DVD, so how do I ge the folders?
My ultimate objetive is to make DVDs that people can use on their DVD/Blu-ray players. Can Power2go and imgburn do that?
See this FAQ: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=1567#:~:text=A%20DVD%20folder%20is%20a%20folder%20that%20contains,folder%20on%20your%20hard%20disk%20as%20the%20destination. . Use VLC as suggested by Barry to play this video folder. Burn it either using Cyberlink Power2Go menu Video Disc/ Burn DVD Folder. Most advanced users use ImgBurn as suggested by Barry, These are free burner software.
If you like you can buy more expensive software like Nero, etc. to do the same job. The LG optical drives cam come with their own tools and software for their burner that may be used.

Nicolette2020 - Go to Preferences/Editing and uncheck Switch to movie mode… , You might as well uncheck Return to clip/movie beginning after preview. Let us know if this solves the issue.

You can do this easily with videos by using ColorDirector which is sold separately. There used to be Video and Photo presets available in the DirectorZone that can be used but they have dissapeared.

I don't understand!! It always getting an error even cyberlink_bluray_advisor showing everything green. See the unable.jpg attachment, thats what error I getting when using "Intel UHD graphic" GPU.
According to your CyberLink_Advior_Log_20220702_004926.zip, clicking the more info goes to the Cyberlink FAQ link that says you need to upgrade the Essential version to use the more advanced features.
Since you have already contacted support on your other post, it may be best to contact them too for this post to see if they can also get this resolved for you quickly.

According to your Advisor.jpg screenshot, your pc can play normal blu-ray discs. Read that top paragraph.
