If I use the zoom in effect, it will just zoom into the center, but let's say I want to zoom into a portion of text in the image that is on the upper right, or left? and also is there a way to HILIGHT a certain part of that text within power director?
I'm trying to achieve an effect of eliminating world leaders/war criminals from existence, from memories, like no more file available. in other words show a picture of a leader then it burns out and no file available appears.

Hi rtys,

If you are talking about the the little Windows info boxes that pop-up, then Carl is right,

you just have to wait till they disappear.

However, if you are talking about the clip titles that are embedded into the audio clips in your timelines, then yes, you can remove them by following the steps shown here. . .

Basically…
- Highlight the clip or audio.
- Right click and choose Change Alias in the menu.
- In the Alias box, delete the characters.

Thanks, that worked! is there a way also to make the waves zoom in/vertically, like as if they were louder? would be easier to see as well.
Watching the waveforms makes editing much easier, but they are obscured by the titles of the video clips. is there a way to remove the names so I can just see the waves? especially when you start splitting them, the names are everywhere in each clip
I know I asked this question before and got an answer, but was just uploading my 4 minute video in mp4 13mb/sec format, and it's taking forever, then I saw it's almost 400mb size, and I wonder if that will affect the speed when people will try to play the video of that size? what is usually the format that is used for youtube videos?
Which format would you recommend for my case: I am making political speeches using a $300 mike+ processor for audio, and Microsoft LifeCam for video. my goal is to eventually reach out to millions with these videos, so I don't want it to be low quality but I also don't want to waste too much space/processing time
thx, never noticed that before
I would have thought that in a digital world it should not lose any quality
fades and other transition effects keep becoming reversed for no reason. and then instead of fading out, it abruptly ends and fades IN... any idea why?
dragging the dots seems to be totally insensitive, I want to make one clip very quiet within the program. I think someone told me before, in the modify section, but I don't see anywhere
never mind, I found the zoom effect.

thanks I learned how to do it from your links. windows paint, then in pip object room chroma key white part out and use as frame. thx again.
Quote: I'd suggest a better alternative, since you really want a rectangle rather than an oval, is to use Video Crop to cut out the edges. That way, you're left with a rectangle. You could still apply a frame/overlay if you wish.

Here are some tutorials that will help - http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/29377.page - look for Making & Using Frames & Video Crop - Basic Trim.

Thanks,
This may be a stupid question, but I'm using a focus in effect track to block out unwanted stuff in the sides of the video clips, this way I don't have to set it in each clip, it's uniform... and I like it, works great. only problem is I can not make it square or rectangle shape (only circle or oval). is there any way to do this to get a rectangular background not within each clip, but as an additive on a separate track so that it would be uniform for all clips?
one portion of my project accidentally got deleted when I was backing up/saving as... and now that part is only in earlier versions of my project... what's the best way to import the missing portion of project into the most updated version?
THANKS!!
File>Export>Pack project materials
to check text for errors. and also is there a way to back up the project with files only associated with it, because I have over 50gb of videos, only a portion of which are used. for example in steinbergs Cubase (audio editing) it even extracts just the portions of those files that are used and saves all that's needed in separate folder

Also, within the editing interface is a link to the DirectorZone. You will find it as a DZ icon in most of the different editing modules. In addition I am collecting many important links in 1 place, see my signature.
Thank you. that worked
do you have a link or is that within the program? I did not see where?
does anyone know if there's a particle effect that I can download that has dollars flying around? trying to make a video about money in politics
