Quote I've got a multicam timeline and have to crop every time I change clips. About 1/3 of the crops are similar but I don't find any place for making a crop preset. The other crops vary. These are the clicks I have to make for every clip.
1.tools
2.power tools
3.crop and zoom check box
4.crop/zoom button
5.freeform
6.click blue dot center crop area before any adjustments possible
7.start adjusting crop size
8.ok

So I'm interested to see if I can speed up this tedious process. Thanks

try it
Select the video, Direct action on the image in the Preview screen
Keyframe button, Clip Attributes, for more resources.
Quote PD will not import movies produced by previous versions of power director. Have used most versions of PD.
files play with VLC media player.
Other editing software will not import my movies - generally vision but no sound.

PD16 needs to do online activation to work with MPEG2 files
You can copy or save an audio in the timeline, only the selected part.
If it is an audio of the video the process is more time consuming process 1º to extract the audio of all the video.
In the timeline use the yellow arrow to select the part to be saved.
Button, Produce Range. Audio file, choose quality.
I prefer PCM WAV
In addition to ynotfish said, you can select the 1st hold the shft key and click the last photo.

The Slideshow button is only displayed if you select only photos (pictures) in time line
Quote Last night I installed the main program all good so far. Started installiing Premium Content No1 but when this reached 91% the installation stuck, after leaving it 30 mins I decided to stop it and try again today. Should I uninstall PDR 16 and reinstall the whole thing again or is there another way?

They are installed separately, you do not have to do it all over again.
It takes time, but not as much as yours.
If you have anti-virus, disable it during installation.
[quotePostId=298542]Yes I know, but in this mode I have no video preview window in AD, cannot add additional audio tracks a.s.o.

Only good to remove noise, and such things.[/quotePostId]

This you do timeline in PD.

To mount audio only in AE in the MIX room.
If I understand, you have opened AE from the PD16 timeline, after editing the audio just close AE by (x) confirm if you want to save the edit automatically returns to PD16 with edited audio, also a WAV file is added to the library. .
Quote I've just purchased PowerDirector 16 Ultimate and am trying produce an mp4 however the audio needed editing and is now no longer synchronised.

I have linked the audio to the video and the audio was edited in Wave Editor. I can only see help topics regarding versions 15 and earlier and they appear to have an option to "Sync By Audio" but this feature is not visible in the latest version.

Is someone able to point me in the right direction?

To synchronize, you need to select 2 audios in different tracks on the timeline, then press the Sync by Audio button.

If you use WaveEditor to fix 1 or more audios, do so before syncing.
Quote Thanks, I can work with your advises. Hoped that there was an option to do it without calculating, just recizing the selected material......

You can select the images in the timeline, Slideshow button, add music, Slideshow Preferences, Fit photos to music, choose a theme.
In this case the slide has the effects automatic and adjusted to the size of the music.
Quote When I add music to the time line, the song is f.i. 4:00 minutes.
Then I add the images to the time line and want to set the time for ALL images together to those 4:00 minutes.

But whatever I do, I can only set the time for ONE image, even after selecting them all or grouping the images first. What do I do wrong or is this not an option..?

I think PD16 does not automatically adjust to the size of the song.
What I do, I select all images in the timeline and adjust the time that will be applied to all the images (Duration button), a fine adjustment I make in just one image
Thanks to everyone for your help, I already knew of problems with Nvidia drivers, but my card is AMD this started in August 2017, if I go back to drivers prior to August I have HA in PD.
But I have no improvements promised by AMD.
Only with PD have problems other applications this normal.
Example: In Chrome if HA has significant improvement for games.
After updating AMD R9 270 video drivers, "Win7-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-Edition-18.2.2-Feb12"
I have green screen for fullhd videos in the timeline, I need to disable HA to edit.
Has anyone had this problem?
You opened the audio in AudioDirector or WaveEditor from PD16 and it shows only 1 channel is that.
PD16 shows only one wave but in reality they are 2 L and R channels.

Quote I had PD14 installed on my computer and then upgraded to PD16.

I have now purchased a new computer and need to re-install PD16. I can re-install PD14 off of the CD i have but can't figure out how to re-install PD16.

I have paid for PD16 and have the activation code but I can't seem to figure out to to get PD16 installed.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

If it's CyberLink PowerDirector16 Upgrade

You must install PD14 first.

When installing PD16, PD14 is automatically uninstalled.

PD16 has a license for a specific machine, not to use another machine at the same time, I think.

This computer is replacing the one that originaly had PD one it.

I installed 14 from a cd that I purchased. 16 came from their website and I don't have a cd.

I have no physical 16 to install.

Their customer, technical service, lacks service.

Thanks.

Bob W.

If it was lost the PD16 files downloaded.
I think you should ask for help from the store where you bought it or here

Quote Shadow Files less than 720x480 - from the preferences menu there is no option for a shadow file less than 720x480. Is there a way around this? My laptop is budget and cant handle these resolutions very well.

Like I used to.

Produce a file using (SVRT). name, "HD video pre"

Produce a file using 352x480 or smaller. name, "pre video"

Edition made on this "pre video"

Completed project Save As, name ...

In case of producing the video in different size.

Rename "pre video" example: "#pre video"

Open project

PD will ask if you want to search for file, "pre video"

Redirect to file, "HD pre video"

Produce video in the final size.
sutor2008

First after opening the project change to 16x9, then click with the right mouse button on a video in the timeline to select, Set Clip Attributes / Set Aspect Ratio, check the box, De aspect ratio of the video is 16x9, check the box Apply to all videos / OK
Last PD had more options, size x DVD quality, still has, if chosen Regular display (4x3)
Cyberlink has application "Power2Go" specific to create DVD, I do not know
1 I think, PD does not do exactly what you want.

2 PD maintain the proportion of the PNG image.

If necessary you can in Pip Designer uncheck the box, Maintain aspect ratio, so you can adjust by acting directly on the preview or the Scale controls.

Note: make direct replace in the timeline, the added image must have the same current ratio.
I in your case, try option.
Import Media Files.
Types, select All Media Files.
Control + A on the files
(On the keyboard, it selects all).
Open.
Quote: Hi,

Lately I've taken to use H.264 AVC(MP4) to render sequences for a video I'm putting together. I figure MP4 to be a lossless file type(meaning I don't expect it to degrade after a couple of renderings). The camera I currently use is a Canon Legria HF R506, which shoots video in either AVCHD or MP4(selectable between either), so I've selected MP4. When I import the clips to my computer for editing, those clips show up in my "media library" with shadow files still generating(corner pip going from yellow to green). My problem is not with the shadow files, in fact, I find I can pull the clip onto my timeline and trim it down as needed even while the shadow file is still generating.

Shadow files are temporary, stored in hidden folder.

They are deleted automatically after 30 days or manually in PD configurations.

For the best quality Produce use Intelligent SVRT if possible.
