New to PowerDirector 14 and have a couple of questions

Hi, I'm new to PD 14 and have a couple of questions I hope someone might be able to help with.

1) I create videos for FB which need to be square for the best effect in the news feed. This is simple to do in products like Camtasia as you just adjust the size of the canvas before you start but I cannot find a way to do this in PowerDirector. Consequently, I end up with black bands down the sides of my animated image quotes once uploaded (whether using 16:9 or 4:3). Is there a way around this please?

2) My logo that I need to use in projects is a png file. However, when I upload it to PD it seems like the aspect ratio is not maintained and the image is out of proportion. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this?

1 I think, PD does not do exactly what you want.

2 PD maintain the proportion of the PNG image.

If necessary you can in Pip Designer uncheck the box, Maintain aspect ratio, so you can adjust by acting directly on the preview or the Scale controls.

Note: make direct replace in the timeline, the added image must have the same current ratio. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
