A quick reaction, not a step by step instruction, sorry.
1) If you have each clip and the mp3 file in sync, I would suggest that you produce a video file for each of them separately. Pick the specs of that video file wisely (read use high quality where possible), so that you have sufficient quality of the next steps. MAKE sure that these videos start precisely at the same moment, so that when started at the same time, they are in sync, since in the collage designer you do not have to possibility to sync them again.
2) once you have these files you dont have to bother about the synchronisation any more, but only about getting them all on the same screen. You can use the collage designer for that. The beauty is that your can have the video segments changing at opening and close. By my knowledge there is no facility to get these four videos completely in sync in the collage designer, other then as said, making sure that the video files made in step 1 do start precisely at the same moment, hence to have them start in the designer at the same moment (in advanced settings, the playback timing start them all at once), they might still be in sync.

Sorry to chime in this late (although 2 days …..). I browsed through the conversations, but I do see what precisely it is you want to achieve. It is your aim to get this 18 hour video on just one disk.
Or do you want the disk to be Blu-ray compatible so that it can be played on a standard BR player? If you aim to do that and try to make the 18 hours fit on one disk, even if PD could cope with that, you might expect the video quality to be very, very low.
In the first case, it may be a matter of just copying your files to a BR disk, using ordinary burn software. You don’t need PD for that.
In the latter case I would simply cut (or produce) the video into smaller chunks that fit on disk and allow for a bio-break when the disks are changed? You may even increase the quality of your video a bit.

Please tell us a bit more: is there any error message for the file that is refused? Did you look at the properties of that very file, to see whether it is still a bit different from the rest? Did you try to play the file outside PD and did it play alright? Maybe also te version of you PD etc. Other memebers would ask you to send the Dxdiag file so that we can have a look at your computer settings and drivers... So please give us a bit mpore information.
Thanks

Any idea whats wrong?
All the files have precisely the same specs, lenght of the result is about the same as the total of the individual files. The audio specs are a bit higher in the merged file but that should not be a problem. What makes you say that something is wrong?
Did you try to look at the result?
I can only guess that you might see a hickup at the place where the clips were merged, in that case I would assume that (some of) the frames that were wrong and caused a new file to be started are still included in the clips. In that case you may need a video editor to remove those frames, or maybe you can tell the merging software to forget a number of frames at the end of each clip?
From this disctance and having no experience with the .dv files, and software you use, i can only be guessing, you understand....

Are u certain that when combining .dv files there will be a loss of quallity?
No, on the contrary. As I understand your ordeal a bit better, one would assume that the pieces indeed all have the same specs.
And when they all have the same specs and you maintain those specs when combining them, there is in principle no reasons why conversion (which might be the reason for quality loss) will take place. Maybe you can find software that allows you to easily (and quickly) append the files, in the order desired.

Guys, let me ask. The combination of .dv files into one master .dv, is it call wrapping or wrap?
Video Wrapping is a term often used to encapsulate series of video frames into a file format that also includes metadata the describes the content.
If you want to turn a series of (.dv) video clips (files) into one (.dv) video file, that might be called appending, or stitching or combining (as you say in the beginning) etc.
Unless you have a very specific reason for gluing the .dv video clips together, I would not do that; for various reasons, including: the resulting file may become much longer and thus more laborious to inputting, processing, copying, transferring, etc. ;
also in the appending process some conversion might take place in case one or more clips have different specifications (the resulting appended clip likely adheres to one specification). And conversion mostly leads to lesser quality.
and lastly, if you want to edit the clips, it may be much more handy to do that with smaller files.
So, it would be good to look at the question: what is the result I want. Is that "only" a series of clips that now are one (long) video file. In that case you may want to look for more simple video software that can do just that.
In case you also want to edit the clips and maybe even make a video format that be used more universally, then you may indeed want to look for a video editing program.
Suggest you search for Mac Video editing software to find out which are available and to what extend they can help you getting to the desired result.
And indeed Powerdirector can help you with both kind of results mentioned, but as you might have understood: you need a windows platform.
Have fun!

Have a look at the Youtube tutorials Cyberlink has. Or from Sharper Turtle, which are excellent!
This one is about music. The others work likewise.

Hola
intento descargar plantillas gratuitas y me aparece un mensaje poniendo:
este archivo no tiene una aplicacion asociada para llevar a cabo esta acción. Instala una aplicacion o crea una asociacion ....
¿que puedo hacer para solucionarlo?
Gracias
Please give an example of the download (from where etc.) the filename and the version of PD you have installed.

If you select the clip, in the bar above the timeline a button effect will appear that opens the effects list and options
|
|
In the picture above see the list of effects applied to the clip (Lightning being the only one here). By unticking the box, the effect will not longer be in effect. To delete the effect, select the effect to be deleted and click on the minus next to "above" and "below" under the white effect list... It is not so evident, I admit.

Before getting into the questions: the Media Content Area is an area that PD maintains for all media files that you may want to work with in your project. It is your working area from which you add media into the time line to build and edit and produce a video.
The other media types that can be selected from the drop down menu are all media (files) that PD makes additionally available for building your video project. I have to admit that this at first can be very confusing, because they all appear in the same area on screen.
The Media Room is a working area specific to your project. Hence when you save a project all media in this working area is saved as part of the project. Thus also when you open a project the complete working area is reinstated too. A new project will come with an empty workspace (=media content area).
The other media from the dropdown menu always stays the same: background images, color boards, etc.
Your questions:
- If you permanently want to add a background image (available to all your projects), click on the background images in the dropdown menu and right click on any of the images and select from the menu: Open File Location. This will reveal where PD stores these images. You can add your image into this folder, and it will reappear next time when you select back ground images. Note also that the images may vary per video format and that they are kept in different folders (which becomes apparent from the folder name). Mind you: this only applies to the back ground images. And it applies to the sample clips (which have their own folder) that can automatically be added to the Media Content Area that will appear when you tick the box in preferences.
- From the above it becomes clear that reopening the program or making a new project, will have impact on the media content, but not on the back ground images collection. Your additional image will be there where you have put it; provided you are using the same video format.
- In the folder used in 1) 😊
O, and notice that the folder structure is for PD 18, so any new version may come with a new folder structure. It would make sense to save to old folder before you upgrade!
Have fun!

Because it remained very long in update status, I updated the App Manager manually (from the Cyberlink website), indeed to 1.7.2617.0a.
After that I managed to download some of the media files. But it goes very slow and requires a lot of patience.
In general -so is my experience- the App Manager is very slow. When actively downloading, I notice that my other internet traffic is also slowed down.
It may indeed be the server. I am sure that Cyberlink is aware.

We may need a bit more information, Rockhard. By my knowledge nothing has changed over the last few days in the PD set. But maybe there were changes to your system etc.
It would help if you share the details of the video specs used in and out, the PD version, and a DXDiag file so we can have a look at your systems settings?
|
|
Dear Brobox,
uploading a video in YouTube creator academy is fairly easy and you have a bit more control on the meta data and settings of the video on the platform. I use it over the PD upload function also because I want to have the local copy in my preferred format at hand...
|
|
I don't think you can.
It would be a nice feature to have. Maybe you can propose a change, by using the 'Provide suggestions' in the File menu....
|
|
Very good that you present your situation so clearly in the videos!
My feeling and recommandation would be to focus on getting to the latest version first. It appears that that version has a working tracking function, at least on our systems.
|
|
It is an option in the Editing Tab of the preferences. If you untag this option, it will "remain" in clip mode.
|
|
Thanks for the video and the JPGs. It clearly showed your case.
My first suggestion would be like tomasc to track first without the image. That, apparently does not help.
I have tried to replay your case in my system, and all works as expected. Including using a png image file.
So something else is going on. My PD version is 18.1.2405.0, do you have the same?
If you want to make sure that it is not (the driver of) your NVIDIA card, then switch off (all) the hardware encoding options.
What about the mp4 file? I guess that it plays without tracting too? And it also plays in the Motion Tracker screen without the tracking (using the play button)?
What happens if you press the button to track one frame only?
Did you try another image / video combination? Maybe also with a video that is not from "captured" (as the name of file might indicate).
The included image appears in the timeline, track 2, if I press the Okay button WITHOUT tracking.....
(I am doing the same as optodata is: give suggestions for possible causes for this to happen. All combinations work in my system, also the video/audio separated as he suggests. We have to do a bit more Sherlock-ing I guess.)
let us know how it goes!
|
|
Perhaps you can elaborate a bit?
What video type, what video settings? You use Motion tracker from the tools menu I assume?
Maybe a screen shot of what you do?

Warry, curtain was only referring to this limitation in the "Batch Produce..." feature now that they found it exists. What curtain would like in the future is just a generic "Produce" queue that one can fill with any form of produce requests from any projects all with unique options and have the machine work unattended producing the queue.
Jeff
I see. Thanks.

1) You can only produce full movies. If you want to make several partial clips of a video, you are out of luck.
You CAN produce sections of the timeline. Watch this: <a>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwsawtU9IyQ</a>
A good tutorial on sections. What you might be looking for is at about 3:15
