I have just purchased Ultra version 16 with the purpose of streaming M2TS videos made by power director 14 to my Samsung led 55 TV. Power DVD has reconised my TV,but will not play a M2TS file to the TV. The problem seems to be in the streaming (rendering) part. A MPG video file will work. Can anybody help? thanking You.
Thanks Anja the Dane, It works well.
Hi all.

Im doing a video off my great uncle story on the western front during the first world war. Is it possible to do a scroll down of 16 lines of all his service records ,maybe 2 or 3 at a time in a stationary postion, like movies do at the end. Power Director 14 , 2302 patch.

Hello 1 Nina.
I have been having the same problems with my GTX titan GPU, it will not accept hardware acceleration within Power Director 12 or 13.with the newest driver .When I produce the GPU shows only 4 to 6% usage and the CPU up to 100%( Intel 3930K) on 2011 socket, Asus 79pro motherboard. When one pays $1200 for a GPU and can not be used only within this editing program I wanted to find out why? so I contacted Nvidia customer support. To me it seems to be CUDA utilization, as the Titan has 2600 CUDA cores, what a waste of money and resources, this is the answer I received.
Merry Christmas all,
Are there any members that can get their GPU to use more than 21% and 5 to 6% of memory usage while rendering their video through PD 11.? This seems to be the maximum I can extract from mine, no matter how much I load the timeline up with extras. The Cpu goes to 80% /100% . Then a warning flashes up high CPU usage. All buttons are enabled for fast rendering.

GPU: Nvidea Geforce GTX 580.

CPU: intel core i7-2600 3.40 ghz

Memory: 16348MB.

64 bit windows 7
Hi. Problem solved. Sonicfire pro 5 is not what PD11 recognizes. It is Quicktracks, (QX518 CF) which was missing on my computer, once downloaded PD11 accepted the music. SmartSound is the name of company like Cyberlink and Sonicfire is an Audio like Wave editor and Quicktracks is a file that holds music folders and why that went missing i dont know. Still sounds a bit confusing. Thankyou to all who answered my problem. Graeme
Hi all, Ever since i have installed PD 11, I have lost all my music in smartsound. After i have clicked magic music in timeline and then smartsound button nothing appears. What do ihave to do to get it back? I have Sonicfire 5 installed on my computer and all albums i have purchased play okay.Should they play in PD 11? Hoping for some help. Graeme
Hi, Robert2S. To answer your question I downloaded from the CL ,site. Im a platinum member, using a login & password. Thanks for promp replys. Graeme.
Hi . I have just purchased power director 11 ultimate suite and downloaded everything except the first part (CL-pus -01 part1 exe). I have Norton360 premium and it will not let me accept it. It reads it is not safe and has been removed, it also does not give me an option to bypass it.is there any help out there. Graeme
Hi everyone.
Was there a codec supplied with power director 8,9,10, when downloaded, if not, what are members using that is best suited for power director 10? ( windows 7 64 ) (Intel core i7 2600 gpu GTX 580. I am not getting smooth (jerky) video play back on my computer, the screen is a full HD BENQ, but when burned to Blu-ray and played on my full HD TV it is very good. If there was one supplied with PD10 ,what is it called? Graeme.
HI. When i produce a AVCHD video a popup block appears that states (High Handle usage by power director exe), is that something to be concern about? Nothing seems to affect the video or crashes the program. It appears every time i produce for about 10 seconds. GPU,nvidia GTX 580 cpu, intel core i7, 2600k ,16 gigs ram. Graeme
Back again . Found the gpu monitors on window gadgets and installed.
1. the cpu running at 100 % and ready to blow up.
2. The gpu at the same time, as follows, GPU clock 0 Mhz 63degreee C usage 3% (maximum I noticed).
Memory clock 2005 Mhz. used0.0 Free1.500 Total 1.500.
Shader clock 0 Mhz
Disabled stablelisation and helped producing by 1 % The CPU went down to 89% to 100%
Disabled video denoise helped by 15%
So the question remains how can I get the GPU to do more.
Thankyou Jeff. How do I find and use Nvidea monitors for the GPU on my computer.

Graeme
Hi James1. I tried it all. MTS2 files are imported, put into timeline ,cut and edited, stabilized all, 4.8 gig video.Click produce button to produce to file.
1..Nothing enable . in 10 minutes cancelled it, read, time remaining 2.11.53 hrs 7% ( same file)
2. Hardware video encoder enabled in 10 minutes cancelled it, read 1.53.52 remaining 8% (same file)
3. SVRT enabled, in 10 minutes cancelled it, read , time remaining 2.09.55 7%. (same file).
4. Trail version Sony Vegas 10. in 10 minutes cancelled it , read ,time remaining 0.45.62 18% (same file)
When producing with Power Director the CPU was running 100% at all times ,with notices popping up stating High handle usage and high CPU.
With Sony the CPU was running at 68% to 75% and in 10 minutes of producing was 50% quicker.
That proves to me the GPU Cuda was working as well as the CPU. I hope you can steer me in the right direction as i liked editing with PD 10 better. Graeme
HI GPU, card is Nvidea GTX 580 CPU , AMD phenom x6 1050 ,16 gig of ram
Hi. How do I enable Nvidea CUDA in Power Director 10? Open CL doesnt work for me. Graeme
Hi . James1. Your computer specks sounds very good and you stated you have no problems editing. Very rare if you have read this forum. The biggest problem is freezing on the timeline and carring through to the finished product. Can you supply your ( Windows experience index)---Start--control--system--then the blue windows experience index line. That gives you how each part performs and the lowest reading is the bottle neck that limits your computer performance. Mine is 5.9 on the primary hard drive and the rest is 7.9 7.9 7.4 7.4. Going to be interesting what your lowest reading is. Graeme
Hi Dafydd. Please, please, provide your Diagnostic file, and windows Experience index,so we mortals can work out what is needed for faultless full HD Editing , especially your lowest index which is the bottle neck of any computer and its limitations. Graeme
Fisher 2223. Hi Im glad you tried Windows experience index, with a base results of 3 is not good, but putting a video card upgrade, like i did( nvidea GTX 580)which is on top of the list you received ,will improve the stability, to the extent of the next lowest base score which is your processor 5.5 which i think is not high enough for serious HD editing it is never ending and costs dollars. Be careful when buying a video card the GTX 580 needed a minimum power source of 750 watts so i had to upgrade the power box , the total cost $650 Australian dollars. With my computer i can edit AVCHD in preview setting of full HD with no freezing or jerkiness for the first time, exept for the first 4 seconds of a 22gig in the timeline. The GTX580 is a over kill I would settle for 560 or 570 unless you are in 3D. Graeme
Hi all. I had the same problem unstable videos ( Jerky). No matter what i tried in preview, authoring, burning, the end results was not as good as what came out of the camera. Ask carl 312 I gave him a hard time. What i wanted to know what part of my computer was causing the problem. I came across this. Hit start button --control panel--systems--Windows Experience Index-=--. Read your lowest subscore, mine was 5.0 Primary hard disk. That tells you the weakest part of your computer, and can only perform to that level (5.0) the rest of my score was, 7.4--7.4--7.9--7.9--5.0 . 7.9 is the highest score you can achieve . By those readings I thought i had a top computer but the hard disk could not cope with the reading and writing on the same disk for HD editing. I bought and installed a SATA 7500 rpm hard disk and my rating went to 7.0 It has improved my blu-ray playback by 90% The only part of the video that is unstable is the first 4seconds. perhaps a 10,000 rpm hard disk would be better. To sum it up I believe if your computer cannot have a sub score of 6.5/7.9 forget about HD editing and burning of a blu-ray disk.Perhaps ALL moderators can confirm or deny this . Also all power director 10 users that claim they have good results please state your lowest sub score. Good luck.
